Beverly C. Grove
CLEAR SPRING - Beverly Clever Grove, 52, of 13338 Independence Road, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Born Aug. 10, 1947 in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Herman and Margaret Fitz Clever.
She was a 1965 graduate of Waynesboro High School.
She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church, taught junior church and sang in the choir.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Gary Eugene Grove; a daughter, Donna M. Carbaugh of Clear Spring; four sons, Allen E. Grove, Anthony B. Grove and Jeremy S. Grove, all of Clear Spring, and Jonathan D. Grove of Hagerstown; a sister, Paula Grove of Clear Spring; four brothers, Carl Clever of Savage, Md., Dale Clever of Waynesboro, Terry Clever of Hagerstown and Jerry Clever of Chambersburg, Pa.; five granddaughters; and 16 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Harvest Baptist Church. The Rev. James E. Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.

Elizabeth M. Stults
Elizabeth M. Stults, 88, of 18522 Orchard Hills Parkway, Hagerstown, and formerly of Cranbury, N.J., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Jan. 25, 1912, in Albany, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Claude J. and Genevie N. DeYoe Merchant.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John A. Stults; a daughter, Suzanne S. Hollenshead of Hagerstown; a sister, Jane Greene of Strausburg, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Walters.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Brainerd cemetery in Cranbury. The Rev. Louis J. Mitchell will officiate.

Dorothy J. Petre
Dorothy Janette Petre, 95, of Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Home, and formerly of 813 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
She is survived by a daughter, Martha Mauck of Frederick, Md.
Howard R. Eckstine
WILLIAMSPORT - Howard Ragan Eckstine, 76, of 154 N. Artizan St., died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at Williamsport Nursing Home.
Born May 24, 1923, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late William R. and Ethel V. Spessard Eckstine.
He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Hagerstown.
He is survived by a sister, Doris Louise Ridenour of Hagerstown; and three nieces, Barbara Macht and Brenda L. Ridenour, both of Hagerstown, and Linda L. Ridenour of Reisterstown, Md.
He was preceded in death by a brother, W. Richard Eckstine.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Stephen D. Robison will officiate.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church, 108 E. Franklin St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Marvin D. Watson
WILLIAMSPORT - Marvin D. Watson, 68, of Williamsport, and formerly of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at City Hospital.
Born March 26, 1931, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles and Goldie Williams Watson.
He was the former owner of Howard Street Market in Hagerstown.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a Protestant.
He was a member of Moose Lodge 212 and Izaak Walton League in Hagerstown. He was state archery champion for six years, and a member of Potomac Fish and Game Club.
He is survived by his wife, Janis Walburn Watson; five daughters, Doris Kentner and Marvene Hull, both of Hagerstown, Betty Grabiel of Augusta, W.Va., Virginia Jones of Martinsburg and Nancy Churchey of Williamsport; a son, Charles Watson of Martinsburg; a sister, Pauline Sonnenberg of Martinsburg; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Pearl Myers, Margaret Caton, Mildred Lynch and Hilda Wagley; and two brothers, Robert Watson and Lee Watson.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Rosedale Cemetery. The Rev. William C. Crowe will officiate.

BOONSBORO - Ethel May Miller Peck, 88, of Reeders Memorial Home, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at the home.

Janet C. Bowen
Janet Carol Bowen, 57, of 17530 Swann Road, Hagerstown, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 27,1942, in Fairplay, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd William and Hilda Mae Lambert Smith.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, James Robert Bowen; four daughters, Virginia Bowen, Beth Morris, Christy Hines and Lorie Smith, all of Hagerstown; two sisters, Patsy Dagenhart of Sharpsburg and Shirley Myers of Fairplay; a brother, Wayne Smith of Boonsboro and two grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Loyal H. Vanderveer will officiate. Burial will be in Manor cemetery in Tilghmanton, Md.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary E. Bell
HANCOCK - Mary E. Bell, 78, of Maryland Ave., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 30, 1921, in Millstone, Md., she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Myrtle Burnett Fink.
Her husband, Orrin David Bell, died Oct. 16, 1974.
She is survived by a brother, Ary Glenn Fink of Baltimore; seven nieces and 10 nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Emma Murray, Virginia Dailey and Eva Parousis, and two brothers, William Donald Fink and Ernest L. Fink.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock. The Rev. William Swope will officiate. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open from 3 to 9 p.m.
