Nancy A. Gruber
PIKESVILLE, Md. - Nancy A. Heintzman Gruber, 72, of Pikesville, died Monday, April 24, 2000, at Manor Care in Towson, Md.
Born May 16, 1927, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Arthur F. and Katharyn Barnhart Heintzman.
She was a member of Ames-Sudbrook United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She was a member of Pikesville Women's Club, Retired Methodist Ministers and Spouse of the Methodist Baltimore area.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Lavely D. Gruber; a daughter, Lynn Clark of Fayetteville, N.C., and a son, Mark L. Gruber of Timonium, Md.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 30, at 3 p.m. at Milford Mill United Methodist Church, 915 Milford Mill Road, Pikesville, Md. The Revs. Betty Dunlop, Laura B. Easto and Carl B. Rife will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ames-Sudbrook United Methodist Church, 501 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208; or to The Church Ministries of the Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church, 10 E. Allen K. Chilcoat
Allen Kurtz Chilcoat, 68, of 20067 Old Forge Road, died Monday, April 24, in Washington County Hospital.
Born Dec. 31, 1931, in Hereford, Md., he was the son of the late Homer and Frances V. Tampsett Chilcoat.
He retired in 1993 from Bendix Field Engineering Corp., where he worked as an engineer for 32 years. He also was a manager of Radio Shack at Long Meadow Shopping Center.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He was a member of Morris Frock American Legion Post 42, and Hagerstown Fish and Game Club.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Geraldine Freitas Chilcoat; two daughters, Laurie Marie Lewis of Mount Airy, Md., and Valerie Frances Sipes of Hagerstown; four sons, Steven Allen Chilcoat of Newark, Del., James Curtis Chilcoat of Greencastle, Pa., Frank Allen Chilcoat of Smithsburg and Michael Paul Chilcoat of Hagerstown; one sister, Grace Broe of Woodlynne, N.J.; two brothers, William Chilcoat of Reistertown, Md., and Donald Chilcoat of White Marsh, Md.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ward I, 1253 Mount Aetna Road in Hagerstown. Bishop James Hall will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Arrangements are by Rest Haven Funeral Chapel in Hagerstown.
LeRoy F. Saunders
LeRoy Francis Saunders, 57, of 10812 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown, who died Wednesday April 19, 2000, was a 1962 graduate of the Maryland School for the Deaf in Frederick, Md.

Patricia A. Munson
SMITHSBURG - Patricia Ann "Patsy" Munson, 63, of Jefferson Boulevard, died Monday, April 24, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Dec. 25, 1936, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Russell Edward and Helen C. Dailey Hammersla.
She was employed by Maryland Shoe Co. in Hagerstown and Smithsburg Market, Smithsburg.
She attended the Seventh-day Adventist church in Hagerstown.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon Wayne Munson; a daughter, Helen C. Warner of Hagerstown; four sons, Samuel Edward Snyder of Maugansville, William Owen Hines of Cumberland, Md., Ernest Mitchell Hines of Waynesboro, Pa., and Dwayne Scott Munson of Thurmont, Md.; three brothers, Donald J. Hammersla of Boonsboro, Jack Hammersla Sr. of Smithsburg and Theodore J. Hammersla of Hagerstown; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Jane Stevenson and Rose M. Cline; three brothers, George William Hammersla, Robert E. Hammersla and Charles R. Hammersla.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg. The Rev. Jim Hoffer will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
There will be no viewing.
Donald L. Nines
Donald L. Nines, 63, of Hagerstown, died Monday, April 24, 2000, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born June 21, 1936, in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late Harry L. and Vera Harbaugh Nines.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by a sister, Dorothy Nines of Cumberland; and three brothers, Melvin Nines of Spring Gap, Md., John Nines of Willow Grove, Pa., and Charles Nines of Temple, Ga.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Rocky Gap Veterans cemetery in Cumberland.
Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
Donald L. DeBow
BANNING, Calif. - Donald L. DeBow, 70, of Banning, died Thursday, March 30, 2000.
Born April 18, 1929, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Charles and Martha DeBow.
He worked in the computer field until retiring.
He attended Hagerstown High School.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Claire; a daughter, Bobbie Jean; two sons, Donnie Jr. and Darin, all of Southern California; a sister, Patsy of Hagerstown; two brothers, Charles L. of Loudoun County, Va., and Robert W. of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Sunday, April 9.
Harry Barnhart Jr.
HANCOCK - Harry "Ike" Barnhart Jr., 79, of Orchard Ridge Road, died Monday, April 24, 2000, at his home.
Born Aug. 16, 1920, in Fulton County, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry Sr. and Bessie Seal Barnhart.
He retired from Fairchild in Hagerstown.
He was a Protestant.
He was a member of AARP; and Johns Hopkins Research Cardiovascular Health Study.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Younker Barnhart, whom he married
in 1942; a daughter, Janice A. Fink of Hancock; two sons, Leroy I. Barnhart and Edward E. Barnhart, both of Hancock; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Otto Philip Barnhart and Bernard M. Barnhart; six sisters, Lilly Eddy, Edith Ray, Mary Brown, Elizabeth Diehl, Kathryn Gordon and Susie MacCumbee; and three brothers, Webster Barnhart, Russell Barnhart and Charles Barnhart.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St. in Hancock. The Rev. William Swope will officiate. Burial will be in Orchard Ridge First Church of God Cemetery, Orchard Ridge Road in Hancock.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at noon.
