Anna Kalinoski
Anna L. Babkowski Kalinoski, 80, formerly of Severna Park, died May 12, 2002 at her home in Catonsville.
Born in Kingston, Pa., Mrs. Kalinoski moved to Fort Wayne, Ind., in 1947 and became a data entry employee for Lincoln Life Insurance Co. She worked there until coming to Severna Park in 1972.
In 1999, she moved to the Charlestown Retirement Center in Catonsville, where she was active in several clubs.
She enjoyed playing cards and sewing.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Joseph Kalinoski, died in 1999.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway and Cypress Creek Road in Severna Park. Burial will follow in Maryland Veterans cemetery in Crownsville.
Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.

Polly Lee Murphy
Polly Lee Murphy, 62, a Crofton resident for 27 years and previously of Bowie, died May 14, 2002 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore of complictions of lupus after a 20-year illness.
Mrs. Murphy was born in New York City. She attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison and later transferred to American University in Washington, D.C., where she graduated in 1961.
She was employed for a short period of time as an art teacher in Prince George's County schools.
After her children were born, she gave art lessons from her home and later to senior citizens through Anne Arundel Community College-sponsored programs.
Mrs. Murphy was a member of Prince of Peace Presbyterian Church in Crofton.
In addition to painting, she enjoyed cooking and gardening. She also played tennis and golf.
Surviving are her husband of 41 years, J. Dennis Murphy; one son, Dennis A. Murphy of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Karen L. Koung of Ellicott City; her mother, Kate Daigh of Ginger Cove in Annapolis; a sister, Sally Crandall of Columbus, Ohio; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Prince of Peace Presbyterian Church, 1657 Crofton Parkway. Burial will be private.
Arrangements are by the Evans Funeral Home in Bowie.

Elizabeth Glandon
Elizabeth Howell "Beth" Glandon, 72, died of natural causes May 25, 2002 at her home in Annapolis.
Born Sept. 19, 1926, in Hudson, N.Y., Mrs. Glandon attended Ohio State University. Prior to moving to Annapolis 36 years ago, she lived in Rhode Island.
She worked for the Dutch Consulate in New York in 1943. In 1946 she married
John J. Glandon.
She enjoyed ceramics, bowling, pets and playing cards.
In addition to her husband, survivors include three sons, John S. Glandon of Harwood, James L. Glandon of Ridgely and Jeff A. Glandon of Annapolis; two daughters, Mary B. McElvene of Lanham and Linda S. Faggio of Stevensville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral and burial services are private. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home.
Ann Grashl
Barbara Ann Grashl, 82, of Annapolis and previously of Severn, died May 26, 2002 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Mrs. Grashl was born Nov. 21, 1919, and raised in Germany. Shortly after World War II she married
Army Sgt. Maj. Frank A. Grashl, who died in 1991.
A homemaker, she was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Edgewater. She enjoyed water aerobics and cooking.
There are no immediate survivors.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A Mass of Christian burial wil be said at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Road, Edgewater. Burial will be in Glen Haven cemetery in Glen Burnie.
Herman Groller
Retired Army Lt. Col. Herman William Groller, 78, a resident of Bowie since 1964, died May 27, 2002 at his home.
Lt. Col. Groller was born Sept. 18, 1923, in Clarksburg, W.Va. He graduated from Annapolis High School in 1940 and from officers' candidates school in 1945. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was commander of a Nike missile base in Okinawa.
His interests included fishing and golf.
Surviving are his wife, Betti Emmi Groller, whom he married
Dec. 15, 1948; one son, Herman William Groller Jr. of Tampa, Fla.; one daughter, Shirley G. Hemmings of Glasgow, Va.; one brother, Leslie James Groeller of Preston in Caroline County; two sisters, Betty Neuman of Mayo and Jessie Ann Marcellino of Edgewater; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Services and burial are private with arrangements by Evans Funeral Home in Bowie. Memorial contributions may be made to your local fire or police department.
Eugene McCoy
Eugene E. McCoy, 77, died of cancer May 24, 2002 at Heartlands of Severna Park, an assisted living facility, after a lengthy illness.
Born and raised in Tiffin, Ohio, Mr. McCoy served in the Marine Corps during World War II.
He retired in 1989 as a senior engineer from the former Westinghouse Aerospace Division, where he worked for 36 years.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Morrow McCoy of Severna Park; one brother, Robert T. McCoy of Ashland, Ky.; and one sister, Nancy Wright of Denver, Colo.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Services and burial will be private.
Orlando McDaniel Jr.
Graveside services for Orlando Sherman McDaniel Jr., infant son of LaMeka Branford and Orlando Sherman McDaniel Sr. of Annapolis, were held this morning at Annapolis Memorial Gardens.
Orlando died May 22, 2002 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of complications of his premature birth at the hospital earlier that day.
Besides his parents, he is survived by one brother, Tylique Proctor of Annapolis; and his grandparents, Darlene D. Pindell of Severn; Harvey D. Branford, Patricia Savoy and Purnell Jones Jr., all of Annapolis.
Arrangements were by Reese and Sons Mortuary.
