Maria R. Bynum
Maria Rita Lee Bynum, 50, of 713 George St., died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.
Born Dec. 27, 1949, in Savannah, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mildred Lee.
She was a graduate of North Hagerstown High School.
She was a counselor with Eastern Panhandle Training Center.
She attended Campher Memorial Kings Apostle Holiness Church.
She is survived by five sisters, Cassandra Sams of Philadelphia, and Cynthia Stubbs, Catherine Campbell, Dolores Bell and Carol Jeter, all of Hagerstown; one brother, Michael Lee of Baltimore; her fianc, Harry Harrison; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Edward Lee.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion Baptist Church, 61 W. Bethel St., Hagerstown. The Revs. Derek Kee and George N. Bell will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Viewing will be Saturday at the church at 10 a.m.
Arrangements are by Watson Funeral Home in Hagerstown.

Dorothy A. Hensley
BREMEN, Kan. - Dorothy Ann Hensley, 53, of 950 4th Road and formerly of Hagerstown, died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Hanover Hospital in Hanover, Kan.
Born Sept. 21, 1946, in Manhattan, Kan., she was the daughter of Eleanor Blockcolsky Mullinix of Manhattan and the late Benjamin Grayson Mullinix Sr.
She received her G.E.D. in 1980.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Eleanor Brown of Bremen; a sister, Chris Mullinix of Manhattan; a brother, Benjamin G. Mullinix Jr. of Tifton, Ga.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lamoureux.
Memorial services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville, Kan. The Rev. Jerry Zanifer will officiate.
Herbert F. Renner Sr.
Herbert Francis Renner Sr., 90, of 13601 Kenneth St., Hagerstown, died Thursday, June 8, at his home.
Born Jan. 24, 1910, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Oscar E. Renner and Elsie Rice Renner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Hazel Griffith Renner, who died in 1977.
He retired in 1975 from Newton D. Baker Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.
He attended Harvest Baptist Church in Hagerstown.
He was a member of the AARP and National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
He is survived by a daughter, Hazel Clark of Hagerstown; two sons, Herbert F. Renner Jr. of Clear Spring and Daniel M. Renner of Sharpsburg; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev. James E. Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. View cemetery in Sharpsburg.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral home will be open Sunday at 9 a.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
Paul A. Castle Sr.
WILLIAMSPORT - Paul Albert Castle Sr., 65, of Williamsport, died Friday, June 9, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Dec. 5, 1934, in Trego, Md., he was the son of Martha G. Smith Nick and the late Daniel Albert Castle.
He was employed by Mack Trucks for 30 years, retiring in 1992.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of American Legion Post 10, Amvets Post 10, BPOE Elks 378, Moose Lodge 2435, UAW and AARP.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Florence L. Castle; two sons, Paul A. Castle Jr. and Michael Anderson, both of Hagerstown; two sisters, Vivian Knight of Keedysville and Wanda Knight of Boonsboro; two brothers, George Messner of Boonsboro and Clinton Messner of Keedysville; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. The Rev. Paul A. Harne will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport, with military honors conducted by members of American Legion Morris Frock Post 42.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Angelina Fratianni
Angelina Fratianni, 87, a resident of C.J. Senior Care and formerly of 304 S. Cannon Ave., Hagerstown, died Friday, June 9, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 15, 1912, in Bisaccia, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Felino Selimine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Fratianni, in 1962.
She retired from the Laundry Department of Washington County Hospital.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She also was a member of Catholic Daughters and the Sodality.
She is survived by a sister, Flora Rohrer of Hagerstown; a brother, Joe Robucci of Hagerstown; three grandchildren, Denise Bishop, Lettie Mowery and Dennis J. Mowery, all of Hagerstown; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Grace Fratianni and Frances Mowery; a son, Danny Fratianni; a brother, Tony Robucci; and her stepfather, Angelo Robucci.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. The Rev. George A. Limmer will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday at noon at the funeral home.

Raymond E. Martz
BOONSBORO - Raymond Eugene Martz, 60, of 211 Della Lane, died Friday, June 9, 2000, at his home.
Born Oct. 12, 1939, in Mapleville, Md., he was the son of Mildred Easterday Martz of Boonsboro and the late Edgar E. Martz.
He was a member of Boonsboro Bible Church, where he was a member of Men's Bible Class.
He was employed by Brants Cabinet Works for more than 20 years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Crystal N. Cousins of Hagerstown; and five grandchildren, Dustin A. Cousins, Brandon J. Cousins, Jeremy N. Cousins, Trenton A. Cousins and Ashlynn N. Cousins, all of Hagerstown.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. The Revs. Robert O. Welty and Joseph Downs will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at 10 a.m.
