Paul E. Ullstrom; Long Time YMCA Volunteer
ERVING - Paul E Ullstrom, 73, of 4 Maple Ave., and a native of Worcester, died Thursday, March 2, 2000, at Athol Memorial Hospital, following an illness.
He was born in Worcester, Feb. 22, 1927 the son of G. Edward and L. Virginia (Magnuson) Ullstrom.
He was educated in Worcester Public Schools graduating from Worcester High School. He graduated from Yale University with a bachelors degree in Psychology, and later Clark University with a masters in Psychology.
He was recently retired as a member of the staff of the Naukeag Hospital, as its director of counseling. Prior to that, he was the clinical director for the greater Massachusetts Hospital from 1980 - 1981. He also served as a former staff psychologist at the Alcoholic Rehabilitation unit of the Rutland Heights Hospital from 1976 - 1980. He also served as a part - time service coordinator for the Worcester Public Inebriate Shelter from 1976 - 1980.
He also was associated with the YMCA organizations, serving six associations, in five states from 1951 to 1976, for a total of 25 years. He was active in administrative, fund raising, staff training, counseling and programs.
He was a former member of the Greenfield Rotary Club, and was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Greenfield. He was an honorably discharged member of the United States Army, having served during World War II.
He enjoyed golf, gardening, animals, volunteering and classical music.
He married the former Shirley (Rhodes) Lessard, Sept. 6, 1986 and they celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary this past year.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Louis Lessard of Newburyport, and Damien Lessard of Athol; two daughters, Kristen L. O'Connor of Charlton and Sheridan Mattison of Osterville and 3 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Maurice Lessard in 1988.
A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, March 6 at 11 a.m. from the St. James Episcopal Church, 73 Federal St., Greenfield with the Rev. Frank Moss, rector, officiating.
Burial following cremation, will be private and at the convenience of the family.
A reception will follow the services in the santuary of the church, all are invited.
Military honors will be observed with a representative of the United States Army, assigned to the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, N.Y., Charles Habershaw of Athol; a sister, Lillian McWilliams of Idaho; two brothers, Alfred Hall of Providence, R.I., Henry Hall of Orlando, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 2 great - grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Robert Habershaw, who died in 1997, and two brothers, Francis and Charles Hall.
She was born in Providence, R.I., Nov. 6, 1915 the daughter of Henry and Rose (Breard) Hall and was a resident at Wachusett Manor for the past year and a half coming from Phillipston where she resided with her daughter, Catherine Eklund.
She grew up in Providence and attended schools there graduating from Mt. Pleasant High School in Providence. She married in 1941 and lived in Providence until moving to North Attleboro in 1946. She and her husband were dairy farmers. They operated farms in North Attleboro from 1946 to 1963, then moved there business to Barre until 1971 and then relocating to Bellville, New York she was active in the Bellville Firefighters Auxiliary, and a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church in Adams, N.H., March 11, 1920, a daughter of Edward A. and Sadie M. (Demeritt) Leach, she grew up in Lyman, Maine in 1959, she worked at the B & S Manufacturing Co. for 15 years. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and camping.
Her husband, William Goodrum, died in 1971 and a son, Fred Woods, died in 1999. She leaves a son, Rodney Goodrum of Orange; a daughter, Linda Whaley of Orange; a brother, Edward Leach of Lyman, Me.; a sister, Beatrice Rowell of Lyman, Me.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great - grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 4 at 2 p.m. in the Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St, Biddeford, Me.
Burial will follow in Goodwins Mills Cemetery, Lyman, Me.
There will be a calling hour from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel.

Dubrule Services
A funeral Mass for Alberta V. (Guy) Dubrule, 89, of 242 Petersham Rd., was held Thursday, March 2, 2000 in Our Lady Immaculate Church. The Rev. Stephen D. Johnson, pastor, was the celebrant of the Mass. The organist was Janet Paoletti, and the cantor was Mary Ehnstrom.
Burial was in Silver Lake Cemetery.
Bearers were Brian Dubrule, David Dubrule, Bruce Dubrule Jr., Scott Dubrule, Clarence Blanchard and Peter Lanteigne.
The J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Eva Partridge; Retired Inspector
NORTH BROOKFIELD - Eva H. (Doubleday) Partridge, 76, of 271 North Main St., a retired inspector, died Sunday, April 8, 2001 at home.
Her husband, Herbert W. Partridge, died in 1982. She leaves two sons, Richard H. Partridge of Brookfield and Lester H. Partridge of North Brookfield; a brother, Allen N. Doubleday of Orange; three sisters, Evelyn I. Letourneau of Palatka, Fla., Beatrice E. Horne of Scottsboro, Ala. and Patricia M. Doubleday of Orange; several grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
She was born in Dana, daughter of Charles and Edna (Peterson) Doubleday.
She was an inspector for Galileo Electro Optics in Sturbridge and previously worked for American Optical Co. in Southbridge for seven years.
The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 12 in the Pillsbury Funeral Home, Old West Brookfield Road, Brookfield. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Friday, April 13 in the Quabbin Park Cemetery, Ware.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 12 in the funeral home.
