Mary A. Martel
FRAMINGHAM -- Mary Anne (Ceruti) Martel, 54, a lifelong resident of Framingham, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at the Tippett Home Hospice Care in Needham.
She was the wife of Raymond J. Martel Jr. of Framingham. The couple celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary in July.
Born in Framingham, Mrs. Martel was the daughter of Regina (Zonak) Ceruti of Framingham and the late Oreste Ceruti.
Mrs. Martel was a graduate of Framingham South High School, Class of 1967, and Kenneth's School of Cosmetology in Framingham.
She worked as a real estate agent and hairdresser in MetroWest for several years. Mrs. Martel loved to play bingo and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Natick.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Vicki Martel Eden of Framingham, and Amy Faletra and her husband, Chris, of Shrewsbury; three grandchildren, Michael Anthony Eden, Alyssa Jacquelyn Eden and Mary Ashleigh Faletra; one sister, Regina Ceccarini and her husband, Gerald, of Framingham; one brother, Joseph Ceruti of Framingham; and a close friend, Jean Gzikowski.
A funeral service was on Saturday, Aug. 14, from the Norton Funeral Home, Framingham, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Tarcisius Church, Framingham.
Burial followed in the family lot at St. Tarcisius Cemetery, Framingham.

Matthew P. Kelly
DETROIT, Mich. -- Matthew P. Kelly, 61, of Detroit, Mich., formerly of Marlborough, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, at home.
He was the husband of Barbara Kelly, who died four years ago.
Born in Troy, Kentucky Derby. He was a great lover of music and frequently attended area jazz festivals.
Mr. Kelly is survived by one son, Shawn P. Kelly of Millbury; three daughters, Christina L. Desplaines of Palmer, Michelle A. Kelly of Marlborough, and Shawna M. Fiore of Shrewsbury; one sister, Karen Junkett of New Jersey; a daughter-in-law, Antonia Jain of Lowell; three granddaughters, Shanti Jain, Jazmin Jain and Natasha Jain; two brothers in Bombay, India; a brother-in-law, Prabhakar Jain and his wife, Vijay, of Shrewsbury; and several nieces and nephews, among them Shivani Jain and Navim Jain of Shrewsbury.
Her funeral service was on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Linwood Cemetery Chapel in Haverhill.
Arrangements were under the direction of O'Donnell Funeral Home, 276 Pawtucket St. at Fletcher, Lowell.
Charles I. Zanelli
HUDSON - Charles I. Zanelli, 95, of Hudson, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham.
He was the husband of Clementina (Lalli) Zanelli, who died July 19, 1995.
Born in Hudson, he was the son of the late James and Josephine (Bonazzoli) Zanelli.
Mr. Zanelli was a custodian at the Linden and Packard Street Elementary schools for the Hudson Public Schools until he retired in 1978. He had worked at the Rotary Diner in Hudson for many years as a short order cook before working for the Hudson schools.
He was a former member of Christ the King Parish in Hudson and was a life member of the Hudson Lodge of Elks.
He leaves his daughter, Judith Ann Trottier and her husband, Brent, of Southborough; his grandchildren, Amy Buttiglieri and her husband, Steve, of Westborough and Jon Trottier and his wife, Jacqueline, of Shrewsbury; and his great-grandchildren, Cammie and Clara Buttiglieri and Nicholas Trottier.
He was the brother of the late Alfred Zanelli and nephew of the late Rose Richer, Virginia Bisset and Frank Bonazzoli.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of St. Patrick's Manor, 863 Central St., Framingham.
Burial was in St. Michael Cemetery, Hudson.
Arrangements were under the direction of Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., 50 Central St., Hudson.

Souren Jaffarian
ASHLAND - Souren “Jeff” Jaffarian, 74, of Ashland died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Souren K. Jaffarian and Victoria (Hoogasian) Jaffarian.
He was raised in Worcester, prior to moving to Ashland 38 years ago.
Mr. Jaffarian attended schools in Worcester, including Classical High School, Worcester Junior College and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, which he graduated with honors from in 1954 with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering. While at WPI, he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He also was a charter member of the Alden Society of WPI.
He worked for 15 years at the Johnson Steel and Wire Company as assistant engineering manager and later at the H.K. Porter Company in Holyoke as manager of engineering. He moved to Ashland in 1969 to work as division engineering manager at the Dennison Manufacturing Company. He retired in 1987.
Mr. Jaffarian was a lifelong member of the Armenian Holy Trinity Apostolic Church of Worcester. He was a member of several sports clubs, including the YMCA in Worcester and, for the past 36 years, the Boston Sports Club in Framingham. He was a member of the Calif., Christine Belliveau of Pauma Valley, California.
A small private family service is being held in St. Johnsbury, Vt.
Sean R. Nicholson
YUMA, Ariz. - Sean R. Nicholson, 29, of Yuma, Ariz., formerly of Shrewsbury, died Monday April 16, 2007.
Born in Natick, he was the son of James S. Nicholson of Eastham, and Bonnie J. Davis of Yuma, Ariz.
He attended Shrewsbury and Marlborough high schools and graduated in 1996. He had recently lived in the Foothills in Yuma, Ariz.
Mr. Nicholson attended church faithfully and most recently was a member of Mountain Bible Church in Payson, Ariz.
He had a passion for the game of chess and welcomed the opportunity to challenge anyone. Mr. Nicholson enjoyed sports, especially football and the Miami Dolphins. He had a love for animals, especially dogs and was a volunteer at the Humane Society in Payson, Ariz.
Besides his parents, he is survived by three brothers, James S. Nicholson, Jr. of Mystic, Conn., Richard M. Nicholson of Grafton and Jeffrey S. Nicholson of Eastham; his stepfather, Matthew L. Latino Jr. of Yuma, Ariz.; his stepmother, Cindy L. Nicholson of Eastham; his step-grandfather, James B. Jones of Framingham and two nephews, Colin Nicholson of Mystic, Conn., and Brady Nicholson of Grafton.
The funeral is on Friday, April 27 with a service at 10 a.m. in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Ave., Worcester.
Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
Calling hours are Thursday, April 26 from 5 until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
