SALISBURY -- Edith C. Jones, 86, of Salisbury died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, at her home on Delaware Avenue. Born in Allen, she was a daughter of the late John and Annie Johnson Cottman.
She was a member of the Supreme Council of The House of Jacob in Princess Anne.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, John Henry Jones of Windsor, N.C., Seaman Jones Sr. of Atlanta and Calvin Lee Jones of Salem, N.J.; three daughters, Mildred E. Whitney of Salisbury, Beatrice Polk of Salisbury and Stella Whitney of Kelford, N.C.; one sister, Annie Marie Miller of Salisbury; two half sisters, Blanche Jones and Lavonne Jones, both of Princess Anne; one half brother, John Cottman; 20 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Supreme Council of The House of Jacob on Hampden Avenue in Princess Anne. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service and tonight at the Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home on West Road in Salisbury from 7 until 8. Bishop A. Z. Terrell will be officiating and Presiding Elder Leon Burkes will assist. Interment will be held at the Israel Memorial cemetery on Loretta Road in Princess Anne.
Donna Larrimore Elliott
LAUREL -- Donna Larrimore Elliott, 74, of Laurel died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford.
Born in Laurel, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Bessie Larrimore.
She retired as a registered nurse from Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Laurel.
She is survived by five cousins, Anne Tracey of Bethel, Richard Larrimore and his wife, Janet, of Smyrna, Del., Frank Henderson Jr. and his wife, Roseanna, of Claymont, Del., Robin Campfield of Seaford and David Roberts of Tucson, Ariz.; and one aunt, Emma Gray of Seaford.
A graveside service will be held today at 11 a.m. at Odd Fellows cemetery in Laurel. The Rev. Jerry Denton will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Centenary United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 200 W. Market St., Laurel, Del. 19956.
Arrangements are being handled by Short Funeral Home in Laurel.
Richard E. Ennis Sr.
QUANTICO -- Richard E. Ennis Sr., 79, of Quantico died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born in Crisfield, he was the son of the late George H. and the late May Grace Denston Ennis.
Mr. Ennis was a member and a deacon at Athol Baptist Church. He was also a member of UAW354, NRA and the Maryland Fur Trappers Association. He retired from Dresser Industries after 37 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and trapper. He was a very generous person and was very dedicated to his family and his church family.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elestine P. Ennis; daughter, Brenda J. Baumann and her husband, Gene, of Quantico; son, Richard Ennis Jr. and his wife, Deborah, of Quantico; grandchildren, William Betts, Nicole Bozman, Chris Baumann and Cherie Dowell; great-grandchildren, Alexis Betts, Cody and Cameron Bozman, Katelyn and Christopher Baumann and Kyle King; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and his three special pets, "Princess, " "Kenzie" and "Heidi."
He was predeceased by a great-grandchild, Brandon Betts; brothers, Lewis and Morris Ennis; and sisters, Louise Mason, Marian Hansen and Myrtle Lawson.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Holloway Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be the Rev. Ed Dennis and the Rev. Berry McCready. Interment will be in Salem United Methodist cemetery in Pocomoke City.

John Joseph Payne
BERLIN -- John Joseph Payne, age 79, died at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005.
Born in Berlin, he was the son of the late Nathaniel Payne and Mary E. Kierchner Payne. Mr. Payne was a carpenter by trade, a U.S. Army veteran and a gardening, fishing and boating enthusiast.
Survivors include his daughter, Rosemary Elizabeth Bartz and her husband, James, of Berlin; and his grandchildren, Sandra Jones of Perry Hall, Md., and James Christopher Bartz of Forrest Hall, Md.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary cemetery in Baltimore.
Arrangements are being handled by Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
Leroy R. Reynolds
BERLIN -- Leroy R. Reynolds, 64, of Berlin, a son of the late Margaret Ann Schoolfield and Richard Reynolds, was born April 6, 1942, in Pocomoke City and departed this life suddenly on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at Atlantic General Hospital.
He leaves fond memories with his wife of 34 years, Catherine Reynolds; one granddaughter and great-grandson whom he raised, Rhonda and D.J. Johnson; five daughters, Lezoria Cooper, Sarah Mitchell, Jackie Johnson, Betty Taylor and Denise Feddiman; two brothers, Melvin Cooper and Joseph Cooper; one sister, Barbara Stanfford; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held today at 1 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Berlin. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Salisbury.
Sean Michael McLaughlin
SALISBURY -- Sean Michael McLaughlin, 39, of Salisbury died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, at Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Born in Teaneck, N.J., he was the son of Kevin L. McLaughlin of Dover and Janet E. (Grotto) McLaughlin of Eugene, Ore.
Sean was larger than life. He is best known for his passion for people and God. He was always there to lend a helpful ear or share a cheerful joke. He will be remembered most for his contagious smile.
He was an active member of the Salisbury Area Junior Chamber of Commerce and also a member of the Elks Lodge No. 1903 in Dover. Sean was the seafood manager of Giant Food located in the North Pointe Plaza in Salisbury.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Casey Michael McLaughlin and Cody A. McLaughlin, both of Salisbury; a sister, Kimberley A. McLaughlin of Eugene; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his fiancee, Kathleen Coler.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holloway Funeral Home, where friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Casey and Cody McLaughlin Trust Fund, c/o Asbury United Methodist Church in Allen.

Franklin Randolph Niblett Sr.
SALISBURY -- Franklin R. "Lefty" Niblett Sr., 71, of Salisbury died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
Born in Salisbury, he was a son of the late James Garfield and Flora Blanch Chandler Niblett.
He was a life member of Moose Lodge 654 in Salisbury and also a member of Red Mens Lodge 149 in Fruitland. He was an avid baseball player of the Old Eastern Shore Baseball League.
He is survived by one daughter, Patty Lee Niblett of Pennsylvania; two sons, Franklin R. "Randy" Niblett Jr. and Gary J. Niblett, both of Dover; a sister, Linda Harrington and her husband, Bill, of Salisbury; one brother, Russell Niblett of Salisbury; grandchildren, Hayden Niblett, Matthew Niblett and Patrick Niblett; special nieces, Opal Littleton and her husband, Dale, and Debbie Hurley and her husband, Todd; nieces, Christine Littleton, Stephanie Littleton, Nicole Littleton, Tori Core, Lindsey Hurley, Melanie Niblett and Melissa Niblett; and nephews, Billy Niblett, Bob Core Jr., Shane Niblett, Rusty Niblett and Robert Niblett.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elwood James Niblett and Billy Lee Niblett.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Holloway Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be Friday in Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.

Dorothy V. Thomas
CRISFIELD -- Dorothy V. Thomas, 97, of Crisfield died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield, where she had been a resident for the past six years.
Born in Crisfield on Sept. 21, 1908, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Althea Belle Tawes Carey. Her husband, John B. Thomas, died in August 1948.
A homemaker, she was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by three daughters, Brenda K. Evans and Glenda Poole, both of Crisfield, and Betty Jane Chamblee and her husband, Don, of Reedville; three sons, Robert Thomas and his wife, Judy, Herman L. Thomas and his wife, Isabelle, and Timmy Thomas, all of Crisfield; one sister, Margueritte Phillips of Crisfield; 29 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by five children, Ronald Thomas, Gene Thomas, John B. Thomas, William C. Thomas and Peggy Bradshaw, and her brother, Edison "Skagg" Carey.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park near Crisfield.
