Palmira Desreuisseau, 80, of 91 Estabrook St., died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000 at Athol Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services for Jennie M. (Beyer) Lowell, 85, of 265 Brattle St., were held Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000 in the Higgins - O'Connor Funeral Home, with Rev. Freda Maier officiating.
Burial was in Silver Lake Cemetery. The bearers were Kevin Kaczmarczyk, James Lake, David Mallette, Lee Dunham and Calvin Taylor.
Douglas M. Britt, Vietnam Veteran
Douglas M. Britt, 58, of 114 Mountainview Rd., died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000 at the University of Maine with his wife and friends. He was a member of the L.S. Starrett 25 - year Club, and a former member of the Athol Lions Club for 10 years.
He leaves his wife of 33 years, Frances J. (Teel) Britt; two sisters, May L. Britt of Athol and Barbara R. Johnson of Orange; a nephew, John Superchi of Athol; a niece, Shana Superchi of New Bedford; and two special friends, Douglas and Kenneth Johnson, both of Athol.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 17 at 10 a.m. in the Athol Congregational Church with the Rev. Mary E. Giles, interim pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery and calling hours will be Wednesday, Aug. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Higgins - O'Connor Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Women's Fellowship "Stained Glass Window Fund," Athol Congregational Church, 1225 Chestnut St., Athol, Mass. 01331.
Douglas M. Britt
Douglas M. Britt, 58, of 114 Mountainview Rd., died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000 at the University of Gardner after a long illness.
She was born April 9, 1945 in Hanover, Sherman) young.
She went to grade school in Tunbridge, Vt. and attended South Royalston High School. She married Freeman E. Clark at the Tunbridge Congregational Church on April 25, 1964.
She worked for more than 20 years at Merrimaids in Randolph, Vt. She moved to Orange where she had lived for the past 11 years and worked for the State of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are at the Boardway & Cilley Funeral Home, Chelsea, Vt. Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. at the Tunbridge Congregational Church in Tunbridge with the Rev. Douglas Moore officiating.
Committal services will follow in the Spring Road Cemetery in Tunbridge.
Donald H. Sennott Sr.
LEOMINSTER - Donald H. Sennott, 82, of 87 Carriage Ct., a retired railroad conductor, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000 in the Highlands Nursing Home, Fitchburg, after an illness.
Among his survivors is a son, Donald H. Sennott Jr., of Athol.

ORANGE - A memorial service for Alice M. (Warner) Whitney, 82, of 33 Carpenter St., was celebrated Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000 in St. Mary's Church.
The Rev. Brian F. McGrath presided with the Rev. James F. Donelan and the Rev. Mr. Joseph Bucci, deacons, Theresa Bergquist, cantor, and Janet Paoletti, organist, of the Mass.

ORANGE - A memorial Mass for Alice M. (Warner) Whitney, 82, of 33 Carpenter St., will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000 in St. Mary's Church. A reception will follow in St. Mary's Parish Center.
Private burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Evans Dies, Elks Charter Member
Charles Walter "Sparky" Evans, 89 of Athol, died on Friday, June 9, 2000 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare after a long illness.
He leaves a daughter, Paula Lanni of Medford; a son, Robert Evans of Keene, Maine Central Institute for two years. At both schools he excelled in sports, playing baseball, football and basketball. He went on to attend Dartmouth College.
He worked in various textile plants in Maine before returning to Athol where he worked for the Athol Manufacturing Company for 32 years.
In 1969 he became an administrator at the Fleetwood Nursing Home, which is now Quabbin Valley Healthcare. He retired in 1979.
He enjoyed golfing and working at his son's antique shop in Winchester, N.H.
He was a Charter Member of the Athol - Orange Lodge of Elks No. 1837, and a past member of the Ellinwood Country Club where he held the title of "Chief Night Owl" in the Friday night Night Owl League.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 12, at 11 a.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home, with the Rev. Vance Frank officiating.
Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Monday, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.

Hazel M. McIntosh; Active Church Member
Hazel May (Rich) McIntosh, 96, of 118 Winter St., died Tuesday, June 13, 2000 at the Athol Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Athol on Sept. 18, 1903 the daughter of Jasper D. and Mary (Pike) Rich and has lived in Athol in the same house all of her life.
She graduated from Athol High School in 1923 and was the last remaining member of her class. She worked as a florist for many years at the former Lyman's Florist, Hamilton Florist and Kendrick Flower Shop. She also worked in the kitchen at the Athol Memorial Hospital for several years until her retirement.
She has been a member of the Athol Congregational Church for 84 years and actively attended church until March 12th. During her years she served as a Sunday school teacher, a deaconess and a Stephen Minister. She made many items for the church fairs and was a member of the mission study group and Christian service class. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Themis Chapter, worked on the blood mobile, enjoyed her many flower gardens, did knitting, handiwork and several oil paintings.
Her husband of over 50 years, Adelbert William McIntosh, died in 1984.
She leaves her son, William J. McIntosh, and a daughter, Marilyn L. Farnum, both of Athol. She was the beloved grandmother of Judith McIntosh, Dean Farnum, Sandra Knight, David Farnum and Janice Streeter; and great - grandmother of Anthony McIntosh, Jamie Farnum, Jason Farnum, Jennifer Farnum, Andrew Farnum, Michael Farnum, David Farnum, Stormi Hazel Knight, Elli March Knight, Katherine Streeter, William Streeter and Elizabeth Streeter; and great - great - grandmother of Brent Haskins, Abbigayle McIntosh and Bailey Streeter.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 16 at 10:30 a.m. in the Athol Congregational Church, with the Rev. Mary E. Giles, interim pastor, and Dr. Ann T. Searing, of Milton, officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Thursday, June 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Higgins - O'Connor Funeral Home.

Virginia R. (Moore) Greenwood, 82, formerly of Winchendon and Athol, died Thursday, June 1, 2000 in the Leo LaChance Center in Gardner, after a long illness.
She was born is Athol on Sept. 3, 1917, daughter of Raymond and Ruth (Trask) Moore.
