Winifred E. (Thibault) Wolschon, 71, of Blackstone
BLACKSTONE - Winifred E. (Thibault) Wolschon, 71, of Blackstone, died Saturday, April 12, in Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital, after a brief illness.
She was the wife of Paul E. Wolschon.
Mrs. Wolschon was born in Blackstone, daughter of the late William and Hazel (Cleversey) Thibault, and was a lifelong resident of Blackstone.
She was employed for many years for the Town of Blackstone, working as a secretary for the Board of Selectmen, later the Superintendent of Schools, and finally with the Community Development Office, retiring in 1985.
In addition to her husband, she leaves one son, John Wolschon of Woonsocket, R.I.; two daughters, Paula Patterson of Blackstone and Mary Beth Nolan of Danville, Vt.; three brothers, William Thibault of Blackstone, James Thibault of Glendale, R.I., and Joseph Thibault of Putnam, Conn.; three sisters, Helen Thibault, Catherine Lemay and Paula Byrne, all of Blackstone; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the James E. Kellett and Son Funeral Home, 38 Main St., Blackstone.
Calling hours are today from 5 to 8 p.m.
Graveside services will take place Wednesday, April 16, at 10:15 a.m., in St. Paul's Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. James Champion.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Gilbert R. Crochiere, 83, of Chicopee
CHICOPEE -- Gilbert R. Crochiere, 83, of Chicopee, died Sunday, July 13, 2003, at Holyoke Hospital.
He was the husband of Frances (Cardaropoli) Crochiere.
He was born in Holyoke, son of the late Amedee and Nora (Hamel) Crochiere. He graduated from Holyoke High School in 1938, and attended Bay Path College.
Mr. Crochiere was a communicant of St. Patrick Church, South Hadley.
Mr. Crochiere worked for the South Hadley school system for 20 years. He was on the South Hadley Auxiliary Police.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and held the rank of sergeant.
Besides his wife, he leaves one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Paul Lacroix of Milford; two grandchildren, Jason Lacroix and his wife, Kate, and Leanne Lacroix; and one great-grandchild, Allie Lacroix.
Burial was in Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Ryder Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley.

Rita M. Barbone, 76, of Framingham, formerly of Franklin
FRAMINGHAM -- Rita M. Barbone, 76, of Framingham, formerly of Franklin, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham following a long illness.
Born in Revere, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Giacinta (Fabiano) Barbone. She had lived in Franklin most of her life before moving to Framingham in 1996.
Educated in Revere schools, she was employed as a laundry worker for the Espenar Cleaners in Arlington for more than 20 years.
She leaves two brothers, Henry Barbone of China and Albert Barbone of N.H., and Henry Lessard of Bridgewater, N.H., Rita Scott of Florida, and Theresa Barry and Irene Bunnell, both of Claremont; two grandchildren, Bonny M. Grimes of Franklin and Debby A. Gibson of Medway; four great-grandchildren, Matthew P. Grimes of Franklin, Christopher J. and Krystal A. Kenny of Franklin, and James R. Gibson of Medway; a dear friend, Mary Todd of Milford; several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of Mary Alice Birmingham, who died in 1995, and sister of the late Robert, Maurice, Claire and Alice Lessard.
A funeral will take place Monday, Aug. 4, at 9 a.m., from Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress St., Milford, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, at 10 a.m., in St. Mary's Church, Winter Street, Milford.
Burial will follow in the parish cemetery on Cedar Street in Milford.
Calling hours are Sunday, Aug. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
