W. Keith Adkins
SNOW HILL -- W. Keith Adkins, age 47, of Snow Hill died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Salisbury, he was a son of Lloyd A. and Lura Gordy Adkins of Snow Hill.
Keith worked in automotive parts for various companies and also as a machinist. He enjoyed motorcycling, traveling and fishing and was a member of the Assateague Mobile Sportfishermen Association.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Allison L. Adkins of Pocomoke City; two brothers, Richard Adkins of Snow Hill and Gene Adkins of Delmar; a sister, Barbara A. Tribeck and her husband, Gerry, of Snow Hill; his golden retriever, "Comet, " who was "his boy"; six nephews; one niece; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at Bates Memorial United Methodist Church on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Mark Avens will officiate.

Portia Warrenita Smullen
SALISBURY -- Portia Warrenita Smullen, 38, of Salisbury died Monday, May 9, 2005, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
She was a daughter of the late Warren Smullen and Annie Mae McBride Smullen.
She was a member of Faith Christian Full Gospel Baptist Church in Salisbury.
She is survived by a niece, Erica Chapalle Brown, whom she raised as her own; her grandmother, Sophie Smullen; four sisters, Patricia Lecato of Anchorage, Alaska, and Pamela Maddox, Phyllis Smullen and June Smullen, all of Salisbury; four foster brothers; one brother-in-law, Kevin Lecato of Anchorage; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Faith Christian Full Gospel Baptist Church on Lincoln Avenue in Salisbury, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Robert Douglas will officiate. Interment will be in Springhill Memory Garden near Hebron.
Arrangements are being handled by Stewart Funeral Home in Salisbury.
Patricia Strauss
POCOMOKE CITY -- Patricia Strauss, 84, died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, after a brief illness at her home in Pocomoke City.
Born March 17, 1921, in London, U.K., she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Katherine Snow.
Her husband, Ernest W. Strauss, preceded her in death March 20, 1990.
Mrs. Strauss was a member of the Shoreland Club, the Upper Somerset AARP, the Somerset County Historical Society and the Garden Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Erica Strauss and her husband, William Kirkpatrick, of Manitowoc, Wis.; two sons, Peter Strauss and his wife, Krissa, of Allentown, Pa., and David Strauss and his wife, Marsha, of Pocomoke City; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Kaye of Ottawa, Canada, and Sheila Walker of Kent, U.K.; a brother-in-law, Theodore Strauss and his wife, Ludi, of Santa Monica, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Mole and her husband, William, of Hampstead, N.C., and Ramona Remy of Ocean City, N.J.; and 15 nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.

Lucie Schlang
SALISBURY -- Lucie Schlang, 96, of Salisbury died Thursday, May 12, 2005, at Wicomico Nursing Home in Salisbury.
She was born in Germany.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Schlang, in 1990.
She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by two nieces and their families, Edith Ward of Salisbury and Dorothy Callahan of New York; several nieces in Germany; and several great-nieces and nephews in the United States and Germany.
Following cremation, all services will be private.

Gail Thelda Hubbard
HEBRON -- Gail Thelda Hubbard, 71, of Hebron died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Salisbury Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Born in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Eliot and Thelma Fowler Drew.
She will be missed by her husband, Alfred Hubbard; children, Dawn Cheney of Salisbury, Eve Mueller of Evansville, Ind., April Keicher of Syracuse, N.Y., and Deane Zieser of Pottstown, Pa.; and her 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 21, at 2 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 211 Phillip Morris Drive in Salisbury.

Larry Benjamin Garrison
SALISBURY -- Larry Benjamin Garrison, 57, of Salisbury went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 10, 2005.
He was born June 1, 1947, in Nanticoke, a son of Sadie P. Garrison and the late William B. Garrison.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marceline Garrison; his mother, Sadie Garrison; a son, Wardell Turner; two daughters, Valerie and April Garrison; two sisters, Sara Bey and Cynthia Johnson; two brothers, Phillip Garrison and Myron Garrison; and five grandchildren.
Larry worked for the Wicomico County Board of Education.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Asbury Methodist Church in Nanticoke. There will be a viewing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will be in Nanticoke Cemetery.

William Brice Bramble Jr.
DELMAR -- William "Bunky" Brice Bramble Jr., age 69, of Delmar, and formerly of Cambridge, died Thursday, May 12, 2005, at his home in Delmar.
Born in Cambridge, he was a son of the late William Brice Bramble Sr. and Emma Kimmey Bramble.
Bunky, as he was known in his time in Cambridge, was a graduate of Cambridge High School. He was a former member of Red Men's Club in Fruitland. In his younger days, he worked as a pattern designer for the Manhattan Shirt Factory. He also worked for more than 15 years for BFI Waste Management in Salisbury as a dispatcher and did various jobs such as bookkeeping and accounting. He loved camping with family, arranging flowers and crafts. A favorite hobby was attending auctions and flea markets to buy and sell, but mostly to enjoy being around people.
He is survived by a daughter, Wendy Conn, and her husband, Steve, of Cambridge; a son, Mike Bramble, and his wife, Ann, of Federalsburg; a daughter, Lorrie Grey of Laurel; a son, Jeff Bramble and his wife, Kim, of Seaford; three stepsons, Darel Dean Stubbs Jr. of Salisbury, David Garel Stubbs of Delmar and Douglas Allen Stubbs of New Milford, N.J.; four stepdaughters, Bonnie Louise Burke of Parsonsburg, Teresa Lynn Vogeler of Parsonsburg, Laura Ann Denton of Salisbury and Kathryne Jean Robertson of Parsonsburg; a stepbrother, Tommy Niblett and his wife, Helen, of Cambridge; 12 grandchildren; 18 step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Louise Bramble, in 2001 and a daughter, Dianna Bramble.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove St. in Delmar, where family and friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment will follow the services in St. Stephens cemetery in Delmar.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Lung Association of Maryland, 209 E. Market St., Salisbury, Md. 21801.
