ORANGE - Marie B. (Hughes) Noonan, 81, of 407 South Main St., died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000 in the Athol Memorial Hospital after being stricken ill in her home.
Born in Vernon River, Prince Edward Island, Dec. 17, 1918, a daughter of John B. and Edith M. (Coady) Hughes, she grew up and attended schools in Athol. She lived in Athol, working at the L.S. Starrett Co. for 26 years until retiring in 1969 when she was married and moved to Orange.
A collector, she enjoyed tag sales, flea markets, collecting dolls and antiques. She was a member of St. Mary's Church. An avid walker she enjoyed flower gardening and working around her home.
Her husband of 24 years, Robert W. Noonan, died in 1993.
She leaves a step son, William F. Noonan and his wife, Patricia, of North Weymouth; two granddaughters, Meghan Noonan and Colleen Noonan, both of North Weymouth, and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 4 from Witty's Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church.
Burial will follow in South Cemetery.
There will be a calling hour Wednesday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m.

Rita C. Godish
Enjoyed Gardening
Rita C. (Bourret) Godish, 79, of 2082 Petersham Rd., died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, in the Quabbin Valley Healhcae.
She leaves her husband of 48 years, Frank A. Godish; a brother, Leo Bourret of Gardner on May 16, 1921, the daughter of Wilfred and Agnes (Charbonneau) Brourret and was a resident of Athol for 39 years. She grew up in Gardner High School. She married on June 28, 1952.
She was a communicant of St. Peter's Church in Petersham for many years and more recently a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church. She enjoyed oil painting, playing cards, flower gardening and loved traveling.
Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours.
Fiske Funeral Home is directing arrangements.
Arettia A. Fisher

Arettia Avonia Fisher, 81, of 821 Daniel Shays Hwy., a former resident of Leverett, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2000 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare.
She was born in Altoona, N.Y.; a sister, Margaret Reome of Morrisonville, Calif.; a step - son, Charlie Myers of Athol; his mother, Florence (Davis) Brushett of North Smithfield, R.I.; three brothers, David and his wife Lauren Brushett of South Barre; Timothy Brushett of North Smithfield, Andrew and his wife Maureen Brushett of Athol and several nieces and nephews.
He was born in Stephenville, Newfoundland, Canada on Aug. 28, 1955, the son of Florence (Davis) Brushett and the late Arthur M. Brushett Sr.
He attended schools in Blackstone. He was a resident of Athol for 10 years.
He worked as a truck driver at W. E. Aubuchon Co., Inc., in Westminster. He was a member of the Teamsters 170, of Worcester, the National Rifle Association and the Orange Gun Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 11 a.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

WARWICK - Funeral services for Anna (Deneve) Farley, 86, of 371 Wendell Rd., were held Friday, Sept. 29, 2000 in the Metcalf Memorial Chapel. Pastor Daniel Dibble officiated.
The pallbearers were Robert Farley, Steve Farley, Joseph Farley, Bryan Farley, Patricia Corocus and Robert Corocus.
Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.

ORANGE - A funeral Mass for Rita V. (Ciabiattari) Loveley, 71, of 55 Park Terrace East, N.H. - Hubert A. McIntire, 79, formerly of Sunrise Village, Winchester, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000 at the Cheshire Medical Center, Keene, Parker Ave., Northfield.
The Rev. Lloyd Parrill, pastor of the Trinitarian Congregational Church will officiate.
Burial will follow in Doane Cemetery in Hawley.
There will be a calling hour Monday, Oct. 2 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
Esther Winn; Choir, Woman's Club Member
Esther W. Winn, 93, a long time resident of Keene, N.H., died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000 at Concord Hospital.
She was born in Springfield, the daughter of Harold and Elizabeth Madrid.
She worked at Crystal Restaurant in Keene and Hotel Ellis in Keene, both for a number of years.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Keene where she was a member of the choir, the Keene Women's Club and various bridge clubs.
She is survived by a daughter and close friend, M. Elaine Winn and Dick Greenwood; two grandsons and their wives, John I. and Susanne Braddock and Daniel A. and Amy Landers; two great - grandchildren, Jamie and Justin Braddock and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, William I. Winn, who died in 1978; one daughter, Jeanine Wood who died in 1931; four brothers, George Madrid in 1998, Paul Madrid in 1968, Robert Madrid in 1960 and Harold Madrid in 1917.
A memorial service will be held at Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. in the United Church of Christ, 23 Central Square, Keene with the Rev. Robert Hamm officiating.
Burial will be in Monadnock View Cemetery, Keene.
