Priscilla Louise Abbott
SALISBURY -- Priscilla Louise Abbott, 60, of Salisbury died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at her home.
Born in Baltimore on June 1, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Oscar "Dipper" Abbott and Frances Margaret Shelton Abbott.
She had been employed as a phlebotomist at the former Peninsula General Hospital in Salisbury.
She is survived by a daughter, Dawn O'Neal of Salisbury; a former son-in-law, Robert O'Neal and his son, Ian; two sisters, Rebecca Abbott Thomas and her husband, Jerry, of Deal Island and Mary Frances Abbott Cooper and her husband, Will, of Princess Anne; a brother, Ted Williams Abbott Sr. and his wife, Rose, of Deal Island; close friends, Bonnie Otto, Patsy Ake and Terry Todd; and several nieces and nephews. She was expecting her first grandchild, Danny.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Ellen Abbott.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Johns United Methodist Church cemetery in Deal Island. The Rev. Linwood "Sonny" Benton will officiate.
Arrangements are being handled by Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne.
Joseph T. Richardson
HARRINGTON -- Joseph T. Richardson, who founded a construction business that has been a fixture in Kent and Sussex counties for half a century, died Saturday night, Nov. 13, 2004, at Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 80.
Starting his career in construction as a house plumber in the early 1950s, Richardson built a successful mechanical contracting business with the help of his wife, Virginia Richardson. Over the decades, Joseph T. Richardson Inc. has become well-known throughout the Delmarva Peninsula, doing work as far from its Harrington base as Accomack County.
Richardson, his wife and his daughter, Virginia Schweiger, sold the company in the spring of 2000, but Richardson stayed on with the firm as its president and later as a consultant. He was still working for the company when he died.
Born in Philadelphia on Aug. 27, 1924, Richardson grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania. He moved to the Harrington area in the 1940s and took a job as a projectionist at the new Reese Theater. After marrying his wife, who was then Virginia Collison, in 1951, the two moved to their home on Center Street in Harrington.
In addition to working as a businessman, Richardson served on the boards of directors of the Delaware State Fair, the First National Bank of Wyoming and Hollywood Cemetery.
Richardson leaves behind his wife, his daughter, his son-in-law, James Schweiger, and his grandson, Tristan Schweiger.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Melvin Funeral Home on South DuPont Highway in Harrington.
Instead of flowers, Richardson's family asks that donations be given to the Lake Forest Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, PO Box 45, Felton, Del. 19943.
Norma Edwina Coulston
SALISBURY -- Norma Edwina Coulston passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at Milford Memorial Hospital after a long struggle with Alzheimer's.
Born on June 30, 1911, in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of the late William and Norma Espich. She was preceded in death by Edward P. Coulston Sr., her husband of almost 60 years, whom she married
Feb. 18, 1936.
She is survived by her son, Edward P. Coulston Jr.; daughter-in-law, Susan A. Coulston; and a grandson, Clay Coulston, all of Centreville, Md.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury. Services will be private.

John T. Holt Jr.
NAPLES, Fla. -- John T. Holt Jr., 77, of Naples died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004 at Hospice of Naples.
Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late John T. Holt Sr. and the late Helen Moore Holt.
Mr. Holt grew up on the family's Homestead Dairy Farm in Salisbury. They were known for raising and showing horses, especially Tennessee Walking Horses. He attended the University of Maryland before entering the United States Army. Following his tour of duty, he returned home to manage the Homestead Dairy Farm, as well as building homes in the Salisbury area. In 1960, he founded Holt Paper & Chemical Co. In later years, he raised thoroughbred horses and raced them on the East Coast. After retirement in 1993 he moved to Naples. Mr. Holt was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. He was an avid golfer and a former member of Greenhill Yacht & Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Emily Holt, of Naples; a son, John T. Holt III of Severna Park, Md.; two daughters, Ellen H. Bass of Madison, Ala., and Carol Ann Naarup of Salisbury; a sister, Anne Holt Waldron of Sarasota, Fla.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one niece.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Dr. Robert Lee Harris will officiate. Private interment will be in Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.

Mabel Dennis Kendall
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. -- Mabel Dennis Kendall, 90, of Salisbury died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at her daughter's home in Florida.
Born in Willards, she was the daughter of the late Willis Dennis and Amelia Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her son, Bayard Parsons, and daughters, Amelia Niemann and Ethel Shores.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Pickett or Ormond Beach; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Margaret McCabe, Betty Kelly and Lois Vickers.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bounds Funeral Home, 705 E. Main St. in Salisbury. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Wes Davis will officiate.
Maurice Elmer Cannon
BERLIN -- Maurice Elmer Cannon, 83, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at Berlin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Maryland, he was the son of the late Percy Cannon and Catherine Slacum Cannon.
He is survived by his wife, Madelyn McCabe Cannon; two sons, Dennis K. Cannon of Frederick, Md., and Forrest K. Cannon of Berlin; two grandchildren, Amy Cannon Jones and Patricia Baltrotsky; and one great-grandchild, Cleo Jones.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Emily Dennis Cannon, and two sisters, Frances Waller and Catherine Freeman.
Mr. Cannon had been a self-employed brick mason. He was a member and elder of Buckingham Presbyterian Church, a member of Evergreen Masonic Lodge No. 153 AF & AM in Berlin, a member of American Legion Post 123, a member of the VFW in Cambridge, a member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon, was 32nd degree Scottish Rite and was a member of the Boumi Temple. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin, where friends may call one hour prior to the service and also tonight from 5 to 7 p.m., where a Masonic service will be held at 6:45 p.m. The Rev. Gary Baer will officiate. Interment will follow in Buckingham Presbyterian cemetery in Berlin.

Wilson Edward Bradford
SALISBURY -- Wilson Edward Bradford, 92, of Salisbury died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, at his home.
Born in Worcester County, he was the son of the late Alex and Maude Figgs Bradford.
Mr. Bradford was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Salisbury for more than 50 years. He drove a gasoline tanker for about 30 years. After retirement he worked for 10 years at East Side Deli in Salisbury. He was an avid baseball fan and supported Eastern Shore baseball all of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary E. Bradford of Salisbury; a son and his wife, Wilson Wayne and Betty B. Bradford of Chuckey, Tenn.; a grandson, John Edward Bradford of Chuckey; two sisters, Helen Mount of Newark, Md., and Emily Bradford of Pittsville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Lewis and Randolph Bradford, and two sisters, Bessie Smith and Eloise Shockley.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Holloway Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Howard Gordy will officiate. Interment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron.
Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home at 501 Snow Hill Road in Salisbury.
Joshua Ali Taylor
PRINCESS ANNE -- Joshua Ali Taylor, newborn son of Charles Henry Taylor and Rochelle Denise Hinmon Taylor, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
In addition to his parents, Joshua is survived by grandparents, Brantley Hinmon of Wattsville, Va., and Willie Mae Hinmon of Pocomoke City, and Wilbert Johnson and Hattie Taylor of Parksley; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mount Sinai Baptist Church cemetery in Wartown, Md., near Pocomoke City. The Rev. Tamela Wise will officiate.

Ronnie Lee Tyler
CRISFIELD -- Ronnie Lee Tyler, 61, of Crisfield died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury following a brief illness.
Born in Crisfield on Jan. 29, 1943, he was the son of Lenora Riggin Jones of Crisfield and the late Allen Smith Tyler.
A painter, he had a love for music and was the original drummer of the local band The Fantastic Fires. He was also involved with Faith Fellowship Assembly of God in Crisfield for several years. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his mother, Lenora Riggin Jones, he is survived by two daughters, Keena Tyler Kominski of Salisbury and Brandy Tyler Atkins and her husband, Mark, of Crisfield; four grandchildren, Alex Kominski of Salisbury, Audrey Atkins, Miranda Atkins and Noel Atkins, all of Crisfield; two uncles, Gene Riggin of Crisfield and Preston Tyler of Salisbury; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield, with the Rev. Wendall Hodges officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Asbury cemetery in Crisfield.
