Clara D'Alessandro
SARASOTA, Fla. - Clara (Buza) D'Alessandro, 89, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Hopedale, died Sunday, April 15, 2007, at Bay Village of Sarasota after a brief illness.
She was the wife of Frank D'Alessandro, who died in 2000.
Born in Melrose Park, Ill., daughter of the late Michael and Alexandra (Vasilevich) Buza, she was a graduate of Proviso High School in Maywood, Ill., and was employed at Hines VA Hospital in Maywood for 14 years.
Mrs. D'Alessandro was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, as well as a member of Hopedale Country Club for many years, Upton Woman's Club, Friends of Hopedale and Milford Emblem Club in earlier years.
She was an avid golfer and enjoyed needlepoint, rug hooking, knitting and crocheting, with some of her work having been prized and displayed at Hopedale Senior Center.
She leaves three sons and their wives, Gary and Karen D'Alessandro of Shrewsbury, Alan and Susan D'Alessandro of Bradenton, Fla., and Don D'Alessandro of Vero Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Nicholas D'Alessandro and his companion, Angela Regan, of Shutesbury, Julie D'Alessandro of Boston and Sean Mabe of Bradenton; a great-grandchild, Hannah D'Alessandro of Shutesbury; and several nieces and nephews in Massachusetts.
She was the sister of the late Zena Kreye Waldt of Sarasota, and Alfred and Walter Buza, both of Anchorage, Alaska.
The funeral was on Saturday, April 21, at 10 a.m., from Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress St., Milford, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, 187 Hopedale St., Hopedale.
Burial followed in Hopedale Village Cemetery, Mendon Street (Rte. 16), Hopedale.

A memorial service will be on May 26, at 2 p.m., at Bay Village of Sarasota for family and friends in Ohio, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Findley College in Findley, N.H., Patricia E. Potenza and her husband, Vincent, of Maynard, Christine P. Ward and her husband, Thomas, of Stillwater, Okla., and Melinda A. Ellis and her companion and special friend, Josh Bulpett, of Wakefield, New Hampshire, Nico Bulpett of Marlborough, Christina Potenza of Maynard, Andrea Potenza of Maynard, Cynthia Potenza of Australia, Ashley Ward, Stephanie Ward, and Nathaniel Ward, all of New Hampshire.
A private graveside service will be held at the Cullen family lot in Dell Park Cemetery in Natick at the convenience of her family.
Instead of flowers, her family suggests memorial gifts may be sent to the First Congregational Church Memorial Fund, 39 East Central St., Natick, MA 01760, or the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.

Katherine G. Little
MARLBOROUGH - Katherine Grace (Blair) Little, 89, of Marlborough, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Northborough.
She was the wife of Melvin “Chick” Little, who died in 1976.
Born in Vassalboro, Maine.
Mrs. Little had been employed by the Registry of Motor Vehicles in Marlborough as a clerk, and later as a cashier, retiring in 1983. She had previously been employed by the former Sam's Bakery, Marlborough.
As a devoted and longstanding member of the First United Methodist Church, Mrs. Little was a Sunday school teacher, serving on most parish committees. She contributed to her community by her many years of active participation with Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts, and the School Committee.
She leaves her sons, James M. Little and his wife, Patricia, of Carmen, Idaho, and Allyn F. Little and his wife, Diane, of Shrewsbury; her daughter, Linda Daley of Framingham; her sister, Virginia “Bunny” Murphy of Pepperell; her grandchildren, Kathy Little of Salmon, Idaho, Michael Little and his wife, Elizabeth, of Shrewsbury, Scott Little and his fiancee, Kerry, of Westfield, Tyna Walenski and her husband, John, of Ashland and Paul Daley of Ayer; her great-grandchildren, Paul, Daley, Harry Daley and Julia Daley, all of Shirley, and Cole Klatsky and Sydney Little of Shrewsbury; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 15 brothers and sisters.
The funeral service was on Monday, July 2, at 10 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church, 52 Church St., Marlborough.
Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.
Arrangements were under the direction of Slattery Funeral Home on Pleasant Street in Marlborough.

Henry C. Scott
WESTBOROUGH - Henry C. “Scotty” Scott, 77, of Westborough, died Friday, June 29, 2007, at the UMass. Memorial Healthcare, University Campus, in Worcester.
He was the husband of Mary L. (Hallice) Scott for 44 years.
Born in Charlestown, he was the son of the late Henry C. and Helen (Hayes) Scott, and had been a resident of Westborough for more than 40 years.
During the Korean War, he served with the U.S. Army. He was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, and a member of the John Boyle O'Reilly Council 85 Knights of Columbus.
His career included 23 years of service with the N.H.; a son, John R. Denning Jr. and his wife, Cecile, of Texas and Barbara LoConto of Worcester.
She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters, Madeleine Avedian, Raymond Kirwin, Rita Dunn, James Kirwin, Everett Kirwin and Beverly Kirwin.
A funeral Mass was on Saturday, April 14, at 10 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St. (Rte. 20), Northborough.
Burial followed in Howard Street Cemetery in Northborough.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. (Rte 20), Northborough.

Robert J. Cox
NATICK - Robert J. Cox, 78, of Natick, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.
He was the husband of the late Mary E. (Maguire) Cox.
Born and raised in Cambridge, he was a son of the late John and Lucy (Wise) Cox and had been a resident of Natick for the past 45 years.
Active in community affairs, Mr. Cox was a volunteer for the Katherine Kennedy Senior Center in Natick, the Natick Service Council, the Pine Street Inn and the Holy Fathers Retreat House in Easton. A former member of the Natick Lodge of Elks, he was named the Natick Service Council Volunteer of the Year in 1994.
A World War II veteran, Mr. Cox served in the U.S. Marine Corps from September 1946 until his honorable discharge in November 1947.
He leaves five children, Matthew S. Cox and his wife, Cindy, of Natick, Marcia A. Cox of Natick, Pamela Condlin of Natick, Colleen M. Cox of Natick and Michael P. Cox and his wife, Denise, of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren, Jessica and Daniel Condlin, Nicholas and Elizabeth Cox, Victoria Cox and Brittany Nation; his niece, Rosemary Galvin of Natick; and nephew, Paul Galvin of South Berwick, Maine.
He was the brother of the late Eleanor Galvin and the uncle of the late John Galvin.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, April 17, at 10 a.m., in St. Patrick's Church, Natick.
Private burial was at Glenwood Cemetery, South Natick.
Arrangements were under the direction of John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common.
