Edward Kibler
Edward Lynne Kibler, 88, a resident of Amberly in Ananpolis, died Aug. 1, 2002 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Mr. Kibler was born June 23, 1914, in Owings Mills. After graduating from high school he worked as a carpenter and in the family business. During the Depression, he joined the Navy and spent 30 years serving abroad in China, Salinas, Ecuador, Panama and the Mediterrean islands, traveling extensively during his career. He retired in 1959 as a naval officer.
He started a second career, working for Anne Arundel County as its budget officer for 20 years.
Mr. Kibler was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Arnold. He also belonged to Annapolis Masonic Lodge 89, the Sojourners, American Legion Post 40 and the Military Order of the World Wars.
He was considered an artist who also enjoyed wood carving, building boats and writing.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Kibler; and one sister, Elsie Kent of Andover, N.Y.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and Monday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funearl Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Asbury United Methodist Church in Arnold. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Phyllis Osman
Phyllis Lewis Osman, 57, a resident of St. Leonard for seven months and Upper Marlboro for 23 years, died July 30, 2002 at Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton. The cause of death was not available.
Mrs. Osman was born Dec. 13, 1944, in Charlottesville, Va. She received her bachelor of arts degree in English from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Up until her death she worked for the Department of the Navy as a civil servant.
She was a member of Calvary Community Church at Riva. Her interests included houseplants and her family.
Surviving are one son, Jonathan Osman of Lynchburg, Va.; one daughter, Kenyetta L. Osman of North Beach; two brothers, Arthur Thomas and Tinsley Thomas Jr. of Charlottesville; and three sisters, Jane Carr of Charlottesville and Melissa Wicks and Doris Thomas of Capitol Heights. She was the sister of the late Mary Turner.
Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Community Church, 3272 Riva Road, Riva. Burial will be in Lakemont cemetery in Davidsonville.

Robert Dammeyer
Robert E. "Bobby" Dammeyer, 83, an attorney and lifelong resident of Annapolis, died of natural causes Aug. 2, 2002 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Mr. Dammeyer was born in Annapolis on Feb. 27, 1919, to the late Frederick and Carrie Dammeyer. He graduated from Annapolis High School in 1936. He attended the former Cochran Bryan Preparatory School and then entered the University of Maryland, where he received a bachelor of arts degree and a law degree.
During World War II, he served in the Navy from March 1942 to December 1945, when he was honorably discharged as a lieutenant junior grade.
He then opened a private law practice and also served as a fulltime trial magistrate for Anne Arundel County. In June 1962 he began as fund counsel for the state and in July 1965 was named deputy solicitor for the county, continuing in that post until 1973.
An active Mason, he was a member of Annapolis Lodge 89, the Baltimore bodies of Scottish Rite and the Boumi Temple Shrine. He was also a member of Annapolis Elks Lodge 622, a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Annapolis and a member of the Anne Arundel Bar Association.
His wife of 59 years, Anna Fowler Dammeyer, died in 2001. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Dammeyer, and a sister, Elizabeth Davis.
He is survived by a daughter, Darlene Boettcher of Edge-water; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
No formal services are planned. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home.

Margaret Burke
A memorial Mass for Margaret Ellen "Peggy" Burke, 54, of Annapolis, will be offered at 11 a.m. tomorrow at St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church, 701 College Parkway, near Cape St. Claire.
Mrs. Burke died July 31, 2002 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Wilbert Davis
Wilbert Randolph Davis, 71, a longtime resident of Odenton, died Aug. 1, 2002 at North Arundel Hospital of heart failure after a brief illness.
Mr. Davis was born May 10, 1931, in Davidsonville and was a graduate of the former Wiley H. Bates High School. He joined the Army and served for 20 years, retiring as staff sergeant. After leaving the military, he drove trucks for a time for the Ingram Co. in Baltimore.
He was a member of American Legion Post 141.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Thelma Loretta Davis of Odenton; one adopted daughter, Nina Robinson; two brothers, Wandel Davis of Glen Burnie and Marcelos Davis of Annapolis; three sisters, R. Smith of Fayettesville, N.C., Rachel Johnson of Annapolis and Jeanette Brown of Davidsonville.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Road, Gambrills, where funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1080 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville.
John Fedorkowicz
John L. Fedorkowicz, 73, a resident of Annapolis for 35 years, died of respiratory failure Aug. 1, 2002 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Mr. Fedorkowicz, the son of the late Samuel and Mary C. Fedorkowicz, was born on March 8, 1929, in Wilmington, Del., where he graduated from high school. He attended the University of Maryland.
He retired from the Air Force, in which he served for 24 years from 1951 to 1975. He later worked for the finance department of the District Court of Maryland.
In earlier days he was an avid handball, racquetball and tennis player. In addition to sports, his interests included reading, classic movies and barbecuing for his family and friends. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Annapolis Elks Lodge 622.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Joan Tucker Fedorkowicz; five children, Deborah L. Fedorkowicz of Annapolis, Joseph J. Fedorkowicz of Laurel, Carl G. Fedorkowicz of Minot, N.D., Eric L. Fedorkowicz of Davidsonville and Mary A. Hutchins of Arnold; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road. Burial will be in Maryland Veterans cemetery in Crownsville.

Anna Fredrick
Anna Marie Fredrick, 86, of Anne Arundel County and formerly of Oconomowoc, Wis., died of a stroke Aug. 1, 2002 at the Heritage Harbour Health and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Fredrick was born Dec. 17, 1915, in Lyons, Wis., and received her nursing degree in 1940 from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
She was an Army nurse with the rank of first lieutenant at the 81st Station Hospital in North Africa and Italy during World War II. Her wartime nursing experiences were included in a book, "The Hero Next Door Returns, " by Kristin Gilpatrick.
Mrs. Fredrick volunteered more than 5, 000 hours at the Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bowie and a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc.
In 1952 she married
Lawrence J. Fredrick, who died in 2000.
Surviving are one son, Steven Fredrick of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Pauline Sterin of Harwood; and three sisters, Margaret Ehrke of Crystal Lake, Ill., Irene Prins of Racine, Wis., and Lenore McNamee of Lake Geneva, Wis.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. followed by the funeral services at noon Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 210 Pleasant St., Oconomowoc, where arrangements are by Schmidt & Bartelt, Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home. Burial will be in LaBelle cemetery in Oconomowoc.
