Sister Turgeon,
100, Dies
PETERSHAM - Sister Regina Turgeon, 100, of the Sisters of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, of North Main Street, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 13, 2004, at the Infirmary of the Assumption Residence after a prolonged illness. Formerly known as Sr. Joseph - Edmond, she professed 77 years of religious vows.
Born in Princeville, Canada, she was the daughter of Edmond and Marie Exina (Nadeau) Turgeon. She is predeceased by her brothers, Adelard, Aurele, Edgar, Richard and Rome Turgeon; her sisters, Antoinette Brochu, Anne Lamothe, and Sr. Yvonne Turgeon of the Sisters of the Assumption.
Sister Regina spent 41 years as an educator, 36 of these as a missionary and teacher in the Indian Reservations of Onion Lake and Delmas, Saskatchewan, and in Hobbenia, Alberta, Canada. She came to Assumption Residence n 1973 and served in community services and was given to Prayer Ministry.
She leaves her sisters, Bernadette Parr of Andover, Conn., and Sr. Edna Turgeon of the Sisters of the Assumption, as well as beloved nieces and nephews and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Calling hours at Assumption Residence are from 2 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 16, at 10 a.m. in Assumption Residence Chapel. Burial will be in the East Street Cemetery.

Delene L. Chappel
Long - time Area Resident
ORANGE - Delene L. (Belado) Chappel, 61, of 415 Tully Rd., died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at the University of N.H., Corrine Chappel of Hancock, N.H., Kenneth Bowers of Athol; a sister, Jeannine Quader of Athol; 16 grandchildren and five great - grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, James Bowers of Orange.
She was born in Athol, daughter of the late Lauren and Thelma H. (Vorce) Belado and lived in the area all her life.
She was a member of the BPOE in Orange and the American Legion in Athol.
She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed vacationing on the Cape in the Falmouth area. She enjoyed quality time with her dog, K - 9 Baby.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. at the Trinitarian Congregational Church, 32 Athol Rd., Warwick.

John B. Myntti
World War II Veteran
BALDWINVILLE - John B. Myntti, 84, of 70 State Rd., died in his home Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, following an illness.
He was born in Gardner School System and attended the Worcester Trade School. He entered the United States Navy on July 31, 1942 and served primarily at the Pearl Harbor submarine base in Hawaii during World War II. He was discharged honorably on Nov. 22, 1945 at the rank of First Class Machinist. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, the Asiatic - Pacific Ribbon, and the American Area Ribbon for his military service. He earned his first class engineering license in 1951 and moved to Otter River where he worked for the Adams Paper Co. that eventually became the Erving Paper Co. where he retired from on April 1, 1984 as vice president after 33 years. He continued to do consulting work for the company after his retirement.
He belonged to the Gardner American Legion Post No. 129. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of the Erving Paper Company. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins with his friend and loyal companion, his basset hound, Humphrey. He loved his country and his family and will be enormously missed by all who loved him.
After the war, he met the love of his life, Ruth (Higgins) Myntti from Boston, whom he married on June 16, 1946. They spent 52 years together before Ruth's passing in 1998. They have a daughter, Catherine, wife of James Bourn of Baldwinville, and a son, John Myntti Jr., who died in 1989.
Besides his daughter, Catherine, he leaves two sisters, Grace Landry, wife of Arthur of Gardner, and Edith Myntti Krone of New Hampshire and Earl R. Myntti of Gardner. He also leaves six grandchildren and seven great - grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Three siblings, Sylvia (Myntti) Vincent, Wilbert Myntti, and Julia Larson, predeceased him.
Military funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. in the John H. Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon St., Gardner. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Oct. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home with an Elks ritual to be held at 6 p.m. and a Masonic ritual to be held at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.

Harriett O. Hull
Member Of ‘The Musical Bargerons’
ORANGE - Harriett O. (Bargeron) Hull, 82, formerly of 419 East River St., died Friday morning, Oct. 8, 2004, at the Leo P. LaChance Center, Gardner, after a long illness.
A loved mother, grandmother, great - grandmother and sister, she was born in Montague, Oct. 26, 1921, and grew up in Erving, a daughter of Alphonse and Mina (Loveland) Bargeron.
She spent most of her adult life in Erving, working at the Erving Paper Mills and as a Postal Clerk at the Erving Post Office before moving to Orange in 1987.
A member of the Evangelical Congregational Church of Erving, she more recently became connected, through her son's membership and journey to faith, with the Orange United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and doing word puzzles. Her real joy in life was music, playing the trumpet as a child and as a member of the family orchestra, "The Musical Bargeron's," well known during the 1930s and 1940s.
In her later years, she became a proudly independent woman, asking little but giving much to her family and friends.
She leaves a son, Bruce Hull of Athol; three grandchildren, Chris Hull of Athol, Jeff Hull of Villa Park, Ill. and Courtney Beal of Germany; two great - grandchildren, Kyle Humphrey and Gracie Beal, both in Germany; a brother, Richard Bargeron and wife, Beverly of Orange; four sisters, June Venette of Orange, Marilyn Ori of Keene, N.H.; a niece, Renee Lake and husband, Jim of South Yarmouth, and several other nephews and nieces.
Her husband of 39 years, Norman Hull, died in 1985. She was also predeceased by a brother, Dorman Bargeron, and three sisters, Gladys Sulda, Phyllis Brown and Dawna Harris.
There will be a celebration of her life service Thursday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. in Orange United Methodist Church, 104 South Main St., Pastor Julia Daley will officiate. A gathering for family and friends will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
Private burial will be in Center Cemetery, Erving.

Rebecca M. Lozier
FITCHBURG - Rebecca May Lozier of 149 Pepper Rd., died Oct. 6, 2004, at UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, after a brief illness.
She was born on Oct. 4, 2004 in Worcester, the beloved infant daughter of David D. and Ann M. (Daigle) Lozier.
Besides her parents living in Fitchburg, she leaves behind a sister, Samantha Rose Lozier; her maternal grandmother, Bernice I. (Boudreau) Daigle of Leominster, wife of the late Robert R. Daigle; her uncle, Bryan R. Daigle of San Diego, Gardner following an illness.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. at the Erving Center Cemetery, Erving. There are no calling hours.
