Westminster - Douglas Richard Connors, 53 of Westminster, lost his spirited fight against cancer and diabetes on August 11, 2007 at the UMass Hospital in Worcester. During his lifetime, Doug was happiest when spending time with his family and friends which makes it very difficult for his beautiful family who he has left behind.

GARDNER - Joseph Adolf Jandris, 89, of 35 Newton Street, died Friday, August 10, 2007 in the Baldwinville Nursing Home surrounded by his family. He was known as an entrepreneur, home builder, contractor, wine maker, and avid supporter of the municipal softball league.

Fitchburg - Rachel S. (Lajoie) Hawryla, 90, of 70 Whittemore St., Fitchburg, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007 in her home, after a long illness. Her husband of 32 years, Clement Hawryla, died in 1971. She leaves one son, Richard Hawryla, and his wife, Susan, of Huntington Beach, CA; two daughters, Donna Stokes of Cordova, TN.

WINCHENDON – Larry F. Hunt, 53, of 326 Maple Street, Winchendon, died Saturday morning, August 11th, 2007 in the UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester, from injuries suffered from an automobile accident.
Lucy H. 'Lu' (Hutchinson) Bartlett, 89, of Milford
MILFORD -- Lucy H. "Lu" (Hutchinson) Bartlett, 89, of Milford, died Friday, June 20, 2003, at the Continuing Care Center of Hopedale.
She was the wife of Kenneth H. Bartlett, who died in 1978.
Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Laurie and Elizabeth E. (Coady) Hutchinson.
She attended Milford public schools as a young girl and was a 1931 graduate of Milford High School. She later attended school in Boston.
As a young woman, she lived on Long Island, Carter Co. She retired in 1978 and returned to Milford in 1980.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and also a member of the Birmingham Court Association. She was a talented gardener, an avid reader, a crossword puzzle enthusiast, and a good friend to many who knew her. She was always willing to extend a helping hand to those in need.
She leaves several cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and very good friends, including her niece Lisa J. Recchia and her husband, Anthony; her grandnephews, Derryk Recchia and Justin Recchia; her grandniece, Olivia Recchia; and her nephew, Douglas Audette, all of Milford.
She was the sister of the late Henry Hutchinson, formerly of Hopkinton; Charles K. Hutchinson, formerly of Milford; James Hutchinson, formerly of Mendon; Arthur Hutchinson, formerly of Mendon; William Hutchinson, formerly of Mendon; Gertrude Sherblum, formerly of Providence, R.I.; and George P. Hutchinson, formerly of Mendon.
A funeral will be held Monday, June 23, at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress St., Milford. A Mass of Christian burial will follow, at 10 a.m., in St. Mary's Church, Winter Street, Milford.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Visiting hours are Monday, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home prior to the funeral Mass.
Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nursing Association of Greater Milford, 25 Birch St., Milford, MA 01757.
Tara Ann Black, 50, of Milford
MILFORD -- The funeral of Tara Ann Black took place Friday, July 25, 2003, from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Mary's Church, celebrated by the Rev. Dennis O'Malley, associate pastor.
Acolytes were Mary Louise Seaver and Virginia Lalime.
Organist was Sandra Valenti. Cantors were Chris Roy, Sandra Piwko and Judy Thomas.
The ceremonial placement of the funeral pall was done by her sister, Maureen Guido, and her brother-in-law, Robert Guido. A family crucifix was placed on her casket by her sister, Sheila Black.
Lectors were her dear friend, Joanne Briand, and her cousin, Peter Lynch.
Gift bearers were longtime family friends, Sally Ann Curley-Bowen and Martha Dailey.
The prayer of the faithful was led by Sister Theresa Lucier S.P., pastoral associate.
Words of love and remembrance were offered by her sister, Maureen Guido.
Burial followed in the parish Cemetery, where prayers at the grave were offered by the Rev. O'Malley.
Miss Black, 50, of Milford, died unexpectedly, Friday, July 18, 2003, at her residence.
Greta J. (Mund) Colpak, 89, of Milford
MILFORD - Greta J. (Mund) Colpak, 89, of Milford, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at her home after a brief illness.
She was the wife of Edwin Colpak, who died in 1987.
Born in Leipzig, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Margerat (Jansen) Mund. She and her family came to America when she was 14 years old, settling in Philadelphia. The family moved to Boston, where she attended school. She was a graduate of Bryant and Stratton Business School and The Wilfred Beauty Academy.
Mrs. Colpak was the former owner and operator of the Ruth and Greta Beauty Shop on Tremont Street, Boston. She also was employed as a ladies fashion model in Boston and Washington - A Celebration of the life of Mildred Sophie (Jacobson) Lehtinen, 97, of Bothell, Washington, formerly of Gardner, will be held on Saturday, October 13 at 11AM in Faith Lutheran Church, 627 Green St.
