Brian L. Roberts, 39, of Pensacola, Fla., and formerly of Douglas and Whitinsvillent
PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Brian L. Roberts, 39, of Pensacola, Fla., and formerly of Douglas and Whitinsville, died Monday, June 16, 2003, in the Naval Hospital in Pensacola.
He was the husband of Pamela E. (Donnell) Roberts.
Mr. Roberts was born in Newport, Vt., the son of Maurice A. and Cynthia A. (Wilcox) Roberts of Milford, and was a resident of Florida, Mr. Roberts and his brother owned and operated Roberts Construction Co. for 10 years, and was an accomplished quality framer.
He had a passion for fishing and enjoyed hunting and motorcycles. Mr. Roberts enjoyed spending time with his family and was a longtime member of the True Light Christian Church of Milford.
Mr. and Mrs. Roberts observed their 17th wedding anniversary Feb. 8.
Besides his wife and parents, he leaves three sons, Corey Roberts, Jeramie Roberts and Joshua Roberts of Pensacola; a daughter, Sara Roberts of Pensacola; his maternal grandmother, Margaret (Flanders) Wilcox of Jenson Beach, Fla.; a brother, Keith A. and his wife, Victoria L. Roberts, of Woonsocket, R.I.; three sisters, Joanne L. and her husband, Patrick J. Shanley, of Milford, Judy A. and her husband, Barney Lorence, of Jenson Beach, Fla., and Jennifer S. Roberts of Milford; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Monday, June 23, at 11 a.m., in the True Light Christian Church of Milford, 55 Exchange St., Milford, officiated by the Rev. Ernest S. White.
Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Cedar Street, Rte. 85, Milford.
Calling hours are Sunday June 22, from 4 to 7 p.m., in Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford.
Albert A. Nigro, 87
FRANKLIN - Albert A. Nigro, 87, of Franklin, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at the Worcester Medical Center, following a brief illness.
He was the husband of Theresa R. (Tavalone) Nigro, who died in 1996.
Born in Milford, a son of the late Fedale and Annina (Dieso) Nigro, he lived in Franklin for more than 62 years. He was educated in Milford public schools.
He retired as a dock supervisor for the former Kendall Mills Co. in Walpole, where he worked for more than 35 years.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. Stationed in Cuba, he was assigned to the USS Texas; three grandchildren, Jason and Daniel Rouleau of Mendon and Jesse Barry of Northbridge.
Funeral arrangements are private and at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.

Linda A. (Vasile) Menard, 53
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Linda A. (Vasile) Menard, 53, formerly of Uxbridge, died at her home in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002.
She was the daughter of the late Dominic Vasile, formerly of Milford and Uxbridge, and Justine (Donatelli) Vasile Wolf, formerly of Uxbridge, and now residing in Sedona, Ariz. She was a 1967 graduate of Uxbridge High School.
She was employed as a dining room manager at the Carefree Conference Resort in Carefree, Ariz.
Survivors include her mother; her daughter, Marisa Menard of Scottsdale; her aunts, Rose (Vasile) Lazzerini of Milford and Nena (Donatelli) Bisbee of Whitinsville; her uncles, Adrian Donatelli of Uxbridge and Anthony Donatelli of Mendon; as well as numerous cousins.
Following services in Phoenix and a celebration of life Mass at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Sedona, she was laid to rest next to her father in Sedona Community Cemetery in Sedona.

Linda J. (Thibodeau) Mclean, 51
MILFORD -- Linda J. (Thibodeau) Mclean, 51, died Saturday, June 14, at Milford Whitinsville-Regional Hospital after an illness.
Born in August 28, 1951 in Milford, she was the daughter Delphis Thibodeau of Douglas and Ora (Prouix) Thibodeau of Uxbridge.
She lived most of her life in Douglas, before moving to Milford five years ago.
She worked for Market Intelligence in Milford, a division of Fidelity Investments. She previously worked for United Parcel Service for many years. She enjoyed working with computers
In addition to her parents, she leaves two sons, Timothy Mclean and Richard L. Mclean of Harwich., a brother, Richard Thibodeau of Woonsocket, R.I., a sister, Debra A. O'Connell of Gibsonville, N.C., a grandson Nikolas Mclean, nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Richard A. Mclean, who died in 1973, and Angela Mclean, who died in 1977.
A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 19, in the Buma Funeral Home, 101 Main St., Uxbridge. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday before the service.

Edward J. Maillet, 81
ATHOL - Edward J. Maillet, 81, of Athol, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at the Quabbin Valley Healthcare Center, following a long illness.
He was the husband of Anna (Womboldt) Maillet, who died in 1999, and Marion L. (Taylor) Maillet, who died in 1977.
Born in Newton, a son of the late Nicholas and Celina (Robichaud) Maillet, he lived in Waltham for most of his life before moving to Athol in 1989. He was educated in Newton schools.
Until his retirement in 1976, he worked as a machinist for the Nichols Co. in Waltham.
He leaves a sister, Rita Clos of Carver; and several greater Franklin nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Ernest Maillet, Joseph Maillet, Albert Maillet, Arthur Maillet, Rose Maillet, Eleanor Sampson, Beatrice Mogk, Marie Klein, Anna Pinkos and Dora Gallo.
The funeral will take place Friday, April 11, at 11 a.m. in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.

Norman I. Rogers
MENDON -- Norman I. Rogers, 92, of Mendon died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, in the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Northbridge.
He was the husband of Dorothy E. (Brown) Rogers, who died in 2002.
Mr. Rogers was born on the family farm, built in 1750, known as Ashway Farm on Thornton Street in Mendon, the son of the late Bernard N. and Lottie A. (Macuen) Rogers. He was a 1931 graduate of Mendon High School, and a 1938 graduate of Wentworth Institute in Boston.
Mr. Rogers was a farmer, machinist and building contractor and owned the Norman I. Rogers Co. of Mendon for 24 years, retiring in 1978. In his retirement, he continued to work with his son and grandson in the business, Norman I. Rogers Industries Inc. of Mendon. He was previously employed at the former Draper Corp. in Hopedale, the former Whitins Machine Works in Whitinsville, the former U.S. Steel Co. in Worcester, Harvard University and the Wyman Gordon Co. in Grafton.
He was a longtime member and deacon of the Mendon Baptist Church and member of the Mendon Planning Board for 25 years. He was chosen Senior Citizen of the Year in 1995 for the town of Mendon. Mr. Rogers recited the "Gettysburg Address" at the Memorial Day Ceremonies in Mendon, first in 1931 and for many years thereafter. He enjoyed writing poetry and published three books of poetry and was working on his fourth book. He had published works in the International Poetry Hall of Fame in N.H.; one son-in-law, Kent Monroe of Richmond, Va; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the father of the late Norma R. Monroe, and brother of the late Bernard A. Rogers, Harold Rogers, Raymond Rogers, Leonard Rogers, Roland Rogers and Olive S. Demarini.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, at 1 p.m. at the Buma Sargeant Funeral Home (www.bumafuneralhome.com), 42 Congress St., Milford.
Burial will follow in Swan Dale Cemetery, Hartford Avenue, Mendon.
Calling hours will be Friday, Oct. 13, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
