Alice E. Dupree Verrier
Alice E. (Roth) Dupree Verrier, 72, of Bolton, died Sunday,
March 3, 2002 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.
Her husband, Edward J. Verrier Sr., died in 1999. She leaves
two sons, Donald Dupree of Worcester and Kevin Dupree of
Springfield; four daughters, Ellen Amell of Maine, Carol Taylor of North Carolina. He also managed
Clinton Poor Farm from 1949 to 1951 and was an usher at the
Strand Theater. He was past president of the Clinton Republican
Town Committee and a member of Ray-O-Vac Golf League. He
was also a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Church and a
member of the Clinton Lodge of Elks. He served on the committee
for the Clinton Boy Scouts.
The funeral was held Saturday, Aug. 3, from Philbin -
Comeau Funeral Home, with a Mass in St. John the Evangelist
Church. Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster.

Rita H. Bowser, 72
Rita H. (Paulino) Bowser, 72, of 19 Milton Ave., Clinton, a
retired customer service representative, died Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at
her home, after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 48 years, Ellsworth “Al” Bowser;
a son, Russell J. Bowser of Methuen; a daughter, Marcia A.
Moran of Clinton; a brother, Carmine J. Paulino of Clinton; four
grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was born in Clinton, daughter of Joseph and Valentina
(Savi) Paulino. She graduated from Clinton High School in
1947.
Mrs. Bowser was a customer service representative at
Iandoli Supermarkets for 10 years, retiring in 1982. She previously
worked at ITT Suprenant Co. Mrs. Bowser was a member of St.
John the Evangelist Church. She enjoyed bingo, and belonged to
the Clinton Ladies’ Bowling League.
The funeral was held Friday, Aug. 2, from Robert J.
McNally Funeral Home, with a Mass in St. John the Evangelist
Church. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions

William B. O’Coin, 43
William B. O’Coin, 43, of Ellsworth, Bradford R. O’Coin of Maine Center for Cooperative Agriculture Research, Franklin.
The funeral service was held Saturday, Aug. 3, in Bragdon-
Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home.
Raymond J. Salmon, 79
Raymond J. Salmon, 79, of 21 North Walnut St., Clinton, formerly
of 48 West Berlin Road,
Bolton, a retired clerk magistrate and a veteran of World War II,
died Tuesday, July 30, 2002 in Clinton Hospital, after he was
stricken ill.
He leaves his wife of 35 years, Ellen H. (Morgan) Salmon;
a son, Raymond J. Salmon Jr. of Bolton; a brother, William P.
Salmon of Clinton; two sisters, Ann I. Rowe of Clinton and
Norma R. Zulack of Sarasota, Fla.; a granddaughter; nieces,
nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was born in Clinton,
son of John and Margaret (O’Malley) Salmon, and lived
many years in Bolton before returning to Clinton several years
ago. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1940, from St.
Michael’s College in Vermont and from Suffolk University Law
School. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Salmon was clerk magistrate of the Clinton District
Court for more than 25 years, retiring in 1998. He previously was an
administrative assistant to U.S. Rep. Philip J. Philbin for 22 years,
during which time he also maintained a private law practice. He
was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, the Ancient Order of
Hibernians, Clinton American Legion, Clinton Veterans of Foreign
Wars, Clinton Council Knights of Columbus, the Worcester County
Bar Association and the Clinton Bar Association. He was a member
and past president of the Clinton Exchange Club, and a member and
past exalted ruler of the Clinton Lodge of Elks.

Church. Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster. Memorial
