Mary A. (Mongiat) Milani, 95, a lifelong resident of Milford
MILFORD -- Mary A. (Mongiat) Milani, 95, a lifelong resident of Milford, died Friday April 11, 2003 at the Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital.
She was the wife of Aldo J. Milani, who died in 1994.
Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Colanti) Mongiat. She attended Milford public schools as a young girl and graduated from Milford High School.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
She leaves one son, Donald D. Milani and his wife, Margaret T., with whom she resided; two daughters, Mrs. John (Alda M.) McCarthy of Shrewsbury, and Buzz M. Milani of Milford; one daughter-in-law, Miriam P. Milani of Blackstone; one brother, George Mongiat of Massachusetts Jaycees for 1978 to 1979. He was an amateur Ham Radio Operator, using call letters "N1AS," and held an F.C.C. First Class Radiotelephone license with radar endorsement and F.C.C. Extra Class Amateur Radio license. He taught amateur radio and electronics at Apponequet Regional High School and at local amateur
radio clubs. He was the former local Director of Emergency Communications for the American Red Cross, and was involved in several local radio and coins clubs.
In addition to his wife, survivors include; a son, Scott Lapan of Milford; two daughters, Janine Steinbrecher and Patricia Lapan, both of Milford, N.H.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 24 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 82 Exchange St., Millis.
Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Millis.
Visiting hours at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, 90 Curve St., Millis, are Monday, June 23, from 2 to 5 p.m.

Precindar Mendes
MILFORD -- Precindar (Rosa) Mendes, 69, of Milford, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, in the Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Mendes is the wife of Antonio Mendes of 44 years.
She was born in Peirezes, Portugal, daughter of the late Joaquim and Ana (Dos Santos) Rosa and moved to Milford in 1966.
She was employed many years ago for the former Milford shoe company and the former Draper Corp. as an assembler.
She was a member of the Saint Mary's of the Assumption Church.
Mrs. Mendes enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and the companionship of her husband, grandchildren, family and friends.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons Joseph Mendes of Tenn., and Anthony Mendes of Milford, five daughters, Maria A. DeMoura of Milford, Ana D. Melchiorri of Natick, Fatima G. Machoda of Modesto, Calif., two brothers Joao Rosa of Milford, and Manuel Dos Santos Rosa of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the Saint Mary's of the Assumption Church on Winter Street.
Burial will follow in the Saint Mary's Cemetery on Cedar Street.
Calling hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Brian L. Roberts, 39, of Pensacola, Fla., died Monday, June 16, 2003, in Pensacola Naval Hospital, Pensacola, Fla.
He was the husband of Pamela (Donnelle) Roberts.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, under the direction of the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford.
Mrs. Genevieve J. (Zawila) Rousak, 78, of Cape May Court House, N.J.,
CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, N.J. - Mrs. Genevieve J. (Zawila) Rousak, 78, of Cape May Court House, N.J., died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, in Milford.
She was the wife of Joseph Rousak, who died in 1985. They were married in 1949.
Born and raised in Camden, N.J., Mrs. Rousak moved to Delaware County, Pa., in 1953. She made her home in the Woodlyn section of Ridley Township, Pa. In 1988, she retired to Cape May Court House where she resided until her death.
A homemaker most of her life, Mrs. Rousak worked for Powell Electronics for 10 years. She was a former member of Our Lady of Peace Church in Milmont Park, and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Angels Church in Cape May Court House.
She leaves two daughters, Patricia DiCostanza of Milford and Joanne Rousak of Cape May Court House; two grandchildren, Carly and Adam DiCostanza; and one brother, John Zawila.
She was the sister of the late Henry Zawila, formerly of Calif., and Marie L. Haubrock of Shelbina, Mo.; one half sister, Virginia R. Smith of Ashland; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She is also the sister of the late Warren H. Briggs, who died in 1932, and grandmother of one late grandchild.
Graveside services will take place in the spring, at a time to be announced, in the North Purchase Cemetery, Purchase Street, Milford.
There are no calling hours.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St.
