Jane Brunelle
NORTHBOROUGH - Jane (Ryan) Brunelle, 66, of Northborough and Bass River, formerly of Marlborough, died Thursday, March 22, 2007, at home.
She was the wife of Paul A. Brunelle for the last 46 years.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Arthur P. and Helen (Perry) Ryan, and was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School and Worcester State College.
Mrs. Brunelle was an elementary teacher in the Shrewsbury and Marlborough public schools.
Besides her husband, she leaves her son, Paul M. and his wife, Joanna, and their children, Nicholas, Samuel, Cammie, Marcus, Ava and Quinn of Hudson; her daughter, Lisa A. Carroll and her husband, James, and their children, Lindsay, Rebecca and James of North Grafton; her son, John D. and his wife, Mimi, and their children, Simon, Max and Liza-Jane of Shrewsbury; her brothers, David and Richard Ryan of Florida; two grandchildren, Cheryl Catalina of Shrewsbury and Keith Regan of Grafton; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be on Thursday, March 29, at 9 a.m., from the Callanan-Cronin Funeral Home, 34 Church St., Hopkinton, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Church, 20 Church St.
Burial will follow in the Clinton Street Cemetery in Hopkinton.

Eda Wells
NORTHBOROUGH - Eda M. (Mainini) Wells, 100, of Northborough, died Sunday, April 1, 2007, at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough after a brief illness.
She was the wife of William F. Wells, retired detective lieutenant of the Massachusetts.
She leaves a daughter, Patricia W. Doyle, and her husband, Francis ``Skip,'' of Northborough; three grandchildren, Edward ``Teddy'' Doyle and his wife, Rose, of Texas and in the invasion of Normandy, receiving the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Colleary Post VFW of Marlborough and Veterans of the USS Massachusetts.
Mr. Spratt served on the Marlborough City Council from 1986 to 1995 as councilor of Ward 2 and later, as councilor at large. For more than 50 years, he was known and loved as Mr. St. Patrick's Day in Marlborough, as he spent countless hours spreading Irish goodwill and humor, dressed in his Leprechaun green, visiting school classrooms, nursing homes, convents and shut-ins throughout the area.
He was a longtime member of the former St. Ann's Parish and the former Holy Name Society of the parish, and most recently was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish. An active member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and Knights of Columbus, for many years he was an active member of the holiday helpers of Marlborough, where he spent countless hours helping with the distribution of food and gifts to the less fortunate of the city.
Mr. Spratt was a dedicated health and fitness enthusiast, swimming and working out until his health forced him to stop. He loved travel and cruises, and had planned to take a cruise this month.
He leaves a son, Gerald F. Spratt Jr. of New Oxford, Pa.; two daughters, Mary Joan Auger of Marlborough and Annmarie Taft of Shrewsbury; his longtime devoted friends, Achilles and Betty Evangelous, with whom he lived and who cared for him for the past 18 months; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral with military honors was on Saturday, March 17, at 11:30 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough.
Burial followed in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of William R. Short and Son Funeral Home, 95 West Main St., Marlborough.

Michele D. Baldinger
MARLBOROUGH - Michele D. “Mema” (Bleau) Baldinger, 59, of Marlborough, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at home, surrounded by her family. She was diagnosed four years ago with ovarian cancer stage 4.
She was the wife of Jim W. Baldinger for 37 years.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Joseph C. and Doris M. (Trudell) Bleau and had lived in Marlborough for the past 33 years.
She was employed as a massage therapist and polarity therapist for eight years, enjoying having her business in her own home called “The Peaceful Healing Place,” while working at other spas and doing outcalls.
Mrs. Baldinger enjoyed spending time with her family most of all, including camping and the outdoors, traveling -- especially to Aruba. She loved training and spending time with her canine soulmate, an Australian shepherd named Dakota Red Sky.
She was involved in many community activities including the Richer Home and School Association, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and, for the past five years, she volunteered with the Pan Mass Challenge in Bourne. Her daughter, Kerry, rode the PMC, 192 miles, in honor of her mother, grandmother and sister-in-law, Cheri.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Keith R. Baldinger and his wife, Erin, of Shrewsbury; a daughter, Kerry A. Pottle and her husband, Robert, of Everett; two brothers, Clifford E. Bleau and his wife, Phyllis, of North Brookfield and Kenneth D. Bleau and his wife, Ellen, of Auburn; two granddaughters, Mackenzie Rose and Malorie Hope; and a spiritually adopted grandson, Jaalen Pottle, nephew of Bob Pottle, who lives with them.
A funeral service was on Wednesday, May 21, at 11 a.m., at the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough.
Cremation followed at Rural Crematory in Worcester, with burial at a later date at the Dunn Goodman
WELLESLEY - Barbara Dunn of Falmouth; 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces nephews and cousins.
She was the mother of the late John Peter Goodman.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, at 10 a.m., in St. Paul's Church, Wellesley.
Burial followed in St. Patrick Cemetery Natick.
Arrangements were under the direction of Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common, are Monday,from 3 to 8 p.m.

Matthew M. Alger
DOUGLAS - Matthew M. Alger, 22, of Douglas, formerly of Milford, died Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, following a car accident.
He was born in Woonsocket, R.I., son of Robert Alger of Douglas and Pamela (McCausland) Alger of Grafton, and lived most of his life in Milford.
Educated in Milford schools, he was employed as a laborer at Time Savers Construction Co. in Hopedale.
Besides his parents, he leaves his brother, Christopher Alger of Douglas; his maternal grandmother, Estelle (Poulin) Richards of Shrewsbury; his girlfriend, Theresa Fisher of Milford; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
The funeral was on Saturday, June 2, at 9 a.m., from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church on Winter Street.
Burial followed in Vernon Grove Cemetery on Depot Street.
