Lee Roy Deal, 82, Salisbury, Pa., died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at Meyersdale (Pa.) Medical Center.
Born Aug. 13, 1918, in Elk Lick Township, Pa., he was a son of the late Lester and Nellie (Reiber) Deal. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty M. (Beachy) Deal; one sister, Edna Schrock; and two brothers, Earl Deal and Glenn Deal.
He was a dairy farmer and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury.
Survivors include four sons, Jerry Deal, Salisbury, Bernard Deal, Cumberland, Paul W. Deal, Meyersdale, and George Deal, Salisbury; two daughters, Ellen Opel, Salisbury, and Dorothy Jones, Parsons, W.Va.; one brother, Clyde Deal, Salisbury; one sister, Pauline Shumaker, Salisbury; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday. A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, April 13, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Salisbury Cemetery.

EDNA J. JUNKINS
Edna Josephine Junkins, 91, Kitzmiller, died Monday, April 8, 2001, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born Nov. 3, 1909, in Elk Garden, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late George O. and Magie (Warnick) Harding. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Truman Junkins.
She was a member of the Kitzmiller Assembly of God Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, George "Bill" Junkins, Kitzmiller; one daughter, Loraine Elliott, Kitzmiller; one sister, Eva Lee Rohrbaugh, Elk Garden; one grandson; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, Kitzmiller, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday. A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, April 13, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. James Mou and the Rev. Sam Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in the Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden.
NANCY M. DRAGOO
Nancy Marie Dragoo, 59, Oakland, died Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland.
Born December 26, 1941, in Fairmont, W.Va., she was a daughter of Samuel John Lee, Coolville, Ohio, and the late Caroline (Wilson) Lee.
She was a retired sales clerk and a member of Proctor Kildow Post #71, American Legion Auxiliary.
In addition to her father, she is surived by her husband, John F. Dragoo; two sons, William L. Dragoo, Acme, Pa., and Richard A. Dragoo, Pittsburgh; one brother, David Lee, Philadelphia, Pa.; and one sister, Connie Kirchdoerfer, Surf Side Beach, S.C.
At the deceased's request, her body was cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
The family requests memorials take the form of contributions to the Southern or Northern Garrett County rescue squads.

HARRY B. BUCKLEY
Harry Blaine Buckley, 87, Oakland, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at his home.
Born March 23, 1914, in Thomas, W.Va., he was the son of the late J.E. and Estella (Stemple) Buckley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Pauline V. Buckley, and one grandchild.
He retired after serving for many years as the director of the Maryland Bureau of Mines. He was a member of the Oak Park Church of the Brethren; a 50-year member of Thomas Fairfax Lodge 174 AF&AM; and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was also a life member of the NRA and a member of Camp 11 Woodmen of the World.
Survivors include two sons, Robert G. Buckley, Clearspring, and Douglas E. Buckley, Oakland; one sister, Mary Craven, Orlando, Fla.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday. A service will be conducted at the Oak Park Church of the Brethren on Friday, April 13, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Mel Menker officiating. Cremation will follow.

ERNEST D. LEWIS SR.
Ernest Dale Lewis Sr., 68, Cross, W.Va., died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at Potomac Valley Hospital.
Born Sept. 4, 1932, in Kempton, W.Va., he was a son of the late Mitchell and Elsie (Kesner) Lewis.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was retired from the Masteller Coal Company, where he worked for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife, Betty (Nelson) Lewis; one son, Ernest Dale Lewis Jr., Cross; three daughters, Virginia Clark, Keyser, W.Va., Debra Schwinabart, Mt. Storm, W.Va., and Judy Lewis, at home; three sisters, Shirley Rinker, Oakland, Pam Tabbit, Ohio, and Sue Knotz, California; 10 grand-children; and six great-grand-children.

RAY F. DOMAN
Ray F. Doman, 70, Romney, W.Va., died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, at Hampshire Memorial Hospital, Romney.
Born June 13, 1930, in Hampshire County, he was a son of the late Edward and Nina (Everett) Doman. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Doman and George "Gundy" Doman, and one sister, Katherine Doman.
He worked in the finishing room at Westvaco Corp., and retired in 1992 after 23 years of service. He was a member of the Romney Presbyterian Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Ruby A. (Hott) Doman; one daughter, Diana K. Doman, Accident; two brothers, Charles E. Doman, Romney, and Earl E. Doman, Capon Bridge, W.Va.; and one sister, Alice Wertman, LaVale.
Friends will be received at the Shaffer Funeral Home, Romney, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday. A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, April 13, at 1 p.m., with Dr. John S. Franklin officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney. Military rites will be accorded by the veterans organizations of Hampshire County.

FRANK W. ROBINETTE SR.
Frank W. Robinette Sr., 82, Oakland, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at his home.
Born June 7, 1918, in Portsmouth, Ohio, he was a son of the late Frank J. and Virginia E. (Combo) Robinette. He was also preceded in death by one son, Randall S. Robinette.
He was a member of the Mt. Top Seventh Day Adventist Church, Oakland. He was a retired boilermaker and a member of Local #667, International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers, and Helpers, AFLCIO.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific during World War II and was a member of Proctor Kildow Post #71, American Legion, Oakland, and the VFW in Mt. Storm, W.Va.
Survivors include his wife, Cora Susan (Bird) Robinette; four daughters, Linda L. Robinette, Mtn. Lake Park, Cathy J. Gray, Swanton, and M. Diane Kuhn and Debora S. Harvey, both of Oakland; two sons, Frank W. Robinette Jr., Oakland, and Gregory B. Robinette, New Martinsville, W.Va.; two sisters, Dorothy M. Neal and Gladys Williams, both of Ashland, Ky.; one brother, Curtis R. Robinette, Ashland; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday. A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, April 14, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Bayard (W.Va.) Cemetery.

DANIEL C. WHITTELSEY
Daniel Chauncey Whittelsey, 77, Mtn. Lake Park, formerly of Coral Gables, Fla., died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
Born Jan. 24, 1924, in Babylon, N.Y., he was a son of the late Daniel I. and Freda (Peck) Whittelsey.
He was a 1943 graduate of the Taft School and a 1950 graduate of Yale University. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, where he served as a lieutenant. He was the founder and CEO of Whittelsey Wood Products and Jacaranda Incorporated. He was a member of the Deep Creek Yacht Club and wrote a column for The Republican newspaper.
Survivors include his wife, Elisabeth (Luckey) Whittelsey; two sons, Daniel I. Whittelsey, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Thomas F. Whittelsey, Miami, Fla.; two daughters, Lee Saba, Ashburn, Va., and Carol P. Bonella, Sarasota, Fla.; one sister, Katherine H. Whittelsey, Charlottesville, Va.; and nine grandchildren.

Anna Catherine Colmer, 75, Nikep, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at her home.
Born June 2, 1925, in Westernport, she was a daughter of the late John Howard and Rosa (Broadwater) O'Haver. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Jim O'Haver, and one grandson.
She was Methodist by faith and was retired from the Celanese Fibers Corp. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Barton Post 189, American Legion.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Lorraine Colmer; her children, Carolyn Frances Dolly, Cumberland, Edna Katherine Warnick, Moscow, Walter Neat, Cumberland, Mary Lorraine Smith, Barton, and Wilda Rose Ritchie, Pekin; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Olin O'Haver, Pekin, and Francis O'Haver, Michigan; and five sisters, Mary Speelman, Cumberland, Nellie Broadwater, Nikep, Wilma Jean Warnick, Pontiac, Mich., Doris Whiteman, Savage River, and Donna Michaels, Pekin.

IRENE D. STRICKLER
Irene D. Strickler, 84, Westernport, died Friday, March 30, 2001, at Heartland Nursing Home, Keyser, W.Va.
Born Oct. 16, 1913, in Jennings, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah (Bittinger) Hoover. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Victor G. Strickler; one daughter, Joanne Kyle; five sisters; and four brothers.
She was a member of the Piedmont (W.Va.) Church of God. She had worked at the Lonaconing Silk Mill, the Celanese Fibers Corp., and Kenny's Market.
Survivors include one son, Victor H. Strickler, Piedmont; one brother, Herman E. Hoover, Peoria, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, where a service was conducted Monday, April 2, with the Rev. Ada Kittle officiating. Interment followed in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
RONALD L. DOLAN
Ronald Lee Dolan, 50, Mtn. Lake Park, died Friday, March 30, 2001, as the result of a single engine airplane accident near the Concord (N.C.) Regional Airport.
Born Sept. 13, 1950, in Grantsville, he was a son of Joseph Dolan, Accident, and the late Mary Jane (Beachy) Dolan.
He was a pilot for Corporate Air Fleet, Inc., and was the former owner of Plane Aviation. He was also employed by Bausch & Lomb. He was a member of Air Plane Owners and Pilots Association and the NRA.
Survivors include four daughters, Candy DolanOpel, Frostburg, Sandy Wotring, Oakland, Kathy Dolan-Yoder, Grantsville, and Debi Dolan, Virginia Beach, Va.; three brothers, Owen and Robert Dolan, both of Accident, and Ricky Dolan, Mtn. Lake Park; and seven grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville. A service was conducted at the Cherry Glade Mennonite Church on Tuesday, April 3, with the Rev. Elmer Maust officiating. Interment was in the Grantsville Cemetery.

RUTH E. YOUNKIN
Ruth E. Younkin, 78, Grantsville, and more recently a resident of the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland, died Friday, March 30, 2001, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born Sept. 16, 1922, in Jennings, she was a daughter of the late John Dennis and Lillian (Hare) Swauger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Clayton Younkin, on May 5, 1971, and three daughters, Betty Ruth, Judy, and Donna.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Bryson H. Rodeheaver, 7-day-old son of Dennis W. Rodeheaver Jr. and Richann M. (Murphy) Rodeheaver, Mtn. Lake Park, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born March 21, 2001, in Oakland.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his twin brother, Tyler F. Rodeheaver; paternal grandparents, Dennis W. and Wilma (Pysell) Rodeheaver, Oakland, and Mariam D. (Frederick) Rodeheaver, Morgantown, W.Va.; maternal grandparents, Michael C. and Carole A. (Porter) Ford, Oakland; maternal great-grandparents, Harley and Norma (Ashby) Murphy, Oakland, Nellie (Durr) Ford, Masontown, W.Va., and Barbara (Urmos) Porter, Oakland; and paternal great-grandparents, Lonnie H. and Mary (Friend) Rodeheaver, and Ivan Frederick, all of Oakland, and Joann (Lawson) Frederick, Elkins, W.Va.

Brian Jeffrey Wachter, 35, Mammoth Lakes, Calif., formerly of Garrett County, died Thursday, March 22, 2001, at his home.
He was a son of Shorty Wachter, Deep Creek Lake, and Jackie Torres, Florence, Texas.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Leisa Wachter; his paternal grandmother, Alma Wachter, Deep Creek Lake; and one brother, Corky Wachter, Rockville.
A service and remembrance ceremony will be conducted at the Wisp Resort on Saturday, May 26. Friends are asked to meet at the McHenry House at 6 p.m.

Doris M. Drees, 73, Finzel, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at her home.
Born April 10, 1927, in Pocahontas, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Walter and Pearl (Baer) Baer. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janis "Dolly" Dugan, in 1992, and a son, Gerald Conrad Drees, in 1994.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pocahontas.
Survivors include her husband, Bernard C. Drees; two sisters, Betty A. Bell, Akron, Ohio, and Janice Williams, Somerset, Pa.; one brother, David Baer, Akron; and one grandson.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Friday, April 6, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Father Albert J. Anselmi as celebrant.
Interment will be in the Finzel Cemetery.
