BRUNSWICK, Md. - Carol Ann Longerbeam, 59, of Brunswick, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.
Born July 2, 1940, in Stanley, Va., she was the daughter of the late Mervin I. and Gaynelle K. Carroll Bartlett.
She was a graduate of Boonsboro High School.
She worked at American Optical Co.; Cindy-Dee Restaurant in Sandy Hook; and prior to retirement at the 7-Eleven store in Lovettsville, Va..
She was a member of Petersville Luther Chapel.
She was a member and secretary of TOPS Club, Jefferson, Md.
She is survived by two sons, LeRoy Morris of Jefferson, and Duane Morris of Harrisburg, Pa.; a brother, Mervin Bartlett; three sisters, Penny Nuice, Yvonne Mentzer and Silky Kenney; nieces; nephews; and her companion, Lynn Carl of Harrisburg.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Petersville Luther Chapel, 1634 Jefferson Pike, Petersville, Md. Burial will be in Brownsville Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, Md.

Mary E. Jenkins
BRUNSWICK, Md. - Mary Elizabeth West Jenkins, 90, of Brunswick, and formerly of Charles Town, W.Va., died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.
Born Sept. 19, 1909, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Thomas U. and Blanche B. Clipp West.
Her husband, Norvel Bryan Jenkins, died Jan. 1, 1968.
She formerly owned and operated Reedson Market in Reedson, W.Va.
She was a member of Petersville Lutheran Chapel, Knoxville; and a former member of Uvilla (W.Va.)United Methodist Church.
She was a member of Peach Orchard Club, Brunswick House in Brunswick.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou Green of Knoxville and Norma Harrison Sain of Fairfax, Va.; six grandchildren, Mary Beth Beijers, Pamela D. Jamison, Jean M. Brandenburg, Bryan H. Green, Kevin B. Harrison and Kristen H. Robinson; 10 great-grandchildren and a niece.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas West.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. The Rev. Carroll Boyer will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sarah M. Iselin
BIG POOL - Sarah Margaret Iselin, 76, of Pectonville Road, died Monday, March 13, 2000, at Ravenwood Lutheran Village in Hagerstown.
Born Dec. 7, 1923, in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry Carl and Ruth Ann Metz Sampson.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Sharpsburg United Brethren Church.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Leon Iselin; two daughters, Judy A. Dickey of Big Pool, and Tena Mae Smallwood of Falling Waters, W.Va.; a son, Anthony Edward Iselin of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Cathryn Victoria Smith of Charleston, W.Va.; five brothers, Harry Carl Sampson Jr., of Temple Hills, Md., James Samuel Sampson of Farmers Branch, Texas, Max Harvey Sampson of Chevy Chase, Md., Marvin Richard Sampson of Laurel, Md., and Mark Daniel Sampson of Jarrettsville, Md.; three grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Benchof and Naomi Ruth Smith; and a brother, Ernest Raymond Sampson.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Parkhead United Methodist Church, Big Pool. The Rev. Dennis Whitmore will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Madeline V. Grams
MYERSVILLE, Md. - Madeline Virginia Grams, 84, of 230 Mountain Terrace, died Friday, March 9, 2000, at her home.
Born Jan. 6, 1916, in Chestnut Grove, Md., she was the daughter of the late John and Cora Baker Springer.
Her husband, Thomas Frederick Grams, died Nov. 25, 1976.
She was a member of Locust Valley Bible Church, Middletown, Md.
She is survived by five sons, Clarence F. Grams of Frederick, Md., Howard Grams of Broken Bow, Okla., Vernon Grams of Carney's Point, N.J., Leslie P. Grams and David L. Grams, both of Myersville; six daughters, Mary V. Masser of Venadocia, Ohio, Eunice D. Parsons and Lydia M. Stewart, both of Hedgesville, W.Va., Esther E. Foster and Ruthie L. Zepp, both of Myersville, Dorothy E. Gross of Middletown; a sister, Catherine Metz of Hagerstown, 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters; four brothers; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Locust Valley Bible Church. The Rev. Curvin D. Stambaugh will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown, which will be open from 1 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the church.
James I. Boyd
OCALA, Fla. - James Ivan Boyd, 66, of Ocala, and formerly of Gerrardstown, W.Va., died Friday, March 10, 2000, at his home under the care of Hospice.
Born Oct. 2, 1933, in Gerrardstown, he was the son of Frances Aikens Boyd and the late John Allen Boyd.
He was a 1951 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He formerly owned and operated Wiest and Boyd Grocery in Gerrardstown. He retired from Inwood Post Office as a rural mail carrier.
He was a member of Gerrardstown United Methodist Church, serving as treasurer for 18 years until transferring to Ocala West United Methodist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Miriam Wiest Boyd; three daughters, Cindy Woods of Martinsburg, W.Va., Lisa Loudan of Gerrardstown and Melanie Clark of Palm Bay, Fla.; a son, J. Scott Boyd of Gerrardstown; three sisters, Janet Boyd and Sharon Boyd, both of Gerrardstown, and Joyce Braithwaite of Inwood, W.Va.; a brother, Paul Boyd of Gerrardstown; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte James.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gerrardstown United Methodist Church. Dr. Conrad O. Link and the Rev. J. Clyde Brooks will officiate. Burial will be at Gerrardstown Presbyterian Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today and Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
The casket will be taken to the church one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
