Foxboro, Mass. -- Suzanne N. Thompson-Muscolino, 40, of Foxboro Mass. formerly of Weymouth, Mass., passed away on Tuesday at the Stanley Tippett House in Needham, Mass. following a battle with cancer. She was born at Buffalo, New York. She was a graduate of Orchard Park High School at Orchard Park, New York. She resided in Weymouth, before moving to Foxboro, three years ago. She was a Staff Coordinator for the American Multi-Line Services, an insurance firm located on State Street, Boston. She is survived by her husband: Anthony ''Tony'' V. Muscolino to whom she had been married for eleven years. She is survived by a son: Nicholas Alexander Muscolino, two years of age of Foxboro, and a daughter: Isabella Grace Muscolino, four years of age of Foxboro; her parents: Raymond W. Thompson and Carolyn J. (Carberry) Thompson of West Seneca, N.Y.; her grandmother: Alberta D. (Peck) Carberry of Williamsville, N.Y.; three brothers: Timothy Thompson of East Aurora, New York, Jeffrey Thompson of Buffalo, N.Y. and Kristoffer Thompson of West Seneca, N.Y.; and as sister: Jennifer Thompson of Plainville, Mass. A Funeral Service will be held at The First Baptist Church at 594 Washington Street, Braintree, on Tuesday at 11:00 AM by the Rev. Robert Killeffer, who will officiate the service. Burial shall follow at the Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree, MA at approximately 12:15 P.M. Arrangements are by the Mortimer N. and Russell F. Gerard James Starkey - retired Executive Vice President of the U.S. Lines who recently resided in Rockland and lived for most of his life in Braintree, passed away on April 22, 2006 and was the beloved husband of Carolyn A. (Gallagher) Starkey; and the Devoted Father of Detective Gerard J. Starkey, Jr. of the Miami Dade Police Department married to Vice Mayor Susan (Dreisch) Starkey, from the Town of Davie, Florida and the Lt. Timothy E. Starkey of the Braintree Fire Department, who is married to JoAnn (Nelligan) Starkey of Abington, Mass. He is survived by six grandchildren. Loving brother of Mary Blaisdell of Glenview, Illinois, Oralee Bruynell of Braintree and Leo Starkey of Braintree. Brother of the late Joseph Starkey. Obituary – Irene L. (Leighton) Zopatti, 81, of Braintree died on Saturday at the South Shore Hospital. She was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester. She moved to Braintree in 1958. She was a graduate of the Jeremiah E. Burke High School Class of 1940. She was a homemaker devoted to her family. She was a homemaker devoted to her family. She was a Communicant of Saint John the Baptist Church in Quincy. She enjoyed antiques and going to auctions and yard sales. She enjoyed many hobbies including needlepoint, rug braiding and furniture refinishing. She was the wife of the late Olimpio H. Zopatti; she is survived by two sons, Stephen G. Zopatti of South Weymouth and Lt. Mark Zopatti of the Braintree Fire Department residing in Braintree, two daughters: Lorraine E. Holbrook of South Weymouth and Marie C. Lucas of Braintree. She is survived by a sister: Marjorie Sanders of Braintree. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. She was the Mother of the late Robert “Boe” Zopatti. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint John the Baptist Church 44 School Street Quincy Center on Thursday at 9:00 AM Burial will be at the Mass National Cemetery, in Bourne.

Braintree --- Phyllis M. (Selestowicz) Szocik, 85, of Braintree died peacefully at her home on Monday. She was born and educated in Worcester. Prior to her marriage, she worked for the Thompson Wire Mill in WORCESTER. She was a retired seamstress in the garment industry. She worked for both the David Brett Company and the Garland Company, before it moved to New York. She was an avid reader and loved reading mystery novels. She also loved tomato gardening. She also was an avid professional and personal seamstress, even making American doll clothing. She was a communicant of Saint Thomas More Parish in Braintree. She was a world wide traveler who had been in Gdansk, Poland during the beginning of the Solidarity Movement, and visited her family in Poland, as well as traveling to Rome and meeting Pope John Paul II. She also had dinner with the Chris Hill, the U.S. Ambassador to Poland at his residence in Warsaw Poland in July of 2002. She also had traveled to the Holy Land on a religious pilgrimage. And she had traveled as well to both Paris and Cannes, in France and to Hawaii. She loved New England the most though. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Szocik. She is survived by two sons: Joseph J. Szocik and his wife Paula, of Quincy, and John J. Szocik of Braintree; three daughters: Eleanor Szocik of Quincy, Pauline Szocik of Quincy and Christine Zadrozny and her husband William, of New Jersey. She is survived by a granddaughter: Ashley Johnson of Braintree. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Thomas More, Elm Street and Hawthorn Road, Braintree on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. The Reverend Father James McCarthy, pastor of the Church, will be the celebrant. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by the Mortimer N. Hingham -- Elizabeth Duff (Forsyth) White, 86, died Sunday at the Harbor House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. She was born in Boston and was raised in Cohasset where she graduated from Cohasset High School. She was a homemaker and also worked during the 1950's at Alves Photo Laboratory in Braintree, Mass. She was a member of the Old South Union Congregational Church in South Weymouth and was a former member of the Porter United Methodist Church in Weymouth where she was part of the Women's Society for Christian Service. She enjoyed caring for children and was an expert seamstress, as well. She loved travelling in Canada each summer while visiting relatives. She had also travelled to Europe and to England. She loved California, Alaska and Florida. She is the wife of the late Frederic G. White who died in 1989 and is survived by her daughter, Frances C. Rose of Rockland and a son-in-law, John R. Rose of Rockland and by two brothers Arthur Forsyth and James Forsyth.

He was the proud grandfather of seven grand children and five great grand children. Ruth Dora Killam Sargent, 80, of Avon, where she had resided for two years, died at the Caritas Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. She was born in Boston and had resided in Braintree from 1962 to 2002, for a total of forty years. She was a graduate of Dorchester School for Girls.
In Braintree she was one of the original crossing guards for school children. She served as a Crossing Guard and as a Police Department Matron for 32 years. She retired from Police work in 1996.
She had been a foster Mother to almost 400 children over a thirty year span of time. She received the Foster Parents Award for the year, 1987. She enjoyed seeing her foster children and natural children spending time together at the holidays.
She enjoyed cooking and of course, caring for children.
She was the wife of the late Clarence Justin Sargent; she is survived by two sons: Robert J. Sargent of Braintree and Keith A. Sargent of Avon; three daughters, Diane R. Brown of Marshfield, Kimberly A. Sargent of Avon, and Jan M. Sargent of Avon. She is survived by a foster daughter whom she considered a daughter: Mary Cronin of Haverhill. She was the mother of the late Douglas C. Sargent.
She is survived by a brother: Robert T. Killam, Jr. of Quincy; two sisters: Gertrude Dixon of Coco Beach Florida and Alice Liszewski of Falmouth. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren and almost 400 foster children.
Private funeral service will be held at the Riverside Cemetery in Cornish, Maine on Tuesday at 2:00 PM. Arrangements are by the Mortimer N Peck Funeral Homes, 516 Washington St. in Braintree.
