Anne H. Trimble
BOONSBORO - Anne Harvey Trimble, 91, of 8507 Mapleville Road, died Sunday, April 30, 2000, at Fahrney Keedy Home in Boonsboro.
Born Sept. 4, 1908, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Josha George and Bessie May Norris Harvey.
Her husband, the Rev. Canon David Churchman Trimble, died in 1998.
She graduated from Roland Park Country School in Baltimore.
She was school secretary and riding instructor at Hannah Moore Academy in Reisterstown, Md.
She accompanied her husband to parishes in Maryland and Arizona.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Hagerstown.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan T. Bruns of Montgomery Village, Md., and Nancy R. Worthington of Novato, Calif.; one son, David C. Trimble Jr. of Huntington, Md.; one brother, Nicholas D.N. Harvey of Hanover, N.H.; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 101 S. Prospect St. in Hagerstown. The Revs. Patrick A. Pierce and Victor I. Zuck will officiate. Burial will be in Wye Plantation family cemetery in Easton, Md.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg, St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Lappans, and St. John's Episcopal Church in Hagerstown.

Brett A. Miller
BOONSBORO - Brett Andrew Miller, 11, of 18110 Manor Church Road, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at his home.
Born Aug. 9, 1988, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Carl Franklin Miller Sr. of Hagerstown and Michelle Ann Pombo Burker of Boonsboro.
He was a sixth-grade student at Springfield Middle School in Williamsport. He received the 1999 Most Improved Academic Achievement Award and was a certificate of merit student in mathematics. He was a member of Springfield Middle School Band.
He attended Burnside First Church of God in Sharpsburg.
He was a member of B.A.A.A. Junior Football League of Boonsboro; and Sharpsburg Little League.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his stepfather, Michael L. Burker Sr. of Boonsboro; maternal grandmother, Ann D. Pombo of Hagerstown; paternal grandmother, Nancy L. Guessford of Hagerstown; paternal great-grandmother, Ruth Humbertson of Hagerstown; stepgrandparents, Linda K. and Larry W. Burker of Sharpsburg; stepgreat-grandmothers, Doris J. Gatrell of Sharpsburg and Anna Lee Burker of Sharpsburg; four sisters, Alissia C. Diebert, Megan Miller and Cheyenne M. Miller, all of Hagerstown, and Payne D. Burker of Boonsboro; four brothers, Carl F. Miller Jr., Taylor L. McPherson, Michael L. Burker Jr. and Buck W. Burker, all of Boonsboro; aunts; uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, David J. Pombo; his paternal grandfather, Roy E. Guessford; and great-grandparents.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St. in Williamsport. Pastor Ernest Witmer will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport.
The family will receive friends Saturday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.
The funeral home also will be open Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Marian E. Ward
SHARPSBURG - Marian E. "Peepy" Ward, 62, of 4434 Mills Road, died Monday, May 1, 2000, at her home.
Born June 26, 1937, in Sharpsburg, she was the daughter of Alice Jane Marshal of Boonsboro, and the late Martin Edward Griffith.
She attended Boonsboro High School.
She was employed by Londontown Manufacturing for 12 years; and by Sheetz Dual Highway for four years. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Mount Briar First Church of God in Keedysville; was pianist for Pleasantville First Church of God in Knoxville, and Locust Valley First Church of God in Middletown, Md.; and was a member of Willing Workers at Mount Briar and Locust Valley churches.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 46 years, Clyde D. Ward Sr.; six daughters, Sharon D. Churchey, Heather J. Mason and Jodi L. Shoemaker, all of Hagerstown, Mary Jane Peraro of New Orleans, Laura Sue Taylor of Middletown, and Jennifer C. Perry of Durham, N.C.; three sons, Clyde D. Ward Jr. of Hagerstown, Mike E. Ward of Williamsport, and Timothy L. Ward Sr. of Sharpsburg; three sisters, Joyce Quinn of Hagerstown, Joann Kaetzel of Gapland, and Becky Morris of Sharpsburg; three brothers, Martin Griffith of Hagerstown, Richard Griffith of Orlando, Fla., and Ronald Griffith of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be today at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Revs. Joseph Burdette and Terry Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.
The family received friends Wednesday at the funeral home.

Corvin D. Strite
Corvin Dean Strite, 7, of 14137 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at Washington County Hospital from injuries sustained in an accident.
Born Nov. 30, 1992, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Richard N. and Diane K. Strite of Hagerstown.
He was a second-grade student at Paradise Mennonite School.
He was a member of Paradise Mennonite Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Brenda Strite at home; two brothers, Brian Strite and Carlin Strite, both at home; maternal grandparents, Caleb H. and Lois M. Martin of Hagerstown; paternal grandmother, Doris L. Strite of Hagerstown; aunts; uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Nelson L. Strite.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Paradise Mennonite Church. Bishop Glenn R. Martin, Minister Shelly Graybill, Minister Enos Rudolph and Deacon D. Richard Martin will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North in Hagerstown; and Monday at 9 a.m. at the church.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
Annie A. Parker
CUMBERLAND, Md. - Annie Arretta Parker, 90, of Allegany County Nursing Home, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at the home.
Born Aug. 9, 1909, in Medley, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ivy Pearl Shrout Shoemaker.
Her husband, Ralph Parker, preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter, Lorraine Rittenour of Fredericksburg, Va.; one sister, Estella Belfourd of Cumberland; 11 grandchildren, including Walter Condry of Falling Waters, W.Va.; 28 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Parker; one daughter, Eleanor Condry; and three grandsons.
Services will be today at 11 a.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home in Cumberland. The Rev. Fred Parker will officiate. Burial will be in Sulphur Springs cemetery in Oldtown, Md.
Lloyd S. Griffith
KEEDYSVILLE - Lloyd Sylvester Griffith, 73, of 50007 Churchey Road, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at his home.
Born Nov. 5, 1926, in Keedysville, he was the son of the late Frisby F. and Sarah C. Lewis Griffith.
He retired from Antietam National Battlefield in 1991. He was previously employed by Bester-Long and Todd and Steel.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He trained and raised beagles, foxhounds and coonhounds.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Lilly A. Bowles Davis Griffith; four daughters, Beverly Ann Griffith of Sharpsburg, Laura Lynn Smith of Wilder, Tenn., Tina Marie McCoy of Waynesboro, Pa., and Dawn Renee Miller of Boonsboro; five sons, Lloyd A. Griffith of Sharpsburg, Arnold Griffith of Boonsboro, James M. Davis of Sharpsburg, Curtis L. Davis of Smithsburg, and Anthony W. Davis of Quantico, Va.; two sisters, Dorothy C. Dodson and Mary V. Griffith, both of Keedysville; three brothers, Kenneth F. Griffith and Samuel L. Griffith, both of Keedysville, and Wilmer L. Griffith of Trego, Md.; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Don Eugene Griffith; two sisters, Rosie Bowers and Martha Rudy; and two brothers, Leo Griffith and Gardner Griffith.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Jeff Hawbaker will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
