Merdith W. Adams, 91, of Westborough
U.S. Army veteran; dedicated musician
Merdith W. Adams, 91, of Westborough, formerly of Brookline, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at the UMass Memorial Healthcare-Memorial Campus, Worcester.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late William J. and Rose B. (Levitt) McAdams.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II, and the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean War. He studied music in England under the G.I. Bill.
He was educated in Boston schools, and was employed as a banker with the State Street Bank in Boston for many years before his retirement.
He was a member of the West Roxbury-Dorchester Masonic Lodge A.F. and A.M. in Boston. He enjoyed composing music and was a dedicated musician.
He leaves eight cousins, Rita Breault, Karen Langevin, Steven Bouthout, Susan Samson, Dexter Breault, Thomas Breault, Jean Comptois, Anita Merrill; and a close friend, Lillian Grove of Westborough.
The Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, handled the arrangements.
Burial will be in the spring at the Demerritt Cemetery in West Peru, Washington St., Dedham, MA 02026.

Sally K. Clewes, 88, of Sherborn
SHERBORN - Sally K. (King) Clewes, 88, of Sherborn, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at the MetroWest Medical Center in Natick.
She was the wife of Joseph S. Clewes, who died in 1982.
Born in Enfield, Conn., and a resident of Sherborn for 55 years, she was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Edith (Sellew) King.
Mrs. Clewes was a former nurse at the Deaconess Hospital in Boston, and Framingham Union Hospital in Framingham. She was a graduate of Dean Academy in Franklin and the Deaconess School of Nursing. She was a member of the Pilgrim Church of Sherborn, the Sherborn Senior Citizens Association, and attended the Social Daycare at Bethany in Framingham.
Mrs. Clewes was an avid reader, enjoyed music, and had a great love of animals.
She leaves one daughter, Nancy Hess and her husband, Frank, of Sherborn; one son, R. William (Bill) Clewes and his wife, Sue (Montalbano), of Southborough; six grandchildren, Linda Kenyon and her husband, Glen, Sharon and Ann Marie Clewes, Heidi and Mark Hess, and Wendy Welch and her husband, David; and three great-grandchildren, Heather and Peter Kenyon and Amanda Clewes.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 4, at 2 p.m., at the Pilgrim Church, 25 South Main St., Sherborn.
Memorial donations may be made to the New England Deaconess Alumni Association, 185 Pilgrim St., Boston, MA 02215, or to St. Theresa Church, 35 South Main St., Sherborn, MA 01770, or to the Pilgrim Church Endowment Fund, 25 South Main St., Sherborn, MA 01770.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common.

Elsa G. Faber, 91, formerly of Southborough
FRAMINGHAM - Elsa G. Faber, 91, of Framingham, formerly of Hanson, New Port Richey, Fla., and Southborough, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham after a brief illness.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Fannie (Baker) Faber.
She was raised in Southborough and was a graduate of Southborough’s former high school.
She was an original member of the Framingham Heart Study. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for many years as a clerk with the IRS in their Framingham, Boston and Worcester offices.
She leaves a niece, Ginny Gustafson and her husband, John, of Framingham; two nephews, Richard Faber of Boston and Rock Faber of Calif.; two sons, Paul F. Marandett and his wife, Nancy C., of Dover, and Mark J. Marandett and his wife, Beverly J., of Derry, Massachusetts.
Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Sharon Mueller of Hudson and Judith Robinchaud of Cherry Valley; a son, Richard Brown, Newport News, Va.; a brother, Everette Eaton of Marion; and a granddaughter, Jenn Frieswick of Hudson.
A memorial service and burial will be private.
There will be no visiting hours.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Palm Bay Funeral Home, Palm Bay, Fla.

Vascen Bogigian, 85, of Milford
MILFORD - Vascen Bogigian, 85, of Milford, formerly of Bellingham, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at the Milford Geriatric Authority, after an illness.
He was the husband of Enice O. (Mongiat) Bogigian for 61 years.
Born in Franklin, he was the son of the late Bagdasar and Yagnar (Agvesian) Bogigian.
He was a graduate of Franklin High School, Class of 1940. He was a Milford resident for 18 years, and a Bellingham resident for 32 years.
He was employed by the Clark, Cutler and McDermott Company of Franklin, the Whiting Davis Company in Plainville, and the J.J. Newbury Company in Franklin. He retired in 1979 from the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale, where he was employed for 30 years.
He was a member of the Milford Council on Aging and a longtime communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. He was a member of the Brothers of the Brush in Bellingham.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Vascen J. Bogigian of Hopkinton and John A. Bogigian of Holliston; three grandchildren, John A. Bogigian II of Cummings, Ga., Jodi Furlong of Hopkinton, and Justin M. Bogigian of Holliston; a great-granddaughter, Jordan E. Bogigian; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Robert Paul Bogigian.
A funeral was held Thursday, Feb. 22, from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress St., Milford, followed by a funeral Mass at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St., Milford.
Burial followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Holliston.
Donations can be made to the Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital Building Fund, c/o the Development Office, 14 Prospect St., Milford, MA 01757.
