Francis O’Donnell, 67
Francis M. O’Donnell, 67, of 18 Skyline Drive, Clinton, died
Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002 in HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 34 years, Susan (Johnson) O’Donnell;
two sons, Sean F. O’Donnell of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Patrick A.
O’Donnell of Solon, Indiana University in 1980. He was certified
by the Fort Smith Auction School in 1956 and founded James R.
Torteson and Company Auctioneers in Auburn in 1956.
He was a member of the Certified Auctioneers’ Institute and the
National Auctioneers’ Association.
He was secretary, newsletter editor, past president, and former member
of the board of directors for the N.Y.; five brothers, Angel Nieves Jr. of Millbury, Guines Nieves of California; a sister, Rosie Santiago of Fitchburg; four grandchildren;
nieces and nephews. He was born in Puerto Rico and lived in
Clinton most of his life. He graduated in 1968 from Clinton High
School, where he was an outstanding athlete. He served in the Navy.
Mr. Nieves worked for Connolly Construction Co. Inc., and previously
worked at R. Bates and Sons Inc.
The funeral will be held Thursday,
March 7, from the James E. Watson Funeral Home, 149 Water
St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John’s Church, 80 Union St. After
cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family. Donations

Florence A. Hennis, 79
Florence A. (Sanginario) Hennis, 79, of 40 Walnut St., Clinton,
formerly of 435 Wilson St., died Saturday, March 2, 2002 in Clinton Hospital
after an illness.
Her husband, Joseph A. Hennis, died in 1989. She leaves a son,
Joseph M. Hennis of Sterling; two daughters, Deborah A. Favreau of
Sterling and Patricia M. Houck of Clinton; a brother, Dr. Anthony
Sanginario of Clinton; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews. She was born in Clinton, daughter of
Pasquale and Raffaela (Lamberti) Sanginario, and attended Clinton
Schools. She was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mrs. Hennis was an assembler 15 years at the former Ray-O-Vac
Co. before retiring.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.
The funeral was held Tuesday, March 5, from Robert J.
McNally Funeral Home, with a Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary
Church. Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster. Donations

Bernadine A. Poulin, 98
Bernadine A. (Woodville) Poulin, 98, formerly of Clinton and
Berlin, died Saturday, March 2, 2002 in Keystone Center Nursing Home,
Leominster, after an illness.
Her husband, Maurice G. Poulin, died in 1990. She leaves
three stepsons, Maurice G. Poulin of Sterling, Donald J. Poulin of
Fitchburg and Leo Poulin of Leominster; two stepdaughters, Dorothy
Pray of West Virginia, and attended schools in New York, and later in the
Clinton-Lancaster area, for many years before retiring. She was a
member of St. Joseph’s Church in Berlin.
After cremation, burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Lancaster.

Albert C. Parker Jr., 78, of 7 Hawkins Lane, Sterling,
formerly of Clinton and Boylston, died Saturday, March 2, 2002 in UMass
Memorial Medical Center - Memorial Campus, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 57 years, Florence T. (Pierce) Parker; a
son, Donald P. Parker worked for the former A.C. Parker and Sons Inc., a
family-owned milk and dairy products business in Clinton, for many
years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Boylston Lodge of
Masons.
After cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family. In
