LEOMINSTER - Linwood C. Miller, 84, of the Keystone Nursing Center in Leominster formerly of Athol, died on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003, after a long battle with prostate cancer.
Born in Monticello, Maine. He later moved to N.H. and Shirley Miller of Kensington, Maryland; a grandson Kevin Hubbard of Winchester, Maine.
A private memorial service will be held at the Community Church of North Orange and Tully, and a military burial will be at Silver Lake Cemetery later this spring.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that tax - deductible donations are made in his memory to the Diversified Hospice Program, 316 Nichols Rd., Fitchburg, MA 01420.
Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main St., Athol is directing arrangements.

Bonnie J. Racie

ATHOL - Bonnie J. (Russell) Racie, 57, of 257 Orchard St., Athol died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare.
She was born on Aug. 16, 1945 in Worcester the daughter of Scott L. and Evelyn L. (Soucie) Russell. She grew up in Athol and was educated in Athol graduating from Athol High School in 1963.
Mrs. Racie worked at the former Duall Plastics as a buyer for 16 years.
She was a member of the Our Lady Immaculate Church. She enjoyed her home, people, food, crafts, painting, traveling and watching the waves at the ocean.
She leaves her husband of 38 years, Carlton A. Racie; a son, Timothy S. Racie of Acton; two grandchildren, Mckayla and Meghan Racie both of Acton.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 20, from the Fiske Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Monday, Jan. 20 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Arthritis Foundation - Oregon; sisters - in - law, Sandra Derry of California; a brother - in - law, James Derry of Calif.; grandchildren, Teri Kenney, Jason Kenney, Eric Kenney, Kris Porter, Margo Best and Jimmy Fesler; great - grandchildren, Lisa Martin, Robbie Martin, Lindsey Barker, Joey Adams Jr. and Sandra Adams; one great - great - grandson, Caleb Landry; two sisters, Gertrude Buzzell of Athol and Florence Gelinas of Orange.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Woodruff; one granddaughter; five brothers and two sisters.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date at the Fairhaven Cemetery in Tustin, Calif.
