James G. Shaull
BOONSBORO - James Gordon Shaull, 55, of 7437 Sharpsburg Pike, died Friday, May 26, 2000, as a result of injuries received in a farming accident.
Born Nov. 15, 1944, in Boonsboro, he was the son of Evelyn Mellott Shaull of Fairplay and the late James H. Shaull.
He was employed as a farmer his entire life.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of the Maryland Draft Horse Association.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Thomas A. Shaull of Boonsboro; three sisters, Shirley Graff of Fairplay, Bonnie Vecton and Patty Kennedy, both of Hahira, Ga.; his companion, Linda R. Ager of Hagerstown and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Manor Cemetery, Manor Church Road, Boonsboro. The Rev. Loyal H. Vanderveer will officiate.
There will be no public viewing, however, the family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.
Madeleine M. Luttrell
WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. - Madeleine M. Luttrell, 87, of Winter Springs, and formerly of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at Mayflower Health Care Center, Winter Park, Fla.
Born Aug. 24, 1912, in Trenton, N.J., she was the daughter of the late George Samuel and Bertha Lee Braithwaite Martin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Luttrell.
She was a graduate of Martinsburg High School, Martinsburg Business College and attended Baltimore City College.
She worked with her late husband in his law practice and was the deputy assessor in Seminole County, Fla., retiring after 21 years of service.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Oviedo, Fla.
She was a former member and president of Pilot International, member of Sanford, Fla., Senior Citizens and Thirty-nine Plus Club of Oviedo.
She is survived by a sister, Kathryn Pollard of Winter Springs.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Rosedale Cemetery. The Dr. G. Edward Grove will officiate.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Florida United Methodist Children's Home, P.O. Box 6299, Deltona, FL 32728-9988.

Leona M. Brown
Leona Mae Hammond Brown, 94, of 17714 Leonard Ave., Hagerstown, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 7, 1906, in Keedysville, she was the daughter of the late Frank A. and Vernie Ellen Cochran Hammond.
Her husband, Percy W. Brown, died Oct. 27, 1974.
She had been formerly employed as a cook most of her life at local restaurants as well as working on the farm and at the Williamsport Silk Mill.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by a daughter, Shirley M. Stevens of Hagerstown; a son, Robert J. Hammond of Baltimore; a sister, Margaret I. Quick of Jessup, Md.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. R. Thomas Fralin Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Keedysville.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Robert W. Washam
Robert William Washam, 75, of 18735 Rolling Road, Hagerstown, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Dec. 20, 1924, in Jackson, Ohio, he was the son of the late John H. and Ida Sheward Washam.
He was a 1943 graduate of Jackson High School, and later attended Ohio State University.
He retired in 1982 from PA. Glass Sand, after 23 years of service.
He was a member of Presbyterian Church of Hagerstown.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge and Elks Club, both in Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn N. Washam, whom he married
in 1950; a son, Robert William Washam II of Scotsdale, Ariz.; a sister, Margaret Stephenson of Dayton, Ohio; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Fairmont Cemetery, Jackson.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd., Hagerstown.

Kathryn D. McSherry
LITTLE RIVER, S.C. - Kathryn Dyche McSherry, 95, of Little River, died Monday, May 29, 2000, at Grand Strand Hospital.
Born Nov. 2, 1904, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Henry Austin and Betty Kephart Dyche.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick A. McSherry.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Hagerstown.
She is survived by a daughter, Dodie White of Little River; a brother, James E. Dyche of Rogers, Ark.; two grandsons, the Rev. James B. White and Michael F. White, both of Lexington, N.C.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown.

William E. Toms
WILLIAMSPORT - William Eston Toms, 94, of 145 N. Artizan St., died Monday, May 29, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 2, 1906, in Myersville, Md., he was the son of the late Claude Evers and Annie Catherine Grossnickle Toms.
He was retired from Chester Farms in Frederick, Md.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of Myersville Church of the Brethren.
He was a member of Potomac Post 202 American Legion, Williamsport.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mildred Charlton Toms; and three sisters, Ellen Long of Waynesboro, Pa., Josephine Wycall of Duxbury, Mass., and Madeline Creager of Middletown, Md.; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mabel Bittle, Nora Shepley and Janice Weaver.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. W. Gregory Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home, which will be open after 9 a.m.
