Joseph P. Del Signore, 91, of Milford
MILFORD - Joseph P. Del Signore, 91, of Milford, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at the Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital after an illness.
He was the husband of 55 years to Speranza "Sperry" (Guidali) Del Signore.
Born in Milford, he was the son of the late Philip and Filomena (Ventresca) Del Signore. He attended Milford public schools.
He was employed as a construction supervisor by the David Massif Company of Boston from 1939 to 1942. Following his military tour of duty, he was employed by the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale until his retirement in 1976.
He served with the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II having attained the rank of technical sergeant. He supervised the construction of several bridges in Europe while serving for 13 months in France, Germany and Austria during the war.
He was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford and longtime member of the Italian-American Veterans Post of Milford.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Paul J. Del Signore of Milford and Anthony H. Del Signore of Milford; a brother, Michael Del Signore of Milford; two sisters, Mary Garberino of Massachusetts Medical Center.
Bessie "Tessie" (Karapoulous) Tomaso, 82, of Milford
MILFORD -- Bessie "Tessie" (Karapoulous) Tomaso, 82, of Milford, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, in Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation for Milford.
She was married for 66 years to Salvatore "Sam" Tomaso.
Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Vasil and Eftimia (Somoulous) Karapoulous.
She moved to Milford in 1937.
She was educated in the Marlborough schools and was an assembler for General Electric in Ashland until 1981. She worked as a part-time waitress at the Union House Restaurant in Framingham until 1995.
Besides her husband, she leaves her daughter, Patricia Simeone of Milford; grandsons, Mark Pironti of Los Angeles and Geoffrey Pironti of Milford; and great-grandson, Jeff Pironti of Grafton.
A funeral will be held Saturday, June 21, at 9 a.m., from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home (www.consigliruggeriofuneralhome.com), 46 Water St., Milford. A Mass will follow, at 10 a.m., at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St., Milford.
Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Medway Road in Milford.
Visiting hours are Friday, June 20, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Grace M. Tusino, 75, of Milford
MILFORD -- The funeral for Grace M. Tusino took place Saturday, July 26, from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church by the Rev. Richard Scioli C.S.S.
Sanctuary assistant was Michael Minichiello.
The pall was placed on the casket by Mary Arcudi, Connie DePaolo and Gene Caccavelli.
The lectors were Michelle Palmer and Joanne Ronan.
Gift bearers were Michael Tusino IV and Nicole Tusino.
The organist was Maryann SanClemente, and the cantor was Carla Al-Aghawani.
Burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery, where the Rev. Scioli offered prayers in the Bertoni Chapel.
Bearers were Dominic Caccavelli, William Collins, Robbie Tusino, Joseph Arcudi, Joseph Caccavelli and Robert Guerino.
Mrs. Tusino, 75, of Milford, died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, in the UMass. Medical Center in Worcester.
Carol (Back) White, 60, of Milford
MILFORD - The funeral service for Carol (Back) White took place Monday, Nov. 25, in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Paul G. Traverse, pastor of the Pine Street Baptist Church.
"Safe in the Arms of Jesus," "In the Garden," "Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art" were among the featured hymns which were dear to Mrs. White, and were offered by Henry Novak.
Scripture was offered from the Book of Psalms and Pastor Traverse offered reflections written by Mrs. White's sister, Phyllis Bibaud.
Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Cedar Street, where the Rev. Traverse offered committal prayers.
Mrs. White, 60, of Milford, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002, at home.
Ronald J. MacLean Sr., 57, of Millis, a former resident of Franklin and Bellingham
MILLIS - Ronald J. MacLean Sr., 57, of Millis, a former resident of Franklin and Bellingham, died Monday morning, Nov. 25, 2002, at Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital, following a long illness.
He was the former husband of Elaine Pedro of Franklin.
Funeral arrangements, under the direction of the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin, are incomplete.
Charles Petrone, 84, of Millis
MILLIS - Charles Petrone, 84, of Millis, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.
He was the husband of Catherine (Curiale) Petrone.
Born in Brooklyn, Arizona. He was a resident of Millis since 1998.
Mr. Petrone had been a postal carrier in Manhattan for over 25 years, retiring in 1980. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Norfolk and was a member of the Gidden Society.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Lawrence and his wife, Jean Petrone, of Medfield; and two grandchildren; one sister, Grace D'Amico of Pennsylvania.
A funeral service will be Monday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m., in the Ross Funeral Home, 135 South St., Wrentham.
Burial will follow in Lake Cemetery, Medfield.
Calling hours are Sunday, Sept. 29, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
Celeste Langone, 92, of South Boston
MILFORD - The funeral for Celeste Langone was held Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home. A concelebrated Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
The concelebrants were the Rev. Robert E. Langone, SA, the Rev. George Ribeiro, SA, and the Rev. James DiPerri, SA. The sanctuary assistants were Michael Minnichiello and Frank Freni. The lectors were Eric Langone and Br. Savio McNiece.
The organist was Virginia Montani and the cantor was Carla Al-Aghawani. Burial followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, the Rev. Langone offered prayers in the Bertoni Chapel.
Mrs. Langone, 92, of South Boston, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, in the Harbor Lights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boston.
