Rudiger Dornbusch, economist
CAMBRIDGE - Economist Rudiger Dornbusch, acclaimed for his research on the theory of exchange rates and international economic policy, died of cancer on Thursday at his home in Calif.; his daughters, Sharon and her husband, William Prachnick, of Berlin, and Susan and her husband, James Reagan, of Citrus Heights, Calif.; his brothers, Kenneth and his wife, Margaret Powers, of Eden, N.C., and James Robert and his wife, Donna Powers, of Auburn; his sister, Wanda Reid of Bellingham; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Church, Broad Street, Marlborough.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Beach Street, Marlborough.

William E. Reed, 65, of Berlin
BERLIN - William E. Reed, 65, of Berlin, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at his home after an illness.
He was the husband for 25 years of Colleen D. (Parslow) Reed.
Born in Flint, Mich., he was the son of the late Harry and Lois (McGrath) Reed and lived in Berlin for several years.
He was employed as a hard trim repairman at the former GM assembly plant in Framingham for 35 years until his retirement in 1985. He served with the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Benedict's Center, Still River; United Auto Workers Local 422, Framingham; 8 Point Sportsmen's Club, Sterling; and Alcoholics Anonymous. He enjoyed computers, photography and was also an avid traveler.
Besides his wife, he leaves four sons, William E. Reed Jr. and Joseph B. Reed, both of Blackstone, David Reed of Franklin and Harry Reed of Kansas; daughter, Debra Crowell of Pawtucket, R.I.; sister, Grace Cupita of Linden, Mich.; five grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand- nephews.
A funeral will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23, from the Robert J. McNally Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, with a Traditional Tridentine Latin Mass, at 11 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton.
Burial will be in North Cemetery, Berlin.
Calling hours will be today, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
