William E. Warfield
DICKERSON, Md.- William Edward Warfield, 85, of Dickerson, died Friday, May 19, 2000, at his home.
Born Nov. 20, 1914, in Park Mills, Md., he was the son of the late William Garrett and Bettie Euphrasia Harding Warfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Irene Wiles Warfield.
He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Oldham of Ohio and Nancy Strahler of Middletown, Md.; a son, William Warfield of Adamstown, Md.; four sisters Edna M. Stowers of Point of Rocks, Md., Mildred E. Austin of Boyds, Md., Doris M. Hough of Dickerson and Betty Lee Dunlop of West Virginia; three brothers, Charles G. Warfield of Frederick, Md., Warren T. Warfield of Dickerson, and Howard H. Warfield of Florida; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Shirley Ann Warfield, Louise Evans, Edith Roberson and Ethel Kefauver; two brothers, Oliver T. Warfield and David D. Warfield.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, (Rt.109) Barnesville, Md. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery, Frederick.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Walter M. Damasiewicz Jr.
Walter Michael Damasiewicz Jr., 65, of 909 Marion St., Hagerstown, died Friday, May 19, 2000, at his home.
Born Dec. 1, 1934, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Walter M. and Helen Nowak Damasiewicz.
He was a member of the Maryland Pharmaceutical Association, the American Pharmaceutical Association and the Alumni Association of University of Maryland.
He is survived by a brother, Jeffrey Damasiewicz of Cosmopolous, Wash.
William C. Cook Jr.
BOONSBORO - William "Bill" Chandler Cook Jr., 78, of 7707 Fairplay Road, died Friday, May 19, 2000, at Ravenwood Lutheran Village.
Born Aug. 16, 1921, in Moberly, Miss., he was the son of the late William Chandler Sr., and Marie Schroeder Cook.
He was retired from B&R Associates, Beltsville, Md.
He served with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II in the Pacific Theater as a coxswain on a landing barge and was involved in seven invasions, the last being Iwo Jima.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Cook, whom he married
Dec. 15, 1990; a daughter, Tracy Ann Moore of New Jersey; two sons, William Chandler Cook III of Montana and Dwight Steven Cook of Paris, France; two step-daughters, Janet McKee of Salisbury, Md., and Peggy Souza of Bethesda, Md.; two sisters, Helen Nestor of Allen Park, Mich., and Wanda Needham of Burnsville, Minn.; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.

Jessie M. Liston
ROCKY RIDGE, Md. - Jessie Mae Liston, 84, of Rocky Ridge, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Md.
Born March 4, 1916, in Oldfields, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Earl Scott and Edith Lenora Sions Merritt.
She had been employed at Clair Frock Clothing Factory, Thurmont, Md., as a presser for 18 years. She also worked at Chambridge Rubber Factory, Taneytown, Md.
She attended several churches in the area.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Troy Liston; a daughter, Donna K. Liston of Rocky Ridge; two sisters, Golda Liller of Union Bridge, Md., and Esther Smith of Mount Airy, Md.; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont. The Rev. Donald Carpenter will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. the funeral home, which will be open today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Carole L. Reed
FREDERICK, Md. - Carole Lee Snyder Reed, 59, of Frederick, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 17, 1940, in Falls Church, Va., she was the daughter of Hetzel G. and Edith Stevens Snyder of New Castle, Pa.
Previously she was employed at Charles Town Races, Charles Town, W.Va., for 8 years.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 42 years, Luther K. Reed; three daughters, Tammy S. Payne and Bonnie L. Korrell, both of Hagerstown and Paula M. Hobday of Springfield, Mich.; three sons, 1st Lt. Steven K. Reed, stationed in Seoul, Korea, Kenny M. Reed of Davies, Fla., and Kevin D. Reed of Frederick; five brothers, Eugene Snyder and Dale Snyder, both of New Castle, Gary Snyder of Arkansas, Jim Snyder of Irwin, Pa., and Marshall Snyder of Erie, Pa.; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Marshall Reed will officiate. Entombment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

William J. Bodine Sr.
SEBRING, Fla. - William Joseph Bodine Sr., 86, formerly of Potomac, Md., died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Florida Hospital Heartland Division in Sebring.
He was born Oct. 31, 1913, in Montgomery County, Md.
He was a graduate of Rockville High School, and Strayer Business College, Washington, D.C.
He retired as a government employee from the Corps of Engineers, McMillan Filter Plant, Washington, D.C.
He was a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics, NAREE and AARP.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Susan Lord Bodine; a daughter, Susan Kay Bodine Burdette of Germantown, Md.; four sons, William J. Bodine Jr. of Sebring, Charles Lord Bodine and Richard Lyle Bodine, both of Frederick, Md., and Thomas Jay Bodine of Jessup, Md., and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Virginia Keys of Hedgesville, W.Va.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Burial will be in Tuscarora Cemetery.

Herbert T. Lilley
Herbert Theron Lilley, 75, of 17707 Rockcrest Court, Hagerstown, and formerly of Rockville, Md., died Monday, May 22, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Dec. 20, 1924, in Massillon, Ohio, he was the son of the late Herbert C. and Laura Moser Lilley.
He retired in 1977 from the State Department in Washington, D.C., after 27 years. He last worked as a budget officer for the U.S. government.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in World War II in Normandy, Northern France and Central Europe.
He was a member of Morris Frock American Legion Post 42, Hagerstown.
He is survived by his wife, Florence A. McGann Lilley; two sons, Marc R. Lilley of Germantown, Md., and Charles H. Lilley of Laurel, Md.; four grandchildren; four nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Lilley.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. Richard Hembrock will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
