ATHOL - Michelle Lee Damon, infant daughter of Jacqueline A. Brockney and Allen W. Damon, was born on Friday, July 18, 2003. She died an hour and a half later on Saturday, July 19, 2003 at the Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, not on July 18, as reported Wednesday.
Russell Services
ATHOL - Graveside services for Richard B. Russell, 52, of 413 Main St., were held Thursday, July 24, 2003, at the Silver Lake Cemetery, with the Rev. Fr. William Hobbs, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church officiating. Special music was done by Scott Smith of Orange and the bearers were: Gabe Mousseau, Alan Dodge, Ben Hause, Chris Dodge and Fred Deane.
The Higgins - O'Connor Funeral Home directed the arrangements.
Strange Service
ORANGE - Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 24, 2003 at Witty's Funeral Home for Donald E. Strange, 86, of 12 Columbia Ave., who died Monday, July 21, 2003 at the Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner. The Rev. Vance E. Frank officiated.
Interment followed in South Cemetery, Orange. The pallbearers were his grandchildren, Patrick Strange and Travis Lane, and great - grandchildren, Christopher Fellows, Eric Fellows, Timothy Fellows and Thayne Henry.
Following the committial service, a reception was held at the Orange Historical Society.
Witty's Funeral Home, Orange, directed the arrangements.
Timothy A. Cloukey
Worked Family Business
ORANGE - Timothy A. Cloukey, 41, of 350 North Main St., died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at the University of Massachusetts House of Representatives and the Massachusetts and Howard L. Hause ofMassachusetts Grand Lodge.
His wife, Shirley (Bergeron) Strange, died in 1986. He was previously married to the former Blanche Austin. He was also predeceased by three brothers, Robert, William and Charles Strange, two sisters, Elsie Davis and Katherine Keniston.
He leaves a son, Donald A. Strange of Guilford, Vt; two daughters, Carolyn Lane of Brattleboro, Vt. and Dawn Williams of Orange; his longtime companion, Doris Lamoureux of Orange; a brother, Richard Strange of Osawatomie, Kansas; two sisters, Evelyn Carey of Barre, Vt. and Mary White of Greenfield; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held at noon, on Thursday, July 24, in Witty's Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in South Cemetery.
There will be a calling hour from 11 am to noon on Thursday. The Orange Lodge of Masons will conduct a service at 11:30 a.m.
