John E. Derocher Jr., 55, formerly of Hopkinton
ORLEANS - John E. " Jack " Derocher Jr., 55, of Orleans, formerly of Hopkinton, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001, at the Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
Born in Brockton, he was the son of John Derocher Sr., and the late Antoinette (Petronelli) Derocher.
He was a professor of psychology at Quincy College and Mass Bay Community College. He was a member of the National Guard, Yankee Division. He enjoyed hunting, fishing in N.H., Karen Garbarino of Hopkinton, Debra Schmitz of Stonington, Conn., and Kelly Irvine of Bellingham; a son, Albert L. " Skip " Irvine of Charlotte, N.C.; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Norma M. Lamore.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, Feb. 3, at 10 a.m., at St. John’s Church of Hopkinton.
Burial was at the Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough.

Alice M. Coakley, 96, of Wellesley
WELLESLEY - Alice May (McSweeney) Coakley, 96, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham, where she was a resident for the past nine years.
She was the wife of Timothy W. Coakley, who died in 1989.
Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice (Dunphy) McSweeney. Mrs. Coakley previously was a longtime resident of Wellesley, Buzzards Bay and Vero Beach, Fla.
She leaves a daughter, Patricia B. Coakley of Franklin; a sister, Margaret Kenny of North Andover; four grandchildren, Alice M. Hale of Calif.; and many sons-in-law, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Feb. 22, at First Baptist Church in Bellingham at 11 a.m., followed immediately by a reception.

Charles F. Brown, 90, of Westborough
Lifelong Westborough resident
Charles F. Brown, 90, of Westborough, died Monday, Feb. 12, at the Jewish Health Care Center in Worcester after a short illness.
He was the husband of the late Cecile E. (Mailloux) Brown for 55 years.
Born in Westborough, he was the son of the late William J. and Annie E. (Fitzpatrick) Brown.
He was a lifelong Westborough resident and was a graduate of Westborough High School and the Worcester Boys Trade School for Plumbing.
He was a licensed plumber and worked at the former Whitin Machine Works in Whitinsville for 35 years until his retirement in 1974. He was a member of the Church of St. Luke the Evangelist, and the oldest member of the John Boyle O’Reilly Knights of Columbus in Westborough.
He leaves two daughters, Kathleen L. Smith of Shrewsbury and Mary Gonzalez of New Albany, Ind.; three sons, Francis C. Brown of East Dennis, Robert O. Brown of Alexander, N.H., and Ann Van Houten and Louise V. Brown, both of Westborough; two brothers, William E. Brown of Westborough and Richard E. Brown of Upton; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Walter F. Brown, T. Leo Brown, Margaret Belli, Mary Ustoitis; and was the grandfather of two late grandchildren.
His funeral will be held today, Friday, Feb. 16, from the Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m., at the Church of St. Luke the Evangelist, 70 West Main St., Westborough.
Burial will be at St. Luke’s Cemetery.
Calling hours were held yesterday, Thursday, Feb. 15, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. The Knights of Columbus held a ritual yesterday, Thursday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Edgar R. Buron, 78, of Framingham
FRAMINGHAM - Edgar R. Buron, 78, of Framingham, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at his home after a long illness.
He was the husband of Violet L. (Cleveland) Buron.
Born in Fall River, he had been a Framingham resident for more than 50 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.
He was employed for more than 40 years at Cushing Hospital in Framingham in patient care, and he also operated the canteen for many years.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Beatrice L. Ortiz of Framingham; a sister, Juliette Rousseau of Fall River; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial are private.
There are no visiting hours.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham.
Maureen S. Keyser, 40, of Marlborough
MARLBOROUGH - Maureen S. Keyser, 40, of Marlborough, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at the UMass Memorial Healthcare-Marlborough Hospital after being stricken ill at home.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Charles E. and Doris P. (LaBrache) Keyser.
She attended Marlborough schools and was employed as a manager for more than eight years at the Qualex Company of Marlborough and at Raytheon of Marlborough. She enjoyed reading and motorcycle riding.
Besides her parents, she leaves several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, at 8 a.m., from the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough, with a Mass at 9 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough.
Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough.
Visiting hours will be Friday, Feb. 16, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
