WORCESTER - Richard L. Wilkesman, 44, died Saturday, April 19th in Lawrence General Hospital after a sudden illness. He leaves his father, Charles R. Wilkesman and his mother, Marilyn (Germano) Wilkesman of Worcester; 2 daughters, Samantha Wilkesman of Holyoke, Nicole Walker Wilkesman of Sterling; 2 brothers, Gary husband of Cindy Germano of Fitchburg, Dana Wilkesman of Lubec, ME; 4 sisters, Marilyn wife of Michael Paquette of Lubec, ME., Charlotte Wilkesman, Kari Lyn Wilkesman, and Shelly Wilkesman all of Worcester; 2 grandchildren, Marc Nieves and Krystal Nieves both of Holyoke; 4 aunts, Sandra wife of Noel Fongeallaz of Brookfield, Dorothy wife of Stanley Burlingame of Charlton, Janet wife of Edward Goff of Spencer, Cheryl Rankin of Holland; an uncle, Albert husband of Linda Germano of Fitchburg, 5 nieces, 7 nephews, several cousins and friends. 2 brothers, Randy and Albert Wilkesman predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester and lived here for most of his life. He served in the Army National Guard. He was once a boxer at the Boy’s Club in Worcester and was an avid fisherman with the Central Mass Small Mouth Club in Worcester.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, April 23rd at 11:00 AM in Hope Cemetery. There are no calling hours. O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.

WORCESTER - Brian P. Carey, 18 of 46 Ledgecrest Drive, died Wednesday, April 23rd in Barnstable. He leaves his parents William P. and Sherrie L. (Korenblum), his paternal grandmother Florence (Soucy) Carey of Marlboro, and his maternal grandparents Arnold and Esther (Perolman) Korenblum of Worcester, many uncles and aunts he was extremely close to and many cousins.
He was born in Framingham and lived in Worcester for many years. Mr. Carey was a graduate of Our Lady of the Angels School and currently was a student at Holy Name High School he was due to graduate in 3 weeks. Mr. Carey was to attend Western New England College as a criminal justice major. He had been working as a dietary aide at the Auburn Life Care Center of Auburn for the past year and also served as a volunteer for the past 2 and half years there. Mr. Carey had once worked at Wendy’s in Auburn. He was an avid guitarist and performed in a local band called “Human Error”.
The funeral will be Saturday, April 26th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, April 25th from 3:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or contributions made to the Auburn Life Care Center of Auburn, Resident Activities Fund, 14 Masonic Circle, Auburn, MA 01501.

WORCESTER-Charles H. Farnum, 85, of 4 Cabot Street died August 4th in University of Maine with his sister.
Funeral services and burial are private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greater Worcester Community Foundation, Inc., 44 Front Street, Worcester, Massachusetts Department of Revenue for 15 years retiring in 1999. She was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, the Mother’s Club of Belmont Street School, a founding member of the Mother of Twins Club and a founding member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved the ocean and traveling.
The funeral will be Wednesday, April 30th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue (oconnorbrothers.com) with a mass at 10:00 AM in St. Bernard’s Church, 228 Lincoln Street. CHARLOTTE, Massachusetts at Amherst. Mr. Sisko was a process manager at the Charlotte Distribution Center of the T.J. Maxx Companies.
Cremation took place in Charlotte. Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 29th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue (oconnorbrothers.com), Worcester with a service to take place at 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be Wednesday, April 30th in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester following his mother’s funeral.

LAKE ZURICH, IL-Hazel F. (Foley) McCann, 88 formerly of Worcester and Falmouth died Wednesday, April 23rd in Lexington Healthcare Center. Her husband William J. McCann, Sr. died in 1987. She leaves a son, Thomas A. McCann of Barrington, IL; a daughter, Mary C. Carnevale of Alexandria, VA; 8 grandchildren; a great grandson; several nephews and nieces. Her son, William J. McCann, Jr. died in 1993.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Andrew H. and Amelia E. (Hornig) Foley. Mrs. McCann graduated nursing school from Memorial Hospital where she practiced as a registered nurse during WWII.
The funeral will be Thursday, May 1st from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a mass at 10:00 AM in the Cathedral of St. Paul, 15 Chatham St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Wednesday, April 30th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. WORCESTER-Elizabeth J. (Johnson) McCann, 73, of 10 Tewskbury Road died Wednesday, August 6th in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband, Donald F. McCann died in 1992. She leaves a son, Kevin F. McCann of Rutland; 2 daughters, Kathleen Sciabarrasi and Joanne McCall both of Worcester; a brother, Philip E. Johnson of Sunapee, NH; 5 sisters, Alice Hughes of Beverly Hills, FL, Elsie Nichols of Worcester, Jean Grace of Wilmont, NH, Carol Crook of Newport, NH and Mary Whittle of Tuscon, AZ; 3 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was born in Brattleboro, VT the daughter of Philip R. and Florence (Fitts) Johnson and lived in Worcester for many years. She graduated from Sunapee High School. Mrs. McCann was a telephone operator for Apex Answering Service for 21 years before retiring. Previously, she worked for the New England Telephone Company. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and was a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother for 4 years. She also attended social day care programs at the Age Center of Worcester and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crafts and games.
The funeral will be Friday, August 8th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. The calling hours will be Thursday, August 7th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
