Brenda Costello
Funeral services for Brenda Leeann Costello, 18, of Stevensville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home in Chester.
Miss Costello died at the scene May 28, 2002 of injuries suffered in a car accident on Route 301 in Queen Anne's County.
Born Aug. 29, 1983, in Boston, Mass., she was a graduate of Kent Island High School, Class of 2001. She had worked as a waitress at Kentmore Restaurant on Kent Island and also for Close Call America, a telephone company.
She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her friends.
Survivors include her parents, Charles W. and Tana McCarley Costello of Stevensville; her stepfather, David Duley of Stevensville; two sisters, Jessica and Renee Duley of Stevensville; and her grandparents, Larry and Judy McCarley of Texas, Charles and Dottie Costello of West Virginia and Buddy and Lindy "Tane" Duley of Bowie. She was predeceased by a grandmother, Brenda Carole McCarley.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Annapolis immediately following the funeral service.
Ella Glennie
Ella Beider Page Glennie, 94, of Annapolis, died May 30, 2002 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mrs. Glennie was born in Paterson, N.J., on Nov. 27, 1907, the daughter of Fred Page and Ellen Mellor Page. She was raised in Detroit, Mich., and studied business administration at both Wayne State University in Detroit and American University in Washington, D.C.
She moved to Washington in 1939 to work for the federal government, retiring in 1973 as a business administration manager at the National Institutes of Health.
Mrs. Glennie was a life member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She also belonged to the Friends of the Maryland Federation of Art, the Annapolis Symphony, Ballet Theatre of Maryland, the Caritas Society of St. John's College and Guild For Life, the senior activities program at Anne Arundel Community College.
Her interests included reading, sewing, knitting, painting, ballroom dancing, music and travel.
She was the mother of the late William Sinclair Glennie.
Surviving are her other twin son, Fred Page Glennie of Annapolis; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held at noon June 15 at 1317 Homewood Lane in Annapolis.

John Bell
John Morgan Bell, 74, of Lincolnton, N.C., died of natural causes June 3, 2002 at his home.
Mr. Bell was born Jan. 6, 1928, in Chester, S.C., the son of the late Frederick and Arizona Mullinax Bell.
He was an Army veteran and was employed as a foreman for Allied Chemical Co. before retiring.
Surviving are his wife, Grace Reynolds Bell; one son, John Thomas Bell of Claremont, N.C.; two daughters, Patty Ella Arrington of Pasadena and Cynthia Lee Yanky of Millersville; two brothers, Tommy Bell of Evansville, Ind., and Paul A. Bell of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Nida Gaynor and Wrennie E. Goins, both of Lancaster, S.C.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Warlick Funeral Home, 125 Dave Warlick Drive, Lincolnton, where services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Michael Scott
Michael James Scott, 47, of Stevensville, died of bladder cancer June 3, 2002 at his home after a nine-month illness.
Mr. Scott was born Oct. 12, 1954, in Washington, D.C., and raised in Lanham. He formerly lived in Odenton and graduated in 1972 from Duval High School.
He was the owner of Parkway Exxon/Texaco in Hyattsville.
His interests included fishing, hunting, working on cars, drag racing and rooting for the Washington Redskins.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Patrick and Jason Ryan Scott of Odenton; two daughters, Kelly Michell Scott of Baltimore and Melissa Ann Scott of Odenton; his father, James M. Scott of Summerfield, Fla.; his fiancee, Kimberly Fields of Stevensville; and three sisters, Karen Mellott of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Cheryl Lanham of Glen Burnie and Patricia Harris of Port Tobacco in Charles County.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will be at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Lakemont cemetery in Davidsonville.

Curtis Shinn Jr.
George Curtis Shinn Jr., 79, of Lothian, died of cancer May 26, 2002 at Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton.
Mr. Shinn was born in Washington, D.C.
He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and formerly worked for Steuart Motor Co.
He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Mayo, a charter member of the Deale Elks Lodge and a member of the Marlboro Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Shinn; three daughters, Donna and Leandra Shinn, both of Lothian, and Sandra Rostad of Crofton; three grandsons; and a sister, Peggy Gouldman of Colonial Beach, Va.
Services and burial are private. Arrangements are by Cedar Hill Funeral Home in Suitland.
Lillian Armiger
Lillian Anna Armiger, 94, a retired nurse and resident of Boonsboro in Washington County and formerly of the Annapolis area, died June 2, 2002 at Reeder's Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born May 12, 1908, in Slate Run, Pa., Mrs. Armiger was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Mary E. McConnell Pope. She was the widow of Harold A. Smith, Richard Allen and Marion L. Armiger.
She worked at Cortland, N.Y., Hospital and Anne Arundel Medical Center and for several doctors in the Annapolis area.
A longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church, she served on its board of diretors and was its organist.
Surviving are one daughter, Rosemond S. Coffin of Hagerstown; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Lawrence D. Smith and the sister of the late Enid Braman, Gwendolyn Atwood and Winifred Hebble.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home in Hagerstown.
