Hilda M. Carter
Hilda Mae Carter, 74, 11 W. Baltimore St., Apt. 615, Hagerstown, died Friday, April 28, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Nov. 9, 1925, in Burkittsville, Md., she was the daughter of Evva C. Jones of Hagerstown.
She attended school in Burkittsville.
She did domestic work.
She was a member of Second Christian Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Rideout of Hagerstown and Linda Thomasine Lipscombe of Baltimore; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a cousin.
She was preceded in death by her companion and close friend, Calvin Cook.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Second Christian Church, 65 E. North Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. RoseAnn Duckett will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Viewing will be held Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the church.
Arrangements are by Watson Funeral Home, 24 W. Bethel St., Hagerstown.
Grace E. Brandenburg
MYERSVILLE, Md. - Grace E. Brandenburg, 80, of Myersville, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Md.
Born April 17, 1920, in Harmony, Md., she was the daughter of the late Harry D. and Sarah Lutz Rohrer.
She worked for many years at Frederick Tailoring Co. She retired in 1988 from Barbara Fritchie Candystick Restaurant, Frederick, after 18 years.
She grew up as a member of Harmony Lutheran Church. She had been a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Myersville, for over 50 years, where she was a Sunday School teacher for 42 years.
She served as a Frederick County elections judge for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Austin T. Brandenburg; a daughter, Linda B. Gregory of Frederick; a son, Ronald L. Brandenburg of Middletown, Md.; two sisters, Mae Main of Myersville and Nellie B. Draper of Frederick; a brother, Ralph C. Rohrer of Frederick; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Rohrer, and two sisters, Mary C. Axline and Irene Rohrer.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Myersville. The Rev. David Howell will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Ricketts Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Myersville, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Lucille V. Fernandez
Lucille V. Fernandez, 72, formerly of 11 W. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, died Friday, April 28, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Nov. 24, 1927, in Clear Spring, she was the daughter of the late Luther P. and Blanche M. Timmons Bowman.
Her husband, Frank J. Fernandez, died in 1970.
She was retired from Lockhart Dry Cleaners, where she was a presser for 20 years.
She was a member of Church of God, Boonsboro.
She is survived by two sisters, Cora Mock of Hagerstown and Nancy Jenkins of Falling Waters, W.Va.; a brother, Albert Bowman of Greencastle, Pa.; eight nieces; nine nephews; nine great-nieces; 12 great-nephews; two great-great-nieces and two great-great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Clinton Bowman.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. James J. Caldwell will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Stanley B. Mullineaux
WILLIAMSPORT - Stanley Brooks Mullineaux, 87, of Williamsport, and formerly of 402 Dorsey Ave., Mount Airy, Md., died Friday, April 28, 2000, at Williamsport Nursing Home.
Born Dec. 20, 1912, in Howard County, Md., he was the son of the late Basil Crawford and Elsie King Mullineaux.
His wife, Josephine Margre Mullineaux, died in 1997.
He was an employee of Maryland Motor Vehicles Administration, retiring as first manager of the Hagerstown Branch Office.
He was a member of Mount Moriah Lodge 116, Towson, Md., Boumi Shrine Masonic Temple and Royal Order of Jesters of Baltimore, American Legion of Mount Airy, Elks Club of Westminster, Md., and Retired Maryland State Employees.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Rohrer of Hagerstown; a stepson, Harry Collins of Warminster, Pa.; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Francis C. Mullineaux, in 1974.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery, Mount Airy. Chaplain Josephine Benton will officiate.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial contributions be made to Williamsport Nursing Home, 154 N. Artizan St., Williamsport, MD 21795.

Betty J. Renner
Betty Jane Renner, 75, of 17812 Sherman Ave., Hagerstown, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore.
Born Dec. 17, 1924, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late William and Ola Dawson Huff.
She was a graduate of Williamsport High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of First Wesleyan Church, Hagerstown.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Dietrick Renner; a son, Terry A. Renner of Hagerstown; two sisters, Evelyn Soper of Pine Valley, Calif., and Vivian Charpata of Henderson, Nev.; two brothers, Wallace Huff of Clear Spring and Preston Huff of Deltona, Fla.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ola Cordell, Grace Draper and Delight Huff; two brothers, Elsworth Huff and Eugene Huff.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. The Revs. Robert Swank and Martin Farrow will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
