Dale Peach
Dale Havens Peach, 74, of Annapolis and previously of Bowie, died of cancer March 28, 2002 at his home.
Mr. Peach was born on Dec. 21, 1927, in Chicago, Ill. During World War II he served in the Army as a sergeant. Before retiring, he worked for the Prince George's County government.
He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Edgewater and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In 1951 he was married
to Ruby E. Peach.
Also surviving are his son, Stephen G. Peach, and his daughter, Patricia D. Hill, both of Frederick; two brothers, Robert Peach of Luray, Va., and Bert Peach of Middletown in Frederick County; two sisters, Leona Pike of Vienna, Va., and Doris O'Malley of Selbyville, Del.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Edgewater. Arrangements are by Hardesty Funeral Home.

Charles Rhoten
Charles Clinton Rhoten, 72, of Easton and formerly of kent Island, died April 2, 2002 at his home after a brief illness.
Mr. Rhoten was born may 5, 1929, in Hampstead, the son of the late Ruth Davidson Rhoten and Lester Leland Rhoten. He attended school in Hampstead and Manchester before enlisting in the Army during the korean War. He served in Germany from January 1952 through Dec. 4, 1953.
After returning home, he was a journeyman plumber, working with C.L. Barnes, Southern Mechanical, William F. Wilke, Towson Mechanical, Joseph Zimmer Inc. and Dave's Quality Plumbing.
He worked for William F. Wilke as a plumber for 25 years and for his son, Charles David Rhoten of Queen Anne and of Dave's Quality Plumbing, for 10 years.
In addition to his son, he is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Geraldine Stephens Rhoten; one daughter, mary Catherine Cowell of Sykesville; three granddaughters; four brother, Gene Rhoten of Melrose, Lester L. Rhoten Jr. of manchester, Robert D. Rhoten of Germantown and Larry Rhoten of Hanover, Pa.; and one sister, Frances Long of Hanover.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and an hour prior to the service tomorrow at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 106 Shamrock Road, Chester. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Stevensville Cemetery.

John Van Wyk
John Charles Van Wyk, 79, of Crofton, died April 1, 2002 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. He had coronary artery disease.
Mr. Van Wyk was born Jan. 13, 1923, in Eaton, N.Y., and received a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1949 from Syracuse University.
During World War II he served in the Navy Signal Corps and was discharged in 1945 while attending Officers Training School.
He began his 36-year career with Nationwide Insurance as an adjustor in New York state and retired as a regional claims manager in 1985 in Annapolis. After retirement, he was a consultant to Nationwide as well as to the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund.
He was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Crownsville. His interests included traveling, gardening, vacations in Maine and visiting with family.
On April 13, 1963, he was married
to Adelaide "Heidi" Van Wyk.
Also surviving are three daughters, Susan Sturgis of Roswell, Ga., Janet Jennings of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Judy McFaden of La Plata; two brothers, Richard Van Wyk of Eaton and William Van Wyk of Heber Springs, Ark.; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Stephen's Church, 1110 St. Stephen's Church Road, Crownsville. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Leonard Collins
M. Leonard Collins, 86, of Stevensville died April 3, 2002 at his home. The cause of death was not available.
Born April 5, 1914, in Fall River, Mass., Mr. Collins was the son of the late Michael A. and Catherine Pert Collins. He grew up in Fall River and graduated from BMC Durfee High School in 1932.
On Sept. 5, 1938, he married
the former Mary Margaret O'Connell and they resided in Fall River and then Tiverton, Little Compton and Lincoln, R.I. Mr. Collins was a plant manager with Coca-Cola for 40 years.
In January 2000, they moved to Stevensville to reside with family. Mrs. Collins died on June 19, 2001.
Surviving are a daughter, Lynne Sinclair of Stevensville; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Collins was the brother of the late Kathleen Collins and Eileen Clarkson.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Patrick's cemetery in Fall River. Arrangements are by Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home in Chester.
Kathryn Faymonville
Services for Kathryn Ann Harbold Faymonville, 55, of Baldwin, N.Y., and formerly of Annapolis, were held March 16 at Hempstead Funeral Home in Hempstead, N.Y.
Ms. Faymonville died March 12, 2002 at her home after a brief illness.
Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Edward E. and Mae Louise Harbold. She graduated from Peru Central High School in New York, N.Y., and worked in hospitality at a restaurant there.
Surviving are one son, A.D. "Den" Faux-Burhams of Ijamsville; a daughter, Margaret Ann Faymonville of Margenta, Calif.; two brothers, John C. Harbold of Annapolis and Edward E. Harbold of Crowley, Texas; and one sister, Dorothy M. Klipper of Freeport, N.Y.
Dan Johnson Jr.
Funeral services for Dan Allen Johnson Jr., 16, of Annapolis, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, 31 W. Washington St.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at the church, where a Christian wake will be at 10:30 a.m. before the services.
Mr. Johnson died April 1, 2002 at the Shock-Trauma Center at University Hospital in Baltimore of a gunshot wound suffered that afternoon in Annapolis.
Born June 8, 1985, in Baltimore, he attended Rolling Knolls Elementary School and Bates Middle School and was a sophomore at Annapolis High School. He worked part-time at McGarvey's.
His interests included basketball, football and videos.
Surviving are his parents, Dan Allen Johnson Sr. of Kansas City, Kan., and Kimberly Johnson of Annapolis; three brothers, Marlon Simms and Dennis and Dominque Johnson of Annapolis; four sisters, Lakia and Jakia Simms and Takiera Cook, all of Annapolis, and Keona Johnson of Kansas City; his grandparents, Jacqueline Johnson and Charles Johnson of Annapolis and Yvonne Bailey Johnson and Lawrence Johnson of Baltimore; and his adopted grandparents who raised him, Izar and Elaine Kerrick of Churchton.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Arrangements are by Reese and Sons Mortuary.
