David Joseph Moxey
LEWES -- David Joseph Moxey, 68, of Lewes, and formerly of Bel Air, Md., and Elkton, Md., died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, at the home of a friend in Bel Air.
Born July 28, 1936, in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Thomas N. Moxey and Catherine Davis Moxey.
He attended schools in Secretary and East New Market and was a 1954 graduate of North Dorchester High School. He later attended St. Charles in Philadelphia.
He was a member and past commodore of the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Club Association and a member of the Blue Gavel, as well as past commodore of the Bush River Yacht Club. He was also a member of Am Vets No. 2 in Delaware.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara R. Moxey of Lewes; one son, David J. Moxey Jr. and his wife, Anne, of Perryville, Md.; one daughter, Deborah Batzer and her husband, John, of Ellicott City, Md.; one granddaughter, Kelsey Moxey; two grandsons, Kyle and James Batzer; one stepson, Lloyd Shaw; two stepdaughters, Donna O'Brien and Sandra Parlier; two stepgrandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; two brothers, Thomas Moxey of Virginia Beach, Va., and Herman Moxey of Aberdeen, Md.; and six sisters, Irene Harper of Rhodesdale, Catherine Schmitz of Hurlock, Rosemary Cropper of Laurel, Patricia Zimmerman of Hillsdale, Wis., Bernadette Loscomb of Secretary and Maryanne Herbert of Orlando, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, George Moxey.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Secretary. The Rev. William Lawler will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mary Beatrice "Bea" Hinman
POCOMOKE CITY -- Mary Beatrice "Bea" Hinman, 86, of Pocomoke City died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at Hartley Hall Nursing Home in Pocomoke City.
Born July 28, 1918, in New Church, she was a daughter of the late William Edward and Margaret Parks Hinman.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pocomoke City.
She is survived by several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Dorothy E. Hinman, on Nov. 9, 2004.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 204 Fourth St. in Pocomoke City, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. A private interment will follow in First Baptist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 497, Pocomoke City, Md. 21851.

Madeline A. Gaigler
OCEAN PINES -- Madeline A. Gaigler, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at Atlantic General Hospital.
Her late parents were Charles and Lillian Hughes.
Her survivors include her husband, Kenneth W. Gaigler; three sons, Kenneth W. Gaigler Jr. of Ellicott City, Md., Larry C. Gaigler of Berlin and Jeffery L. Gaigler of Severna Park, Md.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Sharon L. Gaigler, died in 1953.
She and Mr. Gaigler had made their home here since 1990. She was an active member of the Community Church at Ocean Pines.
Friends may call at Ullrich Funeral Home on Route 50 today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Community Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. P. Thomas McKelvey.
Willie Lee Hunter III
SALISBURY -- Willie Lee Hunter III, 26, of Salisbury died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004.
Born in Salisbury, he was the son of Willie Lee Hunter Jr. of Fruitland and Linda Hutt of Salisbury.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a stepmother, Karen Hunter of Fruitland; four sons, Rae'Shawn Parsons and Willie Lee Hunter IV, both of Fruitland, and Tywon Hunter and Nae'Shun Hunter, both of Salisbury; two daughters, Akylah Hunter of Salisbury and Raven Kimble of Fruitland; one brother, Cory Hunter of Fruitland; one sister, Lucretia Hutt of Salisbury; two stepbrothers, Michael Hill Jr. and Joshua Hill, both of Fruitland; one stepsister, Crystal Maddox of Crisfield; paternal grandparents, Willie Lee Hunter Sr. and Dollie Hunter of Fruitland; maternal grandmother, Maryann Hutt; five uncles, Norris Hunter, Joey Hutt and Joe Hutt, all of Fruitland, Lamont Hutt of Salisbury and Elder Michael Wright of Eden; three aunts, Annette Hutt and Brenda Fitchett, both of Salisbury, and Elnora Gibson of Fruitland; one niece; and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, located at the corner of Delaware Avenue and Booth Street in Salisbury. The Rev. Lewis N. Watson is the officiating pastor. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Flower Hill cemetery in Eden.

Thasa M. "Bobbi" Biron
SALISBURY -- Thasa M. "Bobbi" Biron, 88, of Salisbury died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Dubuque, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Dr. J. Harry Biron and Helen Hockensteiner Biron.
Ms. Biron was a graduate of Wicomico High School in 1934 and the University of Maryland as a science major in 1938.
During World War II she worked for Lockheed in California and U.S. Rubber in New York and volunteered with the Red Cross. She was employed with Benjamin's in Salisbury from 1954 to 1958. She was employed in various departments at Peninsula Regional Medical Center from 1966 to 1972. While undergoing cardiac rehab at the hospital, she was reintroduced to technicians she had trained.
Ms. Biron was a member of the Institute of Retired Persons and St. Peters Episcopal Church. She endowed the Theatre Department at Salisbury University. The Bobbi Biron Theatre at Salisbury University is one of her legacies. Over the years she supported the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins. Her estate will benefit numerous organizations through the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.
Ms. Biron enjoyed traveling, having gone to Europe several times, and for many years spent some of the winter in Key West, Fla. Ms. Biron was a strong, independent woman. She was very loyal to her friends, maintaining friendships from her high school days through frequent lunches and long-distance calls. She will be missed by many.
As her health limited her activities, she enjoyed comforting her dog, Maryanne. During these past years her caregiver, Sharon Holbrook, assisted considerably for Ms. Biron's doctor and hospital visits.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Holloway Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. David C. Tontonoz will officiate.

Marbury Wilson Perdue Sr.
PARSONSBURG -- Marbury Wilson Perdue Sr., 75, of Parsonsburg went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, Wanda, on Monday, Jan. 3, 2005.
Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Willie Roy and the late Beulah (Taylor) Perdue.
He was a member of Salisbury Baptist Temple in Salisbury. He was employed by Perdue Brothers. He was an avid John Deere collector. He frequented B&J; Market. He worked for AW Perdue and Son for 17 years. He was a chicken farmer for 25 years in Mardela Springs.
He is survived by four children, Marbury Wilson Perdue Jr. and his wife, Sandy, of Salisbury, Brenda Perdue LeCompte and her husband, Gerry, of Parsonsburg, Thomas O. Perdue and his wife, Donna, of Salisbury and Susan J. Perdue of Parsonsburg; two sisters, Mattie Perdue Morris and her husband, Bob, and Etta Perdue Twilley, all of Salisbury; grandchildren, Marbury Wilson Perdue III and his wife, Jennifer, Jennifer R. Dennis, Holly N. Dennis, Mark W. Perdue, Courtney B. Dennis, Maegan A. Perdue, Joseph T. Perdue, Jared T. Perdue and Caleb R. Perdue; great-grandchildren, Autumn N. Perdue and Taylor A. Perdue; granddogs, Toby, Asher and Andrew; great-granddogs, Baby, Oglebee, Goldstein and Noel; special sisters-in-law, Kaye Perdue and Jane M. Malone of Missouri; a special nephew, Bruce R. Malone and his wife, Sina, and their children, Robert and Ryan Malone; and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda M. Perdue; sister, Lula Perdue Williams; and three brothers, William R. Perdue, Straughn C. Perdue and Howard O. Perdue.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Salisbury Baptist Temple, 6413 Hobbs Road in Salisbury. Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Pastor Oren Perdue will officiate. Interment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron.

Ella Louise Purnell
SALISBURY -- Ella Louise Purnell, 94, of Collins Street died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at Salisbury Center: Genesis ElderCare in Salisbury.
She was born in Quantico. Her late husband, Milburn Purnell, died in 1989.
Prior to returning to Salisbury, she made her home in New York for many years, where she retired as a housekeeper.
She was a member of St. Paul AME Zion Church, where she served as an usher and former member of the Building Fund Committee.
Her survivors include one son, Everette "Billy" Waller of Salisbury; two granddaughters, Sharon Waller of Harlem, N.Y., and Ella Waller of St. Mary's, Fla.; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at noon at St. Paul AME Zion Church on Delaware Avenue in Salisbury. Interment will be in Green Acres Memorial Park in Salisbury. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury and Saturday at the church one hour prior to service.
