Barbara A. Dalton, 61, of Westminster
Barbara Ann Dalton, 61, of Westminster died Friday, March 21, 2008, at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster.
Born Jan. 7, 1947, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Harold C. and Doris Reed Dalton of Westminster.
She served in the Army reserves and had been a registered nurse for many years.
She was an active member of Chapelgate Presbyterian Church in Marriottsville, where she was a leader for the Grief Share group.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are brother and sister-in-law Barry and Kathi Dalton of McHenry.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chapelgate Presbyterian Church, 2600 Marriottsville Road, Marriottsville. Interment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

Richard L. Dannenfelser, 55, of Manchester
Richard Louis Dannenfelser, 55, of Manchester died unexpectedly Friday, March 21, 2008, at home.
Born March 14, 1953, in Baltimore, he was the son of Eleanor Basara Dannenfelser and the late Louis Edward Dannenfelser. He was the husband of Linda Kappes Dannenfelser, his wife of 29 years.
He was a graduate of Patterson High School, class of 1971, and was a project manager for Max Realty.
He enjoyed farming, gardening, doing home improvements, cooking, especially grilling, golfing and spending time with his family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are sons Richard Scott Dannenfelser of Odenton and Kevin Louis Dannenfelser of Baltimore; a brother, George "Chuck" Dannenfelser; a sister, Jo Ann D'Eugenio; mother-in-law and father-in-law Bernice A. and James L. Kappes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. Interment will be in Meadow Branch.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Eugene N. Devers, 79, of Owings Mills
Eugene Norwood Devers, 79, of Owings Mills died Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown.
Born Dec. 11, 1928, in Oakland, he was the son of the late Emory and Margaret Devers. He was the husband of the late Rosemary Louise Kaufman Devers and the companion of Mary Basler.
Surviving, in addition to his companion, are a daughter, Carolyn Devers of Reisterstown; son and daughter-in-law Robert and Bonnie Devers of Westminster; and grandchildren Angela and Kevin Stencil and Bryan McDonald.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, with the Rev. Silvester Kim officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.

Robert L. 'Bob' Flynn, 69, of Hanover, Pa.
Robert Lee "Bob" Flynn, 69, of Hanover, Pa., died Thursday, March 13, 2008, from injuries suffered in a vehicular accident near Florence, S.C.
Born Dec. 22, 1938, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late James Ashby and Agnes Aliska Pickett Flynn. He was the husband of Ruth Ann Haerer Flynn, his wife of 37 years.
He was a retired lithographer at Lanman Progressive. He was a member of the Church of the Open Door and Union Local No. 285. He enjoyed spending time with his canine companions, Missy and Faith, who died with him in the accident. His hobbies included camping, fishing, Civil War relic hunting and archaeology.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons Cary Robert of Elkridge, Kevin Michael of Taneytown and Shane Patrick of Clarksburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by siblings Ashby Pickett and James King Flynn.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Open Door, 550 Baltimore Blvd., Westminster.

Richard E. Galicki, 54, of Westminster
Richard Edward Galicki, 54, of Westminster died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at home.
Born Oct. 2, 1953, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late John Victor and Clara Bullen Galicki. He was the husband of Susan Joan Galicki, his wife of 28 years.
He was a 1972 graduate of John Carroll High School in Bel Air. He received his bachelor's degree in manufacturing from the University of Baltimore. He began his employment at Vulcan-Hart Corp. in 1976 in the parts department, worked through several engineering positions and became the director of quality control in 1982, the assistant plant manager in 1987, plant manager in 1988, director of manufacturing in 1996, and vice president of operations in 1998.
He was an avid fisherman all his life. He was a member of the Bass Anglers Sportsman's Society and fished competitively for many years. He published several articles on fishing for a local fishing magazine and had recently acquired his captain's license to provide professional fishing guide services after his retirement. He enjoyed carving wood duck decoys and shooting skeet and sporting clays.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are stepson and daughter-in-law Richard and Margaret Hinkle; sister and brother-in-law Denise and Jeff Hunsucker; grandchildren Brian Hinkle and Sabrina Catalano; and nephew and wife Christopher and Kara Cox.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, with the Rev. Lou Noplos officiating. Interment will be private at a later date at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral chapel.

David W. Herlocker, 67, of Westminster
David Webb Herlocker, 67, of Westminster died unexpectedly Friday, March 21, 2008, at home.
Born Oct. 30, 1940, in Chicago, he was the son of Donald Herlocker of Canton, Ill., and the late Betty Comfort Herlocker.
He was raised in Peoria, Ill., and was a 1962 graduate of Knox College and a 1966 graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, with a doctorate in inorganic chemistry.
He began his long teaching career in chemistry in 1966 at Western Maryland College, now McDaniel College. He served as the chemistry department chairman for many years. He retired in 2006 and was named an emeritus faculty member. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the American Chemical Society, and other professional organizations.
He began running in the mid 1970s and was a member of the Westminster and York Road Runner Clubs. He was an organizer of many road races in and around Westminster, including the Main Street Mile. After an accident in 1995 left him unable to run, he continued to walk daily with friends. He was accompanied to many races by his canine companion, Badie.
He was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church and served on the church council and scholarship committee. He was active in Ardent Folk, a ministry providing meals to those in need.
He was a member of the parent organizing committee that founded the Westminster Montessori School in 1974. He helped to develop and implement the school's chemistry curriculum. After retiring, he volunteered weekly in their science classes.
He was an avid sports fan and followed the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and the McDaniel women's basketball and volleyball teams. He was a 27-year member of a book club and especially enjoyed history and trivia.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are children and partners Caryn Herlocker Meade and Adam Meade of Raleigh, N.C., and Daniel Herlocker and Ellen Keelan of Brattleboro, Vt.; brother and sister-in-law, William and Hilda Herlocker of Kildeer, Ill.; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Peter Speck of Wanganui, New Zealand; grandchildren Evan and Georgia Meade; former wife and friend, Helen Herlocker; and numerous friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, 21 Carroll St., Westminster, with his pastors, the Revs. Kevin and Martha Clementson officiating. Inurnment will be in Grace Lutheran Church Columbarium.
