Mary T. Smith
Mary Tolson Smith, 89, of 50 Summit Ave., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, in Waynesboro, Pa.
Born April 20, 1911, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lida Tolson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilton C. Smith.
She was a homemaker.
She was former president of Arts and Letters Society, a member of Conococheague Charter NSDAR, Hagerstown Women's Club and Congressional Country Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Ann Echols and Nancy Lee Smith; a son, Hilton C. Smith Jr.; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester Tolson and Robert Tolson.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church in Hagerstown. The Rev. Stuart Dunnan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mark's Episcopal cemetery in Boonsboro.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home in Charlotte Hall, Md.

Michael B. Kolich
Michael Barron Kolich, 46, of 20222 American Way, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at his home.
Born July 28, 1953, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Catherine Mae Yost Kolich.
He was employed by Mack Trucks.
He was a member of North American Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon K. Kolich; a daughter, Amy R. Kolich, at home; two sons, Michael Kolich and Wesley Lynn Kolich, both at home; three sisters, Penny Baker of Falling Waters, W.Va., Rose Johnston and Sharon Hardey, both of Hagerstown; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl John Kolich.
Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Richard R. Rexrode will officiate.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.

Rolland R. Young Jr.
Rolland Ray Young Jr., 45, of 11207 Marbern Road, Hagerstown, died Monday, June 5, 2000, at his home.
Born May 14, 1955, in New Orleans, he was the son of Rolland R. Sr. and Norman Jean Baird Young of Georgetown, Texas.
He was a graduate of South Terrebonne High School, Houma, La.; Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, La.; and did graduate work at Sam Houston University in Huntsville, Texas.
He was employed by First Data in Hagerstown.
He was a member of Christ Baptist Church in Houma.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Carla Jean Young of Dallas; a brother, Clark David Young of Fort Worth, Texas; and a nephew.
A memorial service will be held in Hagerstown at a later date. Burial will be in Berry Creek Cemetery, Georgetown.
A viewing will be held today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.
Ruth L. Landis
Ruth Louise Landis, 84, of 17806 Virginia Ave., Hagerstown, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Williamsport Nursing Home.
Born March 11, 1916, in Clear Spring, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Nora Ward Kuhn.
Her husband, Adrian N. Landis, died in 1991.
She was a 1936 graduate of Clear Spring High School. She graduated in 1939 from nurses training school at Washington County Hospital.
She was employed at Washington County Hospital, did private duty nursing and was employed as an office nurse for Dr. Jacob Warden and Dr. William Noel Fender.
She is survived by a daughter, Trina J. Landis Mickells of Tucson, Ariz.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends on Friday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jerry B. Leatherman
Jerry Blair Leatherman, 40, of 707 Queen Anne's Court, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 10, 1960, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Bruce Vernon Leatherman of Hagerstown and the late Verda Elizabeth Strite Leatherman.
He was a member of Springfield Presbyterian Church in Eldersburg, Md.
He was a member of Community Rescue Service Co. 75 in Hagerstown.
In addition to his father, he is survived by one sister, Joyce R. Hobson of Eldersburg; three foster sisters, Susan Kersh Miller and Sandra Myers, both of Hagerstown, and Nina Kersh of Sharpsburg; one niece and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce L. Leatherman.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Gretchen Utz will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill cemetery in Waynesboro, Pa.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
John F. Judd Jr.
Memorial services will be held Saturday for John Frank Judd Jr., 77, of Englewood, Fla., who died Thursday, May 11, 1999.
He was born Dec. 8, 1921, in Charles Town, W.Va.
He was a machinist with the Naval Research Laboratory.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He attended Englewood United Methodist Church.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge Kemper No. 64 in Falls Church, Va., and Myakka Pines Golf Club.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anna Judd; one daughter, Saralynn Pinson of Denton, Texas; one son, John F. Judd III of Indianapolis; one sister, Mary Buxton of Hagerstown; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Memorial services will be conducted by Kemper-Maco Ware Lodge 64 of Falls Church, Va., Saturday at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven cemetery in Hagerstown.
Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
