Randolph - James H. Conlon, 68, of Randolph died at the Tower Hill Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Canton, on Thursday. He was born in Randolph and had resided there for most of his life. From 1957 to 1961 he served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Cold War period. He was a building contractor for his firm, the James Conlon Construction Company. He is survived by his wife: Jean E. (Retzel) Conlon; a son: Michael James Conlon of Holbrook; and two sisters: Mary Wright of Michigan and Joanne Earley of Wyoming. Weymouth – Colleen Curran, 44, of Weymouth where she has been a lifelong resident died at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center, Boston on Saturday, February 2, 2008. Colleen was a graduate of Weymouth High School Class of 1980.
She attended the South Shore Baptist Church in Hingham. Colleen loved music and dancing.
She was a homemaker and liked to call herself “a domestic engineer”.
She is survived by a daughter and a son Crystal L. Curran and MacKenzie D. Smith, Jr. both of Weymouth; two grandchildren: Curtis “Sam” Curran and Cierra “C.C.” Curran of Weymouth. Colleen is survived by her mother Patricia (Murray) Curran of Weymouth. Her father was the late Martin Curran. She is survived by three sisters; Lynne Curran of Marion, Ma., Patti Davidson of Weymouth and Barbara McDougall of Weymouth and by two brothers: Marty Curran of California and Brian Curran of Arizona. She was the sister of the late Maureen Curran.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck - Russell Peck Funeral home 870 Broad Street (opposite the U.S. Post Office in Jackson Square) EAST WEYMOUTH on Friday, February 8th at 10:00A.M. The Reverend Jeramie Rinne of the South Shore Baptist Church, Hingham will officiate. The interment will be private. There will be a visiting hour at 9:00A.M. Friday prior to the Funeral Service at the Funeral Home.

Orabelle Louise (Silver) Daly of Hanover formerly of Quincy 88 years of age passed away at the Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham on Tuesday March 11, 2008. Orabelle was born, raised and Educated in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia Canada. She was extremely proud of her Canadian heritage. She would return to Nova Scotia every summer to vacation with her family. She moved to Quincy in 1937. She enjoyed bowling and was on several leagues in her younger years. She also enjoyed gardening and dancing. She was an expert seamstress and made and altered all of her families’ clothing
She was the wife of the late Charles I. Daly. Loving mother of Charlene Kennedy married to James Kennedy of Hanover, Janice Stark married to Alan Stark of Hanover, Charles Daly married to Marilyn Daly of Lakeland, Fl., Kim Daly-Haskell married to Douglas Haskell of Marshfield and Brian Daly married to Nancy Daly of Braintree. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at the South Congregational Church (Corner of Washington and Pond Streets) SOUTH BRAINTREE on Friday at 11:00am with Pastor Scott Killian officiating. BRAINTREE - Grace M. (Matthew) Crispin, 86 years of age, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2008, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. She was born and raised in Dedham and was a graduate of Dedham High School. She lived in Braintree since 1941. She was a very active member of the Union Congregational Church of Weymouth and Braintree, where she was a member of the Church Choir, the Women's Club, the Progress Circle, and the Ladies' Guild. Grace was a member of the Church for sixty years. She was adept at growing African Violets and for thirty years supervised the plant table at the successful Church Fairs which are known throughout the South Shore area. Grace was a founder of the ''Braintree Holidays'' with her sister-in-law, the late Braintree Selectwoman, Marjorie ''Marge'' Crispin. They provided beneficial items for those in need. She was also a member of the Women's Seafarer's Friend Society in Boston which gave Christmas gifts to seafarers away from home at the holiday season.
Grace often traveled to Denver, Colorado to be with her son, Douglas, and to assist him in the raising of the African Violets. Douglas owns a firm specializing in African Violets named the ''The Violet Showcase.''
She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a member of the former ladies' Society, ''The Braintree Philergians.'' She was also an avid knitter and a cake decorator. She enjoyed having and making Teddy Bears.
Grace was the beloved wife of the late Robert Calvin Crispin, who died in 1986. She is the devoted mother of Judy A. Alger married to Douglas Alger of Wayland, Douglas M. Crispin, married to Barbara Crispin of Denver, Colorado and David J. Crispin, married to Gail M. Crispin of Braintree. Grace is the loving grandmother of David R. Alger of Canton, Robert D. Alger of Wayland, B. Gayle Crispin of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Christina R. Crispin of Rochester, NY, Michael B. Crispin of Boston, Sarah E. Crispin of Braintree, Laurie A. Crispin of Boston.
Grace is the sister of Violet Matthew Breach of Dedham and Christina Matthew McLean of Sharon. She is the sister of the late James Royal Matthew, formerly of Seattle, Washington.

BRAINTREE - Anthony Paul Caruso, age 83, of Braintree, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 15th, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. He was a grocer and owner of the Rosedale Grocery Store located at 547 Washington Street Dorchester, MA, which was started by his father in 1938 and continues presently under family operation. Anthony was a member of the O.F.D. ''Originally From Dorchester'' Club. He was a graduate of Dorchester High School and a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council located in the Lower Mills section. He resided in Braintree for fifty-one years. Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Paula Marie (Roach) Caruso. He leaves three devoted sons, Attorney Guy F. Caruso married to Margaret Caruso of Braintree, Vincent P. Caruso, married to Rhonda Caruso of Pembroke and Eugene T. Caruso of Braintree. He is the loving grandfather of Marc Caruso of Concord, Paul B. Caruso of Randolph and Anthony J. Caruso of Braintree. He is also survived three great grandchildren Mia Caruso and Noah Caruso both of Concord and Ashley Caruso, of Randolph. Anthony was one of 14 children and the sole survivor is his sister Marie McBride of Melrose, MA. He is also survived by extended family members who are Kevin and Katheryn Manasyan of Braintree. And he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be held at the Mortimer N. BRAINTREE - Katherine B. (Burke) Buckley, 86, of Braintree passed away at the Colonial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Weymouth on Sunday February 1, 2009. She was born in Charlestown and was a graduate of Charlestown High School. She had resided in Braintree for sixty years. Katherine was a retired legal secretary for the Law Firm of Finnegan and Stanzler in Boston. She was a communicant of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish in South Braintree.
Katherine was the wife of the late David J. Buckley who died in 1979. She is survived by a daughter Susan M. Buckley of Braintree and by a son Kevin J. Buckley Married to Cynthia Buckley of North Easton. She is survived by a sister Anna Burke of Charlestown.

WEYMOUTH - Esther M. (Brennan) Burfitt, 87 years of age of Weymouth where she was a lifelong resident Entered Life Eternal at the Pope Nursing Home in Weymouth on Wednesday June 3, 2009. She was born in Somerville and graduated from Weymouth High School. She was an active member at the First Church in Weymouth where she had been a Deaconess. Esther also belonged to the Weymouth Garden Club and to a Bowling League.
She is the wife of the late John W. Burfitt who died in 1988. She is survived by three daughters: Janice Moore married to David Moore of Plymouth, Pamela A. Cunningham married to Gary Cunningham of Weymouth and Susan Stack married to Leo Stack of South Carolina. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and by a sister Ethel Anastos married to Peter Anastos of Hanover.

BRAINTREE, Donald “Don” C. Currier, 73 years of age passed away on June 4, 2009 at his home in Braintree. Donald was born in Boston and raised in Pittsfield, Ma. He was a graduate of Pittsfield High school. He was a Quincy resident before moving to Braintree in 1978. Don received his education at the University of Massachusetts School of Engineering graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1958. He worked as an engineer for Bethlehem Steel Corporation of Quincy from 1958 to 1963. He then worked for the American Sugar Corporation also known as Domino Sugar in Charlestown until 1964. He then worked for Raytheon in Cambridge which was formerly the Badger Company as a Project Engineer until his retirement in 1993. Don maintained a home in Ellsworth Maine and also Braintree. He was a sports enthusiast. Don enjoyed traveling in his motor home throughout the New England States. He enjoyed working on his grounds, and doing home improvement and woodworking projects in both Maine and Braintree.
Don is survived by his loving and devoted wife Claire A. (Lewis) Currier to whom he was married to for almost 50 years. Their 50th anniversary would have been on July 11th. Don is the loving father of Nancy Elaine O’Connor married to Kevin O’Connor of Wollaston and Susan Rebecca Blake of Braintree. He is the proud grandfather of Stephen Charles Blake and Sarah Elizabeth Blake both of Braintree and Rachel Elizabeth O’Connor and Leanne Rose O’Connor both of Wollaston. He is also the great-grandfather of twins Brianna Elizabeth Blake and Isabella Claire Blake.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck- Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street BRAINTREE on Monday June 8, 2009 at 1:00pm.
