ORANGE - Alfred M. Fisher Jr., 41, died suddenly Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004 at Bay State Medical Center.
Born in Northampton, April 28, 1963, he was the son of Eleanor {Reynolds} Fisher of Greenfield, and the late Alfred M. Fisher Sr.
He had worked as a route manager for Orkin Pest Control for the last four years.
He loved hunting, fishing, snakes and reptiles. He was an avid outdoorsman, and was a past member of the Green River Bowmans Club in Deerfield.
He was a devoted husband, choosing to spend as much time as possible with his family.
Besides his mother in Greenfield, he is survived by his wife Sheila {Derosia} Fisher; one son, Neil Kapise of Athol; three daughters, Sarah Kapise, Kayla, and Kiana Fisher of Orange; three brothers, Francis Fisher and his wife Jody, of Winchester, Gardner Shrine Club and the AARP.
He is survived by one son, Wesley M. Adams of Baldwinville, three grandchildren, several nephews and nieces and many warm, wonderful friends, including Goldie Shepardson of Baldwinville. A son, Gregory K. Adams died in 1987.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in Memorial Congregational Church, 4 Memorial St., on Monday, Oct. 25, at 11a.m. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday in Lamoureux - Fletcher Community Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Memorial Congregational Church, 4 Memorial St., Baldwinville, MA 01436 or to a charity of one's choice.

Life - long Resident Of Athol
ATHOL - Anna M. (Kasputis) Taft, 74 of 485 North Orange Rd., died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, in the UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester.
She leaves a daughter, Cynthia A. (Kasputis) DiPilato, son - in - law, John J. DiPilato, both of North Smithfield, R.I.; two sisters, Betty Kasputis of Orleans, and Nellie Johnson of Freeport, Massachusetts Electric Company in 1985. She was a life - long resident of Athol.
Mrs. Taft was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, the Women’s Guild, and the Athol Golden Ages. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed traveling, crocheting, puzzles, and her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 23, at 10:30 a.m. in the J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home, 137 Main St. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Friday, Oct. 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in her memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Kenney dies

ORANGE - Barbara S. (Stockbridge) Kenney, 91, of 383 East River St., died on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 19, 2004 at Athol Memorial Hospital, Athol, after being stricken ill at home earlier.
She was born in Lowell on May 10, 1913, a daughter of Charles A. and Charlotte M. (Canfield) Stockbridge.
A graduate of the Maynard High School in 1931, she later graduated from the Bridgewater Normal School in 1934, earning her teacher's degree.
After becoming a teacher, she taught in Boxborough for two years and then in Stoneham for two years before moving to Orange in 1938. Retiring in 1974, she had taught in the Orange public schools for 25 years.
A member of the Orange Central Congregational Church for many years, she served as collector for over 40 years and was a member of the church choir. She also had served as a delegate to the Franklin County Association of United Church of Christ, a member of Athenaeum since 1939, a former Girl Scout leader, a member of the Orange Historical Society as well as the Pioneer Valley Historical Society since 1987, serving as a secretary.
A founder of the Athol - Orange Chapter Literacy Volunteers of America, she served in many capacities for LVA as tutor, coordinator, and director. She also had been a volunteer at the Wheeler Memorial Library in Orange since 1989.
She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Mann of Barryville, Vermont, predeceased her.
Services will be held on Monday, Oct. 25, at 11 a.m. at the Orange Central Congregational Church, 93 South Main St., with Rev. Barbara Seamon officiating. Interment will follow in South Cemetery.

ORANGE - A Memorial service for Delene L. (Belado) Chappel, 61, of 415 Tully Rd., who died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. at the Trinitaian Congregational Church, 32 Athol Rd., Warwick.
The Shaw - Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, is directing arrangements.
Caldwell Services
WARWICK - Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 19, in the Metcalf Memorial Chapel, for Bayard A. Cadwell, 79, of 175 Hastings Pond Rd., who died at home following a period of declining health, on Oct. 15, 2004 surrounded by family.
Dan Dibble, pastor, officiated. Nancy Hickler was the organist. The "Marine Corps Hymn" was sung by Earl King. Interment followed in Warwick Center Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Charles Cadwell, Deborah Cadwell, Robb Cadwell, Jack Cadwell, and George Gilman. The United States flag was presented by Rodney Whipple and Earl King to Bayard's son Chaz. Honor Guard and Firing Squad were provided by American Legion Post 102 members Robert Carey, Peter Krustapentus, Victor Litchfield, and George Terrien.
A reception was held at the Cadwell residence on Hastings Pond following the committial service. Witty's Funeral Home, Orange, directed the arrangements.
