Priscilla (Anderson) (Hall) Bassett, 88 years of age, passed away at Southwood at Norwell Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility, Norwell on June 26, 2010. She was born in Boston February 20, 1922 and moved to Wollaston in 1924 then to Weymouth in 1952 where she lived until 1994 when she moved to Halifax. She attended Massachusetts Fields School, Wollaston and graduated from North Quincy High School in 1939. While living in Weymouth she was an active member of the East Weymouth Congregational Church. Priscilla was the wife of the late Ralph Clifford Bassett who died in 2003 and the late Ray D. Hall who died in 1985. She is survived by two sons Mark D. Hall married to Kathleen Hall of Whitman and Dana R. Hall married to Wendy Hall of Summerfield, Florida. She is survived by three granddaughters Carolyn Hall of Anchorage, Alaska, Alyssa Simard of Raymond, N.H. and Marianne Hall of Whitman. Priscilla is the sister of Alan Anderson of Shrewsbury and Jean Henderson of Weymouth. A Funeral Service will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington Street, BRAINTREE on Friday, July 2nd at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne with a committal service there at at 1:30 P.M. Visiting hours will be Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home in Braintree, Memorial donations may be sent to the East Weymouth Congregational Church 1320 Commercial St., E. Weymouth, MA. 02189.

She was a graduate of Boston City Hospital School of Nursing and worked there as a registered nurse before joining the nursing staff at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston where she worked for thirty-two years. She is the wife of Joseph Marc Louis-Jeune. She is the devoted mother of Paul Eric Louis-Jeune of Braintree. Linda is the daughter of Helen M. (MacDonald) Clarke of Quincy and the late Emerson Wesley Clarke. She is the sister of Wesley W. Clarke married to Dorothy Clarke of Braintree, Brian P. Clarke married to Paula Clarke of Quincy, Karen Hodges married to Mark Hodges of Clarksville, TN., Susan E. Clarke married to Peter Willmott of Cambridge, England and Janice A. Foley of Milton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Linda’s brother Wesley Clarke is on the staff at the Church of Saint Thomas More in Braintree. There will be a gathering at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St., BRAINTREE on Friday July 9, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass in the Church of Saint Thomas More Elm Street and Hawthorn Road, BRAINTREE at 11:00 A.M. Visiting hours Thursday, July 8th, from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Braintree – Stacia L. (Bielskis) DiBona, 90 years of age entered Life Eternal at the South Shore Hospital on Thursday, July 15, 2010. She was born in Somerville and raised in Brockton. She attended Brockton schools and a Parochial High School in Chicago. She was a former Supervisor at the Raytheon Corp. in Quincy and Braintree where she was employed for thirty-five years prior to her retirement in 1985. Stacia and her late husband Ario L. DiBona who died in 2008 were married for sixty-five years. During their retirement years they traveled to Hawaii, Italy, Spain and France among other destinations. Both she and her husband were among the original parishioners of Saint Thomas More Parish. She enjoyed gardening. She was a longtime Braintree resident formerly having resided in Quincy. Stacia was known to be devoted to her family members. She is survived by her daughter Claudia M. Hennigan married to Tim Hennigan of Hanover and her son Damien D. DiBona married to Elissa Katuer of Somerville. She is the loving grandmother of Timothy R. Hennigan, Jr. married to Robyn Hennigan of Brant Rock, Marshfield, Theresa Hennigan Bonnyman married to Kevin Bonnyman of Halifax, MA and Jennifer (Hennigan) Giles of Maui, Hawaii. She is also survived by six great grandchildren. Stacia is survived by three sisters Anna Tautkus of Brockton, Theresa Loef of Pacific Palisades, CA. and Loretta Batchelder of Middleborough. She is survived by a brother William Bielskis of Chicago. She was the sister of the late Frank Bielskis formerly of Brockton. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. There will be a gathering at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St., BRAINTREE on Tuesday, July 20th at 9:00 A.M. to be followed by a Funeral Mass in the Church of Saint Thomas More, Elm Street and Hawthorn Road, BRAINTREE at 10:00 A.M. The Reverend Father James McCarthy pastor of the Church will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Heart Association 20 Speen St, Framingham, MA. 01701 or to Saint Thomas More Parish 8 Hawthorn Road, Braintree, MA. 02184.

Quincy – Madelyn A. (Connolly) O’Neil, 87 years of age, entered Life Eternal Sunday, November 14, 2010 at her home at the Riverbay Club in Quincy. She was a former resident of Braintree for many years. She was a retired manager for the South Shore National Bank of Quincy, the Bank of Boston and the Bank of America. She was engaged in banking from 1966 to 1994. She retired when she became seventy years of age. During the W.W.II years she was a crane operator at the Watertown Arsenal from 1940 to 1944. She received her education in Bridgewater and Boston schools. Madelyn was an active and faithful communicant of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in Braintree. She was known to be devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with family members. She was the wife of the late Edward W. O’Neil whom she married June 27th, 1944 and who died in 1976. She is survived by five children: Edward J. O’Neil of Stamford, CT., Kevin W. O’Neil, M.D. married to Mary Rose O’Neil of Sarasota, FL., Joseph M. O’Neil married to Lisa O’Neil of Goshen, CT., Janet M. DiBona married to Philip DiBona of Braintree and John E. O’Neil married to Robin O’Neil of Tallahassee, FL. She is survived by ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is the sister of Timothy Connolly of FL., Catherine DiBona of N.H., Rose Leahy of Melrose, Theresa Woernle of Newton, John Connolly of Bridgewater, Patricia Swanson of Arizona and the late Jeremiah Connolly. Patricia Ellen (Doyle) Sherlock, 70 years of age passed away at her home on Monday February 14, 2011 after a period of failing health. Patricia was born in Boston and was a graduate of Saint Patrick’s High School in Roxbury. She was a Communicant of Saint Thomas More Parish in Braintree. She has been a Braintree resident for 50 years. Patricia is the devoted wife of Thomas P. Sherlock. She is the loving mother of Deborah Ann Geagan married to Joseph Geagan of Braintree, Steven Sherlock of Quincy, Scott E., Sherlock married to Stacy Sherlock of Braintree and Kevin Sherlock of Braintree. She was the mother of the late Linda Marie Montgomery and the late Thomas J. Sherlock. She is survived by five grandchildren Jaime Marie Geagan, Jeffrey Montgomery, Julie Ann Geagan, Nicole Rose Sherlock and Ashley Marie Sherlock. Patricia is also survived by two great-granddaughters Hailee and Emilee Hubley. She is the sister of Joseph Doyle of Stoughton, Edward Sullivan of Weymouth, John Sullivan of Cambridge and the late Marie Santry. Patricia is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A gathering will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck- Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington Street, BRAINTREE on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 9:00am to be followed by a Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Thomas More, Elm Street and Hawthorn Road, Braintree at 10:00am. Hingham – John “Jack” W. Knowles, 81 years of age, passed away at the Life Care Center in Scituate on Tuesday, March 15th, 2011. He was born in Winthrop and had resided in Quincy and Braintree before moving to Hingham thirteen years ago. Jack was a retired Service Technician for the Pitney-Bowes Company in Waltham. He retired in 1990. He was a graduate of North High School. Jack was an active member of the Masonic Fraternity being a member of Delta Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Braintree, St. Stephen’s Royal Arch Chapter in Quincy and The Taleb Grotto of Quincy. He is survived by three sons: Jeffrey Knowles of Onset, Jay Knowles of Wareham and Jonathan Knowles of Durango, Colorado. He is the grandfather of Jason, Joseph, John, Jeffrey, Jr. and Jacob Knowles. He leaves his companion of many years Mary Rose Allen of Hingham. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, March 22nd at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington Street, Braintree from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. with a Masonic service to which relatives and friends are invited at 4:30 P.M. A Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 23rd at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Scott D. Killian will officiate.
