Charles Kelly
Charles Culver "Chip" Kelly, 48, of Coral Springs, Fla., and formerly of Falls Church, Va., died June 17, 2002 in Coral Springs after a nine-year illness with Hepatitis C.
Mr. Kelly had survived three liver transplants in his battle with the virus.
He was born Dec. 29, 1953, in Arlington, Va., and had received his general education diploma. He had worked at a marina in St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands before his illness.
His interests included military history, being outdors, boating and surfing.
He was formerly married
to Marcia Kelly of Florida.
Surviving are his wife, Diane Warfield Kelly, whom he married
Sept. 24, 1983; his parents, Mary Laurie and Charles Robert "Bob" Kelly of Arlington; and his sister, Janet Morgan of Arnold.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington, 4444 Arlington Blvd., Arlington. Arrangements are by Neptune Society of Oakland Park, Fla.

Karen Moran
Memorial services for Karen Linda Moran, 45, of Hagerstown and formerly of Lothian, were held June 22, 2002 at Raymond-Wood Funeral Home in Dunkirk.
Miss Moran disappeared April 1 near Wayson's Corner. Her remains were found May 26 near Upper Marlboro in Prince George's County.
She was born Nov. 27, 1956, the daughter of Robert and Norma Moran of Lothian. She was raised in Riverdale and attended Northwestern High School.
She worked as a hair stylist at a hair salon. Her interests included the outdoors, particularly camping, hiking, white-water rafting, skiing and the beach.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brothers, John Moran of Denton, James Moran of Springfield, Va., and Robert Moran of Bowie; and her sisters, Jacquelyn Pullman of Lothian and Martina Clayton and Byrul Watson, both of Chesapeake Beach. Another brother, David Moran, died in 1998.
Burial was private.
Melba Chew-Still
Melba Chew-Still, 82, of Annapolis, died June 27, 2002 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Ms. Chew-Still, the daughter of the late Allen and Annie Chew, was born and raised in Annapolis. She was a graduate of the former Wiley H. Bates High School.
During World War II she was a seamstress at Fort Meade. She married
and moved to Boston, Mass. She and her husband were later divorced.
From Boston, she moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where she worked for McDonnell-Douglas. She eventually returned to Annapolis, and worked for the Anne Arundel County Health Department until retiring.
Her hobbies were shopping, music and sewing.
Survivors include two brothers, Aaron and Matthew T. Chew Sr. of Annapolis; four sisters, Vivian Wade of Baltimore, Helma Robinson of Rialto, Calif., Geraldine Wilson of Annapolis and Mary Franks of Long Beach, Calif.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Christian wake will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with funeral services at 11 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 87 West St. Burial will follow at the Annapolis Memorial Gardens on Bestgate Road. Arrangements are by Reese and Sons Mortuary.
Georgia Green
Georgia Marie "Georgie" Green, 84, an Annapolis resident since 1945 and previously of Middletown Valley in Frederick County from 1922 to 1945, died of a heart attack June 29, 2002 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
The daughter of the late Fred and Hattie Green, Miss Green was born in Ohio on Nov. 10, 1917. She completed 12 years of schooling at the Maryland School for the Deaf.
She worked for P.V.H. Weems.
Miss Green was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of the Deaf in Baltimore. She enjoyed crochet work, needlework and watercolor painting.
Miss Green is survived by her brother, Edward Green of Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by two siblings, Curtis A. Green and Wilma Nokes.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Hardesty Funeral Home, 12 Ridgely Ave. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Mount Olivet cemetery in Frederick.
Donald McMullen
Donald Richard "Don" McMullen, 61, of McHenry in Garrett County and previously of Sunderland for 20 years, died June 28, 2002 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., after a lengthy illness.
Mr. McMullen, the son of the late Paul and Vesta McMullen, was born in Pennsylvania on Sept. 9, 1940. He attended elementary school in Loretto, Pa., and Ebensbury, Pa., High Schol for three years and graduated from Cresson, Pa., High School.
Since 1972, Mr. McMullen, was the owner and operator of LithoPress printing company in Edgewater.
He was a member of the Three Rivers Gun Club and the 12th Precinct Pistol and Archery Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, skiing and the outdoors.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Helen Louise McMullen; two sons, Donald Paul McMullen of Mayo and David Richard McMullen of Edgewater; his daughter, Jeanette Marie Beck of West River; three sisters, Patricia Meadrow of Philadelphia, Pa., Mary Buntz of Gallitzin, Pa. and Christine McGough of Cresson; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hardesty Funeral Home, 905 Galesville Road in Galesville.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Road in Edgewater. Burial will be private.
Ola Mae South
Ola Mae South, 81, of Grasonville, died June 30, 2002 at Memorial Hospital in Easton.
Born Jan. 16, 1921, in Stevensville, Mrs. South was the daughter of Viola Lane and James Edward Hoxter and a 1937 graduate of the former Stevensville High School.
On Nov. 12, 1938, she married
Arnold Burton South, who is now deceased. Subsequently she worked in the family-owned South's Store until it closed in the mid-1960s. She then worked for Perfect Garment in Grasonville and Tidewater Bank in Stevensville. In 1983 she retired from the accounting department of the Anne Arundel County Department of Health where she had worked for 16 years.
Mrs. South was a longtime member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Grasonville and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Grasonville.
Surviving are one daughter, Janice Mae Pierson of Salisbury; two sons, Larry Burton South of Miami, Fla., and David Edward South of Queenstown; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by five siblings, Calvert Hoxter, Elizabeth Tom, Marjorie Crew, Anna Kathryn Ruth and Esther Horney.
Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 106 Shamrock road, Chester. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery in Easton.
