Lawrence E. Spangler, Sr.
(September 20, 1925 - April 9, 2012)
Lawrence E. Spangler, Sr. “Larry” 86 years old of Reisterstown, died Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Dove House in Westminster.
Born September 20, 1925 in Sutton, Nebraska, he was the son of the late Edward H. and Vero Lange Spangler.
He was the husband of Edith C. Spangler for 62 years.
He was a graduate of Sutton High school in Nebraska in 1944. After graduation and during WWII he worked for the Army Air Force at the Harvard Army Air field in Nebraska as a Radio Aircraft Technician. He worked on such planes as the B 17, B 24 and B 29. He was classified in essential war work so never served in the Military. After the war he moved east to Pennsylvania, then to Maryland where he accepted a job with Glen L. Martin Company. Shortly after; he took a job with the Federal Government at the Baltimore Signal Depot for 7 years as a Journeyman Radio Technician and an Electronics Inspector. He then took a job with the CIC (Counter Intelligence Corp) and then was transferred to the Air Force as Resident Government Procurement Inspector at the Bendix Radio Corp. He was assigned to Bendix Field Engineering and after several years went to AAI Corp. in Cockeysville. He retired in 1981 then re-entered the work force with AAI a second time as Manufacturing Engineer until his 2nd retirement in 1988. Mr. Spangler was an avid gardener and marine fossil hunter.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children: Lawrence E. Spangler, Jr., Jacqueline Saul and Cynthia Simms, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 2 brothers. He was predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Friends may call on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills.
A graveside service will be held on Friday 2:30 PM at the Lorraine Park Cemetery.

Bradley T. MacDonald
(September 6, 1947 - April 4, 2012)
Bradley T. MacDonald, Jr. 64 years old of Owings Mills, MD. died Wednesday April 4, 2012 at his home in Singer Island, Florida.
Born September 6, 1947 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Bradley T. Sr. and Florence MacDonald. He was the husband of Shirley Dee Malaby MacDonald his wife of 41 years.
Mr. MacDonald was a graduate of Villanova University, where he had been a member of the Augustinian Community. He served 27 years with the U.S. Marine Corps, retiring as Colonel after returning to active duty a second time as the Deputy Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Retail Food, Hospitality and Recreation Businesses for the United States Marine Corps. Mr. MacDonald was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Medifast, Inc., for the last 16 years, he was also Executive Chairman and Co-founder of the Medifast subsidiary Take Shape for Life. He served as Chief Operating Officer of the Bonneau Sunglass Company, he was President of Pennsylvania Optical and Chairman and CEO of MacDonald and Associates. He was national president of the Marine Corps Reserve Officers Association. He served on the Defense Advisory Board for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. He served on the Board of Directors of Stevenson University in Maryland and the Catholic Family Foundation of the Archdiocese. He was Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation.
In 2006 Mr. MacDonald received the prestigious and audited Ernst and Young award of Entrepreneur of the Year for the State of Maryland. In 2012, Mr. MacDonald received an honorary Degree of Doctorate of Business Administration from Stevenson University and the Department of the Navy Superior Public Service Award.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Kellie Teresa Pizzico of Westminster MD, Margaret Elizabeth Sheetz of Finksburg MD, by his niece Melissa Ann Clark of Westminster MD, grandchildren: Kaela Rae Pizzico, Kirsten Dee Pizzico, Karli Elizabeth Pizzico and Grayson Edward Sheetz; his sisters Margaret Houston of Rosemont, PA, and Florence Lott of Drexel Hill PA; his brothers Michael MacDonald of Baltimore, MD and Robert MacDonald of Uvalde, TX.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 9:00-11:00 am Friday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD 21071, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM.
Interment 1:00 PM in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.

J. David Bergeron
(September 26, 1944 - April 10, 2012)
J. David Bergeron, 67, of Manchester, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, after an extended illness.
Born Sept. 26, 1944, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late John R. and Katherine Bertch Bergeron. He was the husband of Treva Meisel Bergeron, his wife of 45 years.
He was a former college biology professor and an author of pre-hospital emergency care textbooks.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a daughter, Shannon R. Bergeron.
He was predeceased by a sister, Bonnie Beltrane.
The family will receive friends from 3 until time of memorial service, 4 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.
A private cremation was held at All Faiths Crematory and Chapel.
William Steve Miller, Sr.
(March 16, 1924 - April 13, 2012)
William S. Miller, Sr., 88, of Manchester died Friday, April 13, 2012 at Long View Nursing Home in Manchester.
Born March 16, 1924 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Frank Miller and Lena Roth. He was the husband of Lorraine Joan Presnell Miller, his wife of 62 years, who died on January 10, 2011.
He was an accountant for AAI Corporation and enjoyed being with his family. He was a member of Manchester Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a trustee.
Surviving are his sons William S. Miller, Jr. and Robert P. “Bobby” Miller both of Manchester; his brother Daniel F. Miller of Palm Coast, FL; and sister-in-law Romaine Presnell of Easton.
He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Edward M. Presnell and his sister-in-law Opal Presnell.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester with a funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Manchester Baptist Church, 2933 Manchester Baptist Church Road, Manchester with Pastor David Scafide officiating.
Interment will be in the Manchester Baptist Church Cemetery.

Richard Lee Raver
(October 21, 1942 - April 14, 2012)
Richard Lee Raver, “Lee” 69 years old of Owings Mills, died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson.
Born October 21, 1942 in Owings Mills, he was the son of the late George Elmer Raver and Edna Elizabeth Buchman Raver.
He is survived by his siblings, Ruth Johnson and Charles Raver, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother George Raver

Audrey Lee Ballard
(January 5, 1936 - April 16, 2012)
Audrey L. Ballard, 75, of Manchester, died Monday, April 16, 2012, at Golden Living Nursing Home in Westminster.
Born Jan. 5, 1936, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence W. and Bertha F. Carroll Fleischmann. She was the wife of Theodore S. Ballard, who died June 22, 1995.
She was a loan service clerk for Carroll County Bank and Trust Company in Manchester. She was fond of animals, especially her cats.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth W. Ballard; and a brother, Charles Fleischmann.
She was predeceased by a sister, Helen V. Horan.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lineboro cemetery in Lineboro.

Otho S. Dutton
(March 1, 1928 - April 17, 2012)
On April 17, 2012, Otho S. Dutton, beloved husband for 64 years of Frances M. Dutton, loving father and father-in-law of Sharon and William McKoy, grandfather of Ron T. Dutton, Brother of Minnie Chase. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills and on Saturday from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at the St. Luke United Methodist Church, 60 Bond Ave. Reisterstown where services will begin at 11:00 AM.
