Michael P. Morgan
HANCOCK - Michael Patrick Morgan, 11, of Willow Road, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident near Hagerstown.
Born July 6, 1988, in Opelika, Ala., he was the son of Duane A. and Christy Hall Morgan of Hancock.
He was a sixth-grade student at Hancock Middle/Senior High School, where he was a member of the band.
He was a member of Ocala Word of Faith in Ocala, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sisters, Rebekah Morgan, Mary Morgan and twin sisters Andrea Morgan and Ashley Morgan, all at home; his grandmother, Carol Morgan of Keizer, Ore.; and great-grandmothers Anna Holbrook of Wayland, Mich., and Zena Morgan of Sweet Home, Ore.
A graveside service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 North in Frederick, Md. Pastor Larry A. Westcott will officiate.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St. in Hancock, which will open at 2 p.m.

Evelyn M. Poluch
Evelyn Melinda Poluch, 84, of 111 N. Cleveland Ave., Hagerstown, died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Sept. 14, 1915, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles Andrew and Myrtle V. Poffenberger Morris.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Joseph Poluch Sr.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Hebb and Diane Reynolds, both of Williamsport, and Marian Goetz of Hagerstown; a son, Patrick Joseph Poluch Jr. of Hagerstown; a sister, Doris Baker of Hagerstown; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Wilhide, Gladys Mahaney and Annabelle Rice; and four brothers, Harold Morris, Richard Morris, Charles Morris and Jack Morris.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. The Rev. Raymond H. Shriver will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Harvey H. Werking
Harvey Harold Werking, 80, of 10849 Oak Valley Drive, Hagerstown, died Friday, April 7, 2000, at his home.
Born May 4, 1919, in Woodsboro, Md., he was the son of the late Harvey Harrison and Catherine Thomas Werking.
He retired in 1985 from Allegheny Power after 34 years of service.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church, where he was head usher.
He was a member of BPO Elks Lodge 378, Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 and Forerunners Club of Allegheny Power.
He is survived by his wife, Iris Werking; two daughters, Iris L. Kresge and Linda J. Kayser, both of Hagerstown; a sister, Ethel Garrett of Marshfield, Mass.; a granddaughter; two grandsons; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Nicholson; and a brother, James Werking.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 129 N. Potomac St. The Rev. Richard W. Simpson will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd.

William T. Presgraves Sr.
Graveside services for William T. "Sarge" Presgraves Sr., 83, of 80 E. Irvin Ave., Hagerstown, who died Thursday, April 6, 2000, will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, with military honors conducted by members of American Legion Morris Frock Post 42. The Rev. Robert C. Lehman will officiate.

Leroy G. Reese
Leroy G. Reese, 80, of 14014 Marsh Pike, Hagerstown, and formerly of Ridge Road, Williamsport, died Friday, April 7, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Oct. 10, 1919, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Frank and May Bloom Reese.
His wife, Madeline M. Reese, died in 1989.
He was self-employed as a cab driver.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion.
He is survived by a son, Richard L. Reese of Hagerstown; a grandson, Charles F. Werry of Williamsport; two great-grandsons; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a half-sister, Marie Brown and a half-brother, Merle N. Brown.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. A. Paul Harne will officiate.
There will be no visitation.

Clyde L. Grossnickle
MYERSVILLE, Md. - Clyde L. Grossnickle, 85, of Myersville, died Sunday, April 9, 2000, at his home.
Born June 25, 1914, in Ellerton, Md., he was the son of the late Roy Wade and Maudie B. Blickenstaff Grossnickle.
His wife, Edna M. Harne Grossnickle, died in 1997.
He was a lifelong farmer in the Myersville area. From 1970 to 1972 he was a deputy sheriff in Frederick County.
He was a member of Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren. In 1970 he traveled to Russia and other European countries with People to People.
He was a member of American Simmental Association, member of Heifer Project International and at the death of his granddaughter in 1992, he established the Brandy Dawn Grossnickle Endowment at Heifer International Foundation in her memory.
He is survived by a son, Wayne W. Grossnickle of Myersville; three sisters, Edna Pryor and Vada Bussard, both of Boonsboro and Sara Wilson of Pennsylvania; one brother, Abe Grossnickel of Hagerstown; three grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and his care-givers, Alex and Wanda McIntyre of Boonsboro.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Beulah Grossnickle, Ruth Rowland and Mae Wolfe; two brothers, Cyrus Grossnickel and Joe Grossnickel.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, 20402 Beaver Creek Road, Beaver Creek, Md. The Rev. Rachel Black will officiate.
