Ernest T. Semler
Ernest Thomas "Ike" Semler, 84, of 409 Liberty St., Hagerstown, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at Colton Villa Nursing Home.
Born Dec. 23, 1915, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Thomas Lewis and Mary Elizabeth Cramer Semler.
His wife, Emma Katherine Semler, died in 1998.
He was employed by the State of Maryland in Baltimore as a law enforcement officer for 10 years, and previously with Martin-Marietta for 32 years, with Glen L. Martin and with Pangborn Corp.
He attended Evangel Baptist Church.
He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.
He was a member of Maryland Law Enforcement Officers.
He is survived by five nieces, one nephew, one great-nephew and his caregivers, George and Jenny Smith of Hagerstown.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Ernest Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Theresa H. Grove
Theresa Harper Grove, 67, of 807 Mulberry Ave., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at her home.
Born Oct. 26, 1932, in Point of Rocks, Md., she was the daughter of Mildred Loy Harper of Hagerstown and the late Charles W. Harper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Arlington Grove, in 1972.
She was a homemaker.
She attended St. James Brethren Church in St. James.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Laura J. Grove and Christine M. Younger, both of Hagerstown; a son, Charles William Grove of Albion, Maine; three sisters, Janet F. Biller of Sterling, Va., Myra L. Poffenberger of Maugansville and Nita B. Zwoliski of California; three brothers, John W. Harper of Hadley, Mass., Gerald C. Harper of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., and Ray B. Harper of Hagerstown; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a special friend, Max O. Billmyer, in 1996.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. in Hagerstown. The Rev. Brian Moore will officiate.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Earl J. Feiser
Earl Joseph Feiser, 82, of 614 Maryland Ave., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 25, 1917, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Ralph Good and Lenora Smith Feiser.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta C. Feiser, in 1985.
He retired from Westinghouse in Baltimore; and previously was employed by Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown; Danzer Sheet Metal Works in Hagerstown; and Superior Dairy in Hagerstown.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. He was awarded the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, among others.
He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Hagerstown.
He was a member of Funkstown Rod and Gun Club; Masonic Temple of Williamsport; and Potomac Fish and Game Club.
He played the fiddle in the early 1930s at the Old Saturday Nite Barn Dance at the Masonic Temple; and with the Valley Reveleers, Gene and His Saddle Pals, and Happy Johnny and The Boys. He played the fiddle with Pappy and The Boys from the 1940s to the 1960s. He won a Tri-state fiddling contest in 1934.
He is survived by a son, Gary W. Feiser Sr. of Falling Waters, W.Va.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Feiser; and two brothers, George Feiser and Harry Feiser.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert Revell will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery, with military honors by American Legion Morris Frock Post 42.

Robert I. Delauter
WILLIAMSPORT - Robert Irvin Delauter, 69, of Lockwood Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Oct. 31, 1930, in Downsville, he was the son of the late Austin C. and Florence E. Metz Delauter.
He was employed by Martin's Food Stores as bakery manager; then by Tortuga Restaurant in Hagerstown, retiring in 1995. He then worked part time for Tortuga.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952. He received several honors including three Bronze Stars.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Louise Lowman Delauter of Williamsport; a daughter, Debra L. Sprankle of Hagerstown; four sons, William D. Kirby, Robert L. Delauter and Douglas Roane, all of Hagerstown and Dennis L. Kirby of Universal City, Texas; three sisters, Hazel Langenstein of Hagerstown, Lucille Wetzel of Funkstown and Jo-Ann Hawthorne of Baltimore; 10 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; a great-granddaughter; four stepgreat-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Austin Lee Delauter.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St. in Williamsport. The Rev. Robert V. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery in Hagerstown, with military services by Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion of Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open today after 9 a.m.

Caitlin M. Seville
MAUGANSVILLE - Caitlin Marie Seville, infant daughter of Heather Seville of Maugansville, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
She was born Jan. 12, 2000, in Baltimore.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by maternal grandparents, Theresa and James Seville Sr. of Mercersburg, Pa.; maternal great-grandmother, Vestra Seville of Mercersburg; an uncle; and a cousin.
Services, burial and visitation will be private.

Zella M. Frusher
WILLIAMSPORT - Zella Mae Frusher, 89, of Virginia Avenue, and formerly of Michigan, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at Homewood Retirement Center.
Born May 3, 1910, in Deckerville, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Levi and Eunice Fair Sawdon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Henry Frusher, in 1987.
She was a graduate of Pontiac Business Institute in Michigan.
She was a member of Hagerstown Church of the Brethren.
She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Michigan.
She is survived by a daughter, Charlene McCumons of Smithsburg; a son, Warren S. Frusher of Smithsburg; a sister, Jane Brian of Clarkston, Mich.; a brother, Harold Sawdon of Deckerville, Mich.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Sawdon.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Lewis E. Wint and Son Funeral Home, 5929 S. Main St. in Clarkston. The Rev. David Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in Oxbow Lakeside cemetery in Union Lake, Mich.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown; and Monday at noon at the funeral home in Clarkston.
