ORANGE - Donald A. Deane, 82, of 44 Winter St., died late Monday evening, June 28, 2004, in the Athol Memorial Hospital following an illness.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Witty's Funeral Home, Orange.

DANIELSVILLE, Ga. - Karen Jeanne Brown Gerbovaz, 58, died Wednesday, June 23 ,2004 after a prolonged fight with cancer.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. today at the University of Georgia College for Women, class of 1968, Mrs. Gerbovaz proudly served as an officer in the U.S. Navy under Admiral Zumwalt command. Recently she worked as a radiology technician.
She was the daughter of former Athol resident Sylvia Girardi Brown, and the late Marshall Clyde Brown. Her grandparents were the late John and Delia Girardi of Athol.
She leaves her husband, Jay, of Danielsville, a son, Jay Allen, and a daughter, Sylvia, both of Atlanta; two sisters, Kathleen Brown McBride of Comer, Ga. and Bernardine Brown Minton of Elberton, Ga.; three brothers, Marshall J. Brown of Middletown, Va., Charles E. Brown of Milledgeville, Ga. and James M. Brown of Salem, Ala. and a half brother, Robert L. Brown, of Calabassas, Bradford Coolidge, and Russell Clark. American Legion Post 102 of Athol represented by Victor Litchfield, Robert Carey, George Terrien, Peter Krustapentas, Indiana, and formerly of Athol, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at the Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.
She was born in Athol on Aug. 17, 1940, a daughter of Elton and Eva (Stevens) Hood.
She was a pharmaceutical technician with CVS.
She leaves a daughter, Teresa Mateyko of Noblesville, IN; a son, David Newell of Calif., died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at an Oakland Hospital.
One of four children, she was born in Troy, Washington St., Rt. 16, Wellesley, Mass.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 24, at 10 a.m. at Church of the Most Precious Blood in Dover, Mass. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Dover.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the George H. Ellison Sr. Scholarship Fund, Salem State College, Salem, MA 01970.
Robert Y. Worster

ORANGE - Robert Y. Worster, 72, of 1 Sunset Dr., Rochester, Maine on March 26, 1932, the son of Bert Worster and Cathryn Young Worster. He moved to the Rochester area in 1969, previously residing in Orange, and New City, Maine Lodge. He enjoyed traveling with his family, photography, and in his younger years, flew private planes. His greatest passion was collecting historic literature, especially concerning the Civil War and the World Wars. He was an animal lover, particularly fond of cats and greyhound dogs. He was a loving and caring husband and father.
Family members include his beloved wife of over 47 years, Dorothy (Sauter) Worster, of Rochester; a son, Mark R. Worster of Rochester; a daughter and her husband, Shelly and Frank Oberholtzer of Merrimack, NH; two nieces and a nephew.
Visitation at the H.J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main St., Rochester, will be Saturday, July 10, beginning at 10 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Michael Hickox, officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, Florida for the past 11 years.
The Greanier, Thayer and King families invite friends and relatives to share in a Celebration and Remembrance of her life at a graveside internment service on Saturday, June 26, at the East Street Cemetery, at 11 a.m. A communal gathering of friends and family will follow the service.

WENDELL - Graveside services were held on Tuesday, June 22, 2004 in the West Orange Cemetery, Orange, for Warren S. Oliver Jr., 66, of 68 Depot Rd. who died on March 31, 2004 in the Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following an illness. The Rev. Vance E. Frank officiated.
Witty's Funeral Home, Orange, directed the arrangements.
