James Moore
James "Jim" Albert Moore, 69, of Churchton and formerly of Harwood, died of renal cell cancer June 27, 2002 at his home.
Mr. Moore was born June 20, 1933, in Blackwater, Va. He worked for Yellow Freight out of Landover and Spector Freight. A truck driver and dock worker, he retired on disability in 1986.
Mr. Moore was a member of First Baptist Church of Deale. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing and camping.
In 1974, he married
Patricia G. Moore.
Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Tayman and Linda Moore of Churchton; two brothers, Thomas E. Moore of California in St. Mary's County and Donald W. Moore of Waldorf; and four sisters, Clara E. Wood, Anna L. Beales and Betty J. Kemp of Harwood and Delores F. Estep of Lothian.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie. Services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at First Baptist Church, 5907 Churchton Road, Deale. Burial will be in Lakemont cemetery in Davidsonville.
Kuni Nelson
Kuni W. Nelson, 82, of Severna Park, died of natural causes June 25, 2002 at the Spa Creek Center, Genesis ElderCare Network.
Mrs. Nelson was born April 2, 1920, in Oslo, Norway, and raised on Long Island, N.Y. She was a longtime resident there, graduating from Freeport High School. She worked as a banker in retail banking.
Following retirement, she and her husband, Arthur B. Nelson, moved to Oriental, N.C. Mr. Nelson died in 1988. Seven years ago, Mrs. Nelson moved to Severna Park, where she was active in Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Her interests included playing bridge, travel, sailing and the theater.
She is survived by one son, Richard Nelson of Preston, and two grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Margaret Romanelli.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Woods Church. Burial will be in Lakemont cemetery in Davidsonville.

Theresa O'Connor
Theresa O'Connor, 86, of Severna Park, died June 26, 2002 at Stella Maris Hospice at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore of complications of a stroke after a brief illness.
Mrs. O'Connor was born Nov. 30, 1915, and raised in Clifton, N.J. She was a teacher and homemaker who lived most of her life in New Jersey.
She enjoyed spending time with many friends throughout her life, most recently from Sunrise Assisted Living in Severna Park.
The widow of Jeremiah O'Connor, she is survived by three daughters, Peg O'Connor Burns of Severna Park, Kathleen Gati of Lake Charles, La., and Patricia Sollitto of Stamford, Conn.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie HIghway in Severna Park. Burial services will be private.

Marjorie Suit
Marjorie "Margie" Anderson Suit, 77, a resident of Annapolis for 55 years, died of cancer June 26, 2002 at her home.
A homemaker, Mrs. Suit was born in Baltimore on March 8, 1925, and attended Annapolis High School.
Before her marriage to Francis M. Suit on March 2, 1946, she worked for the Department of Public Works and Western Union and was manager of an Annapolis movie theater.
She was a member of the Auxiliary of Anne Arundel Medical Center for several years. Her interests included reading and working crossword puzzles.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Natalie T. Suit of Annapolis. She was the sister of the late Jean Paxton.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tonight at Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Elizabeth Duvall
Elizabeth Mary Duvall, 93, of Annapolis, died June 23, 2002 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
A homemaker, Mrs. Duvall was born June 6, 1909, in Galesville, and attended Anne Arundel County public schools.
She was a lifelong member of Mount Olive A.M.E. Church where she served with various organizations including the Ushers and the Missionary Society. She enjoyed watching educational game shows, working crossword puzzles, reading and rooting for the Baltimore Orioles.
In 1938, she married
Thomas Roosevelt Duvall, who died in 1980.
Surviving is a foster daughter, Aliceteen M. Mangum of Annapolis.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 tonight at Miller's Metropolitan Chapel, 1922 Forest Drive. A Christian wake will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at Mount Olive A.M.E. Church, 2 Hicks Ave., where services will be at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Brewer Hill Cemetery.
George Ferreri
A funeral liturgy was offered this morning at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Towson for George P. Ferreri Sr., 74, of Easton and Daytona Beach, Fla., who once headed the state's Air Management Administration.
Formerly of Towson, Mr. Ferreri directed programs improving air quality in the state and enforcing pollution regulations.
He died of a pulmonary embolism June 22, 2002 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
He worked for more than 30 years advocating clean-air standards. He played a major part in establishment of a regional commission of Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states and the EPA to work on air quality issues. He was credited by environmentalists and government officials for his efforts in making Maryland's air cleaner.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he graduated from LaSalle Military Academy and received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., in 1951.
Initially, he worked for Squibb and Sons in New Jersey, and came to Maryland in 1959. He joined the Maryland air pollution program, taking over in 1972 as chief of its air quality division, which later became part of the state Department of the Environment. He retired in 1992.
His interests included fishing and his boat, Mary's Mistake.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Mary Lynch Ferreri; three sons, George P. Ferreri Jr. of Crofton, Stephen Ferreri of Phoenix in Baltimore County and Paul Ferreri of Cordova in Talbot County; two daughters, Marilyn Booker of Phoenix and Claudia Brynes of Perry Hall; a sister, Josephine Simonelli of Point Lookout, N.Y.; and 14 grandchildren.
Burial was in St. Peter's cemetery in Queenstown. Arrangements were by Evans Chapel of the Chimes in Timonium.
Donald Holland
Donald H. Holland, 88, of Shady Side, a self-employed waterman, died June 21, 2002 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born June 14, 1914, in Maryland, Mr. Holland went to county public schools. He attended First Baptist Church of Annapolis and was a former member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Shady Side.
His interests included watching television and listening to the radio.
Surviving are one brother, Kenneth Holland of Baltimore; and two sisters, Eunice Nick of Shady Side and Ruth Williams of Baltimore.
Viewing will begin at 9 a.m. tomorrow at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church in Shady Side, with a Christian wake at 10:30 a.m. and funeral at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Ebenezer A.M.E. Church cemetery in Galesville.
Arrangements are by Reese and Sons Mortuary.
