Paul J. Keenan, 73, of Northborough
NORTHBOROUGH - Paul J. Keenan, 73, of Northborough, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, in Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston after suffering a brain hemorrhage.
Born in Chelsea, son of William F. and Mary (Rourke) Keenan, he lived in Northborough since 1964. He graduated from Chelsea High School in 1947, and Bentley College in 1951.
Mr. Keenan was employed as a sales representative for Benjamin Moore Co. in Worcester County for 25 years, retiring in 1991.
Mr. Keenan was a U.S. Army veteran, and a lifelong Red Sox fan.
A funeral service will take place Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough.
Burial will follow in Howard Street Cemetery.
Calling hours are Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home.
Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dana-Farber's Jimmy Fund Tribute Program, 1 Harvard St., Brookline, MA 02146-9795.

Sgt. Major Alex Lattimore Jr., Ret., 73, of Northborough
NORTHBOROUGH -- Sgt. Major Alex Lattimore Jr., Ret., 73, of Northborough, formerly of Framingham, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at UMass Memorial Healthcare, University Campus, after complications during heart surgery.
He was the husband of June G. (Lightner) Lattimore for 44 years.
Born in Union Spring, Ala., he was the son of the late Alex and Nellie (Ray) Lattimore Sr. He lived in Northborough for the past 30 years.
He was a career serviceman with the U.S. Army, serving for 30 years. He retired in 1985. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He most recent duty station was at Devens, where he continued to work for the civil service in the intelligence school after his retirement. He graduated from the University of New York City, and Estelle Perry and Daisy Power and her husband, Joe, of N.H.; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral will be held Friday, Feb. 14, at 11 a.m., at Hays Funeral Home (www.haysfuneralhome.com), 56 Main St., Northborough.
Burial will follow in Howard Street Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, Feb. 13, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

M. Gail MacKay, 63, of Northborough
NORTHBOROUGH - M. Gail MacKay, 63, of Northborough, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, in MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, after a long illness.
Funeral arrangements, which are under the direction of Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., are incomplete.

Edwin M. Pelkey, 79, of Northborough
NORTHBOROUGH -- Edwin M. Pelkey, 79, of Northborough, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, at UMass Memorial Health Care at Marlborough Hospital.
He was the husband of 57 years to Eleanore "Skip" Pelkey.
Born and raised in Rochester, N.H.; a daughter, Kathleen Lovell and her husband, Anthony, of Longmeadow; six grandchildren, Alyssa Lovell of Leverett, Andrew Lovell of Girdwood, Ark., Kimberly Pelkey of Pennington, and Kaylee, Myles and Emily Pelkey of Amherst; his brothers, James and Walter Pelkey; and a sister, Mitzi Villa of Rochester.
He was the brother of the late Robert Pelkey and Dorothy Grosshans of Rochester.
A private memorial service will be held for the immediate family.
Friends and neighbors are invited to a reception that will be held Saturday, Nov. 16, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Pelkey home.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough.
Memorial donations may be made to UMass Memorial Foundation, Cardiac Cath Lab Campaign, 15 Belmont St., #1 Lincoln Square, Worcester, MA 01605-2612.

Daryl F. Rider, 28, of Northborough
NORTHBOROUGH -- Daryl F. Rider, 28, of Northborough, formerly of Oxford and Worcester, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, at home with his family after a long-term mental illness.
Born in Philadelphia, he leaves his mother, Ginger (Maloney) Rider White and his stepfather, Charles A. White of Northborough, and his father, Stephen Rider and Terry Heatlie of Palm Springs, Calif., and Joshua White of Westborough; two sisters, Heather Westbrook of Cumberland, R.I., and Gwen Ellen Rider of Worcester; his maternal grandfather, Francis J. Maloney of Northborough; his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Eleanor Jenkins of Charlestown, Md.; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 9, at 10 a.m., in Hays Funeral Home (www.haysfuneralhome.com), 56 Main St., Northborough.
Burial will follow in Howard Street Cemetery.
Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 8, from 5 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home.

Marilyn Shanahan
NORTHBOROUGH - Marilyn (Jarvis) Shanahan, 71, of Northborough, died June 1, 2002, at Worcester Medical Center after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Paul A. Shanahan Sr. who died in 1997.
Born in Dorchester, she was the daughter of the late C. Edward and Margaret Mildred (Donovan) Jarvis.
She was a graduate of St. Rose High School in Chelsea, Class of 1948, and a graduate of Emmanuel College in Boston, Class of 1952. She later earned her master's degree in education from Worcester State College in 1970. She taught school in Malden, Utica, Massachusetts Teacher's Association and St. Bernadette's Church in Northborough.
She leaves three sons, Thomas Shanahan of Rutland, Vt., Paul A. Shanahan Jr. of Northborough and Daniel Shanahan and his wife, Joan, of Boylston; two daughters, Kathleen Lowe and her husband, Tom, of Northborough, and Mary Shanahan of Gardner; three brothers, William O'Donnell of Revere, Edward Jarvis of West Newbury and Raymond Jarvis of Rye, N.H.; a sister, Lorraine Dewar of West Newbury; her grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, June 4, at 10 a.m. at St. Bernadette's Church, Main Street, Northborough.
Burial will follow at the Howard Street Cemetery in Northborough.
Calling hours will be Monday, June 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Leland Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough.
Memorial donations in her memory may be sent to St. Rose School, 601 Broadway, Chelsea, MA 02150.
